It's right off the expressway, so it's easy to access and if you missed it are you sure you were driving with your eyes open? Aside from what I'm going to call a "necessary stop", the store is usually pretty well stocked and organized. I'm always game for a snack and something to drink and they've always had just the right snack or beverage that I needed. The store is usually kept clean and tidy. On occasion I'll arrive when they've just got a delivery so it may be necessary to walk around a few boxes, but as long as they're stocking the shelves I honestly don't mind. The prices are very competitive for being expressway-adjacent. Usually you find that such convenient locations have convenient pricing, but I don't find their prices to be particularly outrageous. As far as the gas prices go, it's the same thing. They're not charging you extra because of location. During almost all of my visits the manager (Nicki?) is there and greets me with a pleasant "Hello!" and we chat a little bit as I check out. I always look forward to this stop because it's a no-pressure situation. On occasion I'll wonder where something is and she's quick to point me in the right direction. With today's fuel prices, filling up here can actually put enough money back in your pocket to help pay for the food you're inevitably going to buy once you walk inside. Now let's talk about the real reason you end up spending 45 minutes inside: THE FOOD. The chopped brisket sandwich was really good. It was tender, flavorful and definitely something I'd order again. We've also tried the pulled pork and the club melt, and both were excellent. The food is a little on the pricey side, but so far the quality has made it worth it. And if you're a beef jerky person, prepare yourself. They basically have a wall of jerky. You don't just pick up beef jerky at Buc-ee's, you stand there studying your options like you're making an important financial decision. Their Jerky Bar is actually one of the foods Buc-ee's says is available 24 hours a day, along with fresh hot food and their homemade fudge. What I never leave without is the Praline candy And then there are the bathrooms. I'm convinced Buc-ee's may have the cleanest public bathrooms on planet Earth. If you've ever been on a long road trip, you understand just how important this information is! So here's my Buc-ee's advice for first-timers: don't go in thinking you're just stopping for gas. You'll pump your gas, use the cleanest bathroom you've seen on the interstate, grab a brisket sandwich, inspect 47 varieties of jerky, wander through half the store looking at things you didn't know you needed...and somehow come back outside with a bag full of stuff. Is it a little pricey inside? Yep. Is it worth stopping? Absolutely. Cheap gas, great food, ridiculously clean bathrooms and enough stuff inside to turn a 10-minute fuel stop into a family field trip. The beaver knows what he's doing.

One thing about the Nashville area is that the gas station game is not strong at all...so any chance I get to pop into a RaceTrac or QT around town, I take it! For reference, RaceTrac's are massive back in Atlanta...and I miss them so much! Now that I got my fan-girl moment out the way, I popped into this RaceTrac to top off the ole tank and grab a snack/drink. I love the RaceTrac coffee machine's, so naturally I scooped up an Iced Coffee for a short drive home to East Nashville. The store was clean, well stocked and in decent condition for a gas station. While I do not end up in Hendersonville often, I now have an extra reason to go that way on occasion!
