AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Scott Munsch is a con artist. He has damaged enough people to possibly warrant a class action lawsuit. As everyone else on this website has already stated, he takes your documents and then sits on them for months, ignoring all methods of contact. I sent him everything in February and he never completed them (today is November 11th). After contacting him weekly for nearly the entire year, I ended up taking my taxes to a different individual who did them much more throughly and in only 2 days. It took me 2 months of weekly contact to even receive proof my extension was filed. He always claims there is a family emergency, crashed software, or something else when he is likely just out hunting. He refuses to pay for the cost of the other tax preparer despite leading me on for months. Everyone else who has been impacted by this man, please file form 14157 with the IRS and file complaints with DSPS, BBB, AICPA, and NAEA. read more

I have used this service for several years and my Dad has used this service for 20 years and have been very happy...until this year (2023 tax year). Any other year I would have given him 5 stars...always quick with the paperwork and filing and for a great price! This year?? I have no idea what happened. Apparently he has not filed either mine or my parents taxes. They were both completed in Feb. ours were done and dated Feb. 14, 2024. We have not received our state return as of 4/27/2024. We owed and paid our federal taxes, but I'm sure neither agency has received our filing yet. Now they will be late. Obviously we are VERY dissatisfied with his service this year! Felt I had to give at least 2 stars because we were so happy with them all of the previous years we have taken our taxes there. read more

If I could put zero Stars I would. Only because of the many lies that he told us. Instead of just saying what happened he kept us hanging on for 6 months. I had to go to h&r block to actually have our taxes redone and filed. By the way they got us an extra $215 back that he missed. My husband and I took our taxes to H and R as of 4/19/23. They matched the amount I paid him. He gave us the run around since Feb. We took our taxes in on Feb 26th to Scott and he had us pay him soon after. He said they were electronically filed. Weeks went by and nothing updating on IRS website. This should have been the first ted flag. I called him on March 18th and asked about my taxes. I wanted to know why I am not seeing that the IRS recieved them. He was beyond rude. He told me that every call he gets make it longer before he can resubmit. He said his software had a "glitch" and he needs to resubmit 2500 tax returns. He never reached out and told us. Very unprofessional. We tried using Where is my refund and it said they had nothing on record. So on March 28th I called and he said ours were probably resubmitted especially if I called. He pulled the people who called out of rotation and did them before the others. Nothing adds up. I asked for a confirmation email. He said he has 2500 and has no way of finding each confirmation. H and R said this is a lie. They must put a confirmation number with each file. He knew they didn't submit (that is if he even tried submitting them the first or 2nd time). I called him AGAIN on April 15th. He said ALL of them were resubmitted successfully. He said we should be getting confirmation on Where is my refund soon. He said he checked some of the first ones and it was showing up. H and R said confirmation shows up almost immediately after electronically filing. He said he electronically filed. So therefore he would have had confirmation for all taxes (that is if he even filed). The IRS will say whether or not they were accepted. H and R said you can not submit taxes twice, only amend. They submitted my taxes today...and it showed they were never submitted by Scott. The IRS had no record of them being previously filed. I got a text from IRS within 10min of leaving H and R. I also was able to check Where is my refund and see it was submitted per H and R within 10min. I immediately went to his place since he wasn't returning my call. I demanded a refund. He said he is giving everyone a refund who ask for one. He said everyone's tax returns are just "sitting" in his software as of April 19th. So another words, NOT submitted to IRS. So PLEASE go somewhere else. H and R block is matching his fee. Also they told me they are able to come in and help anyone at anytime. Just give them a call. He said he going to IRS next week to talk to them about the software. H and R said IRS has NOTHING to do with any software. You go to the software vendor not IRS. Please beware. Absolute nightmare! I had an appointment on Feb 5th for my tax return to be completed and electronically filed. Now it's been two months and 10 days and I did not get my refund and the track your refund option on the IRS website states that the IRS has not even received my tax return. I have been a customer at Munsch Accounting for 25 years and I feel I have been treated with such disrespect and got nothing but a run around. We paid him for his service on Feb 5th and now it is the tax deadline and we have no confirmation that our taxes have been submitted. He claims he knows more than the IRS, but my tax return has not been submitted successfully according to the track your refund option on the IRS website. read more

Terrible service. Had the taxes since April 2023 and so have not received my tax paper to file my taxes. Can finally return a call back after I bring up reporting him to the better business bureau and swearing on the phone at me. Definitely would not recommend him for anything!!! read more

I brought him all my tax information for him to help file my taxes back in January. My taxes are simple and expected to be done quickly. It is now AFTER the deadline for filing and he still has NOT filed them! With these tough times I was relying on my return to help my financial situation and on top of which he has completely screwed me over with all of my stimulus money too! He is extremely unprofessional and unethical. I could have taken my business elsewhere. Every time I stopped in to check on my filing status he always had an excuse to why they were not done and at times had misplaced my information. I will NEVER go back there again and highly recommend to ALL others to find someone else to prepare their taxes. read more
