I'd never been to this chain. They use a machine to pull the old oil out from above the engine!? It was amazing to watch as you just sit in your car for the change. They don't raise the car up. They walk down steps to go under the car to replace the filter. They tested my antifreeze. Checked my air filter - but no hard upsell. They checked my other fluids also. It was VERY interesting to watch Tristan and Seth work as a team. The friendly banter made it more interesting. I got to observe someone doing their complete job! I asked a few Q's and they obliged my curiosity. Fascinating experience. Loved it! AND they even give you a cold bottle of water AND wash your windshield REALLY well too! 17 stars! I will be back... I went there for the first time. We had bought this car from an owner and didn't know of the actual care of the car. There was a Take 5 sticker indicating that it was time to change the oil. The manufacturer's recommendation for this car is 10,000 miles, but I will change the oil around 6,000 miles to be safe. The workers were really good, but with one exception. Upon leaving, I noticed that the sticker showed a mileage of 3000 miles higher. Then I called to say I was disappointed with this low 3000 miles, to get me back much sooner. I feel that it is deceptive as I later called to state this with their corporate office. I was told from them, that the 3000 miles is to simply check and top off everything, not to be used as the date of changing oil. The guy there had already told me that I could come back anytime for a tip off. I thought they were very efficient and will be back, but I will change the sticker to 6000 miles. I was also asked which of 3 grades of oil that they would use, which is a way to get a more money as well. Again, a little sneaky to offer these options. I'm sure their cost for oil is very low as they buy large quantities. Buyer beware! read more

Waiting almost 30 minutes for them to start my oil change. Only one other car here....this is my first and only visit to this location. Service would have to improve to be poor. No effort made by staff to service more than one car at a time....at least 3 workers and all are working on the same car. read more

I had my Hyundai Santa Fe serviced by Take Five in Lady Lake. Upon pulling up a technician greeted my with a cold bottled water and gave me a wait time for service. When my time came both technicians worked together and performed a thorough inspection and oil change to include resetting the oil light. They did not try to upgrade my service performing only what my vehicle required. It has only 6,200 miles. So change of oil/filter and fluid top off was only required. The best surprise was at the end during payment. As a veteran I received a 25% discount. I recommend Take Five for non-warranty maintenance. They are exceptional. read more

Came on a Saturday morning, expecting a long wait because I know weekends are a popular time for an oil change. I'd also been to another location of this franchise and didn't have the best experience but I'm happy to say this location is great. Even with four cars in front of me, I was in and out in under an hour. Was helped by Dylan and John. Both were courteous, efficient, and professional. Dylan made me aware of potential additional services my car would benefit from, but was not pushy about me having anything done that I didn't want to do that day. He was upfront about pricing as well, which was a refreshing change at a mechanic. As a bonus, Take 5 will top off fluids and check your air pressure between services, which I was not aware of before! Overall, I'd definitely recommend coming here if you need an oil change or other quick maintenance services. read more

This company stripped my drain plug and I caught it 30 days later and they told me tough luck. I asked for a manager they called a manager and he told me that he had to deal with work related stuff and cannot talk to me, even though he's already on the phone. they told me to talk to corporate and laughed. This company hires newer mechanics with no experience, and advertise cheap oil changes. The dealership quoted me 3000 dollars because they had stripped the actual drain pan. read more

Went in for the first time for a routine oil change. Waited in line for close to 2 hours before getting serviced. When trying to get the filter off they damaged my fairly new vehicle to the point it had to be towed to the dealership for repairs. After paying $350 to fix the damage, I brought in bills to get some kind of reimbursement and was ignored. I wrote to the company through their website (where they guaranty a rapid response) and still have not heard a word. I would agree that it's a bunch of kids trying to run a business. read more

When I arrived I felt that this would go well but no, I was wrong. The employees there were great and courteous. It was the manager that makes me never want to return. I felt he was abrubt and somewhat pushy to me and employees. I requested the brand oil I got at other Take 5 locations and he tried to convince me that the off brand cheaper quality oil was up the standards. That's not the point, I wanted my brand oil that I have used on my car for years. And when I questioned him on the makeup of the oil he did not have a clue. He also badmouthed the corporate Tak 5 location I normally go to. This locations failure is going to happen. read more

I've changed my own oil for over 40 years. I know how much oil my vehicle takes. When I retired, I decided to have my oil changed at a shop. I brought my van to Take 5 Oil Change in Lady Lake. I was told I needed to pay an extra $10 for an extra quart. They refused to only put in 5 quarts. I said I wanted to see how much they put in and the manager agreed. they did the oil change and did not prove to me how much was added. They would only show me the dip stick. The level was above the "safe" zone, but his thumb hide how high the oil went. When I got home I checked it myself and read oil a quarter inch above the "safe" zone. I will NEVER use Take 5 Oil Change again. This is a class action lawsuit waiting to happen for damaged engines. read more
