I walked into the office and explained that my ignition coil on cylinder 5 was bad and needed it replaced. They quoted me $860.00 and a possible 3 hour wait. I was baffled, i knew the part is only $120.00 and it was a 20min installation process, Max. Unable to afford this exorbitant price, i asked if i could purchase the part from them and install it myself, i had the necessary tools in my truck. They said they could order the part with $50.00 markup and have it in 20mins, but i wasn't allowed to install it while on thier property. I was furious, i left without another word. I managed to make it to an auto parts store down the road. Bought the part for $105.00, installed it in 15min. Made it back home safely. Saved $755.00. Go elsewhere if you don't want to get robbed.

Then, while I'm waiting, I mention that LAST TIME here, someone misaligned my tire sensors so that the front sensor was registering the back tire on one side, and the other side sensor was not working properly at all... they were all working when I went in, not when I left!! So... a little good news: my tires CAN BE repaired, instead of being replaced... saving me boodles of bucks. Honesty is refreshing!! But, the sensor issue is estimated to cost $300+/- ...... so, there's that. All in all: meh. I'll run these tires til they fall off and probably need a new car next time

I did not notice the damage when I picked up the car as it is located on the bottom of the unit next to the bumper underneath the tail light which extends over the damaged area. The car sat in my 3 car garage for 2 weeks until I took it out for a cruise and hand washed it when I got home. It was driven and returned to my garage with no stops. The dealership claims something must have fallen on it, banged into it or it was hit by something while it was parked in my garage. In my opinion, there is no way the area underneath the tail light could be broken without damaging the tail light itself. They "didn't do it" so the customer is a liar. I'm stuck with a damaged, expensive part. All warranty work, recalls and routine maintenance have been performed by this dealership as well as on our other Ford vehicles. No more. Find another Ford dealer or better yet, don't buy a Ford.

I was so sure that I would return to a huge bill but I was really impressed by there honesty and at that time I knew this was "my shop" for all my auto repairs. Subsequently, I hooked up my OBD2 Scanner (On-Board Diagnostic Scanner) and read the codes. Since my normal mechanic had a month long backlog I called these guys, then asked a few questions and then towed it over to Robert to dig further into the issue(s). Everyone I talked to was pleasant, knowledgeable and responsive. They were able to work me in the following work day and after determining what parts were needed, obtained them promptly (I.e. next morning) and had the job completed by late afternoon. In short, my car was in and out by the end of the third day. Kudos to these guys for a job well-done, timely and very much appreciated. This was the first time I have ever dealt with Hutson Automotive - and will do so should the need arise again.

I used Nextdoor to find a mechanic for our automotive repair needs since we are fairly new. One that caught my eye was Hutson Automotive in Fruitland Park. People mentioned since they were experienced racers AND the were the choice of lots of people with the $$$ to invest in vintage cars favored this place, decided to give it a try. THIS PLACE IS 1950'S, MAYBERRY RFD, HONEST, HARDWORKING, I WOULD NOT QUESTIONS A SINGLE CHARGE BECAUSE I KNOW IF THEY SAID IT WAS NEEDED IT IS BECAUSE IT WAS honest!!!!! I will tell you I witnessed them tell people "hey, it might be under warranty and if it is great, but if it is not, bring back the receipt and I will deduct it from your bill should you choose to have us repair it". I witnessed people walking in to buy a "part" from them they personally were going to install vs having it done. THESE PEOPLE ARE REAL, HONEST, GENUINE PEOPLE!!!! IF your car needs ANY kind of servicing, I STRONGLY recommend you give them a call for your needs. Their mechanics have been there 20+ years which tells you they treat both the customer AND employees fairly. I was also impressed with observing them fight on the phone to FIND parts that are needed but unobtainable currently because of supply chain issues on behalf of their customers!!! I'm here to tell you there is not a place I have ever taken a car to in my nearly 70 years on this earth that I have felt better about.
