I have always been skeptical of chiropractors, probably because everyone around me has always been skeptical of them and also because I've gone to a couple of them without really seeing any results, instant or long term. I've always had lower back pain that comes and goes due to a childhood injury, and multiple sports and non-sports related fractures...etc. My knees (especially left knee) have always hurt and I went to an ortho as well as months of physical therapy - no improvement whatsoever. I went to a chiropractor on and off for over 2-3 years and would feel a tiny bit better each time but now I think it was probably just all in my head, as I never really did feel any better (hence why I went on and off). For the past few months my knees have been bothering me not just when I'm working out or going up and down the stairs, but also when i'm just walking... in flats! They started to hurt more and more and in the past few weeks, my left knee would ache even when i'm sitting/laying down! I finally gave in and looked up chiropractors on google with good reviews and came across Munroe Chiropractic. It worked perfectly for me as I work close to the location. After reading the few but highly rated reviews, I decided to schedule an appointment with Dr. Aaron and I'm so glad I did! Everyone at the office was SUPER friendly and efficient. It took me about 15-20 min to fill out all the paperwork, then I watched a 5min intro video and Dr.Aaron came in. He took the time to go over everything with me and did the adjustment in under 5 min. THE PAIN IN BOTH OF MY KNEES WERE GONE! INSTANTLY!!! My left knee is still a tiny bit sore when I walk up and down the stairs, but as far as walking - NO PAIN WHATSOEVER. The difference was so IMMEDIATE I couldn't believe it. I'll be going back two more times next week and Dr.Aaron thinks that that may be enough for me! I asked about maintenance because all other chiropractors have always put me on some kind of a maintenance plan at least once a month, and he said I may not even need it! I absolutely love the powerful adjustment from Dr. Aaron. I am a big girl and need someone super strong to snap, crackle, and pop me sufficiently. Dr. Ken adjust 400-lb athletes, and I assume Dr. Aaron does too. Everything cracks, everything pops, some things I've never even known existed snap. WALK INS WELCOME! I always have an enjoyable experience when I come to Munroe. I started coming here after a car accident I was in. Dr.Aaron was incredible, he made sure to be careful with me and create a plan that best fit my needs. My lower back is very hurt and has awful herniation's so Aaron works on the cervical and thoracic spine. Every time I walk in I am greeted by the nicest staff I have ever encountered. The girls are always so pleasant and willing to make conversation. Also, I never have to wait very long to see the doctor. The office makes sure to get each patient in and out in a timely manner. When I leave this office I am very happy and I feel like a new person. I usually get head aches that dissipate almost immediately after my weekly adjustment. Everyone here truly understands the importance of time and they get you in and out. The girls behind the desk are super fun and chatty as well! I cannot stop myself from promoting this practice and referring friends/family because it is just that great. Dr. Aaron saved my life. I say this seriously, without hesitation and honestly. I've had so many lows with L5/S1 issues and rotated pelvis / leg discrepancies. I'm a new patient after having a car accident recently that really messed up my neck. Everybody here is super friendly and accommodating. Others have noted they get you in and out quickly- and it's true. Very professional all around, and if that isn't enough- there's always a bowl of Dum Dum lollipops at reception. And free coffee and tea. Even if I didn't like everybody here, free stuff rocks, am I right??? Dr. Matt is my doctor and he really knows his stuff! Just last week, I complained that my back on the right side was super tight and hurt a lot. So Dr. Matt dutifully pressed his finger- hard! into the spot. It was agony. At first I naturally assumed this was his way of getting back at me for always stuffing my pockets with Dum Dums when I think nobody is looking. But no! After two or three minutes, the muscle completely relaxed and he was able to continue my treatment. Super happy to be a patient! They rock! read more

Save your money if you are considering their spinal decompression. After my therapy was completed I began having numbness in my leg, foot and groin. I had to be put on gabapentin by my spinal specialist to help alleviate the new issue . My updated MRI showed that my original problems were actually worsened. You are required to pay for 20 visits up front and no refund if you do not do all 20 visits as happened to my colleague. The owner Ken can't seem to get in a sentence without the F bomb thrown in . That in itself I guess demonstrates the lack of professionalism. Another issue I have with the therapy is that there is no standard .The workers strap you in until they think it's snug enough . I had 2 different the techs strap me in during the course of the therapy .The tightness varied alot . There is not a guage in ft lbs to actually measure the tightness . In my opinion I would definitely not consider Munroe chiropractic. There are others that offer this procedure and may be worth looking into but I honestly do not think they know what they are doing at Munroe . read more

I have been going to Munroe Chiropractic since I was 16 I am now 28. I used to be terrified of being adjusted and used to hem and haw about getting on the table which my mom made me anyways. I was never treated poorly for taking up time because I was scared. Now I cant jump on the table quick enough. There aren't enough kinder words to say about Dr Ken. He's the most gentle kind caring physician I've ever met and wish other doctors would take lessons from him on how to treat their patients. When Dr Steve came along I was so hesitant to let anyone else but Dr Ken touch me. Steve was very understanding and kind about the situation, and never made me feel stupid for my fears. Now I love to see them both, they each have their own adjusting techniques. Dr Steve even called me on a Saturday to see how I was feeling after a particularly horrible day. Mind you I NEVER make an appointment because my work schedule is crazy and always walk right in. Although I'd wait hours to see either Dr I never have to. I am fit in accordingly. The front staff is amazing and so kind, and helpful. I am treated like family there. I have never seen Dr Aaron however I hear many wonderful things about him. This is the place to go if you have a busy schedule since they have evening hours and are open 7 days a week. The dedication to their patients well being is genuine and I am so glad that my mother introduced me to chiropractic care although as a kid I never thought I'd need it fast forward to a spinal cord surgery and car accident, I will forever be grateful for how much they help me, I would not be able to work or have the quality of life that I do if it wasn't for these amazing doctors. read more

Went to see Dr. Ken on advise of my primary doctor for sciatic pain. I also needed someone with experience with spinal implants. Dr. Ken's personality is great and funny. His staff is wonderful and friendly. But if you are looking for someone who is gentle, Dr. Ken is not your guy. I didn't have a neck problem until he cracked, I mean, adjusted mine. Now my neck is worse than before I went to him. He also did not help me with my sciatic. My first appointment with him, he gave no physical exam, just asked questions. His adjustments were quick, hard and a surprise; no explanation of type of adjustments he would use. I've heard from others that he's helped them, but I guess I'm the exception. He made me worse. Thankfully, I found a wonderful chiropractor at Balanced Living who is GENTLE, and explains everything, no surprises or sudden cracking or pouncing, and best of all I got relief, but still having difficulty fixing the damage Dr. Ken did to my neck. My new chiropractor even sent me for x-rays on my neck which showed bone degeneration and arthritis. Thoroughly research before choosing a chiropractor. Your health depends on it. read more

My daughter has been going to see Ken since she was 17. She is now 27. My husband is also a patient about the same time. Although I find Ken to be an excellant Dr. and very personnable, the lack of loyalty to a patient that this office has, has left a very bad taste in my mouth and is the sole reason people should look elsewhere. Last week Friday, my daughter was injured at work,, while lifting a file cabinet, she went to the ER, and wanted to go directly to Munroes office. There were only 2 chiropractors on duty. She was told she could not see one because he was booked. My husband called and asked for her to be seen by Dr. Steve, and was told no, and was then dismissed with a "Sorry I can not help you" click! Dr. Steve was never asked to see Jackie, this was decided by Janelle, The Drs. daughter who Apparently runs the front desk. So we called a chiropractor who used to work at Munroe's and who now has his own office. He had seen Jackie previously in Munroes office but never in his own. Dr. Shannon Herr saw jackie immediately without question that day, within the hour. When my husband had his usual twice weekly visit he told Dr. Steve about this and he was unaware that this happened. He would have been more than glad to see jackie that day. Let me also say that this office allows walk-in visits any day of the week. So as long as you do what Janelle instructs you to do, without question, you can receive excellent care at this office, just don't expect any loyalty if you ever need something above an adjustment or an emergency visit. But Dr. Shannon Herr is a little more human, less assembly line kind of Dr. You choose, Jackie did and is quite happy! But I guess Dr. Munroe has enough patients, one or two doesn't matter to him. read more
