I go there for their raisin walnut and cranberry walnut bread. It is absolutely delicious.

This Murphy's location is the larger sibling to the one in the Pines, and it definitely feels that way the moment you walk in. The store itself is bigger, more spacious, and especially noticeable in the produce section, which is significantly larger here. Just like the smaller location, the produce is extremely fresh, high quality, and largely local -- one of Murphy's strongest overall selling points. There's no liquor store at this location, but honestly, with the expanded grocery layout and produce selection, it still feels like a great all-around market. The bakery here is just as good as the other location -- truly excellent -- although we obviously don't split our cake orders between the two. Once you find a bakery you trust, you stick with it! Like the smaller store, this location also participates in community events, including the Easter egg hunt, which is always a big hit with families and kids. It's nice to see consistency across locations and that same neighborhood-focused feel, even in a larger space. Pricing follows the same theme -- on the higher side overall -- but again, when sales hit, they're very well priced and absolutely worth taking advantage of. All in all, this is a great Murphy's location if you want more space, a larger produce selection, and the same quality and care the brand is known for. I would stay away from here. poor quality customer service. they sell slimey deli cuts and old meat but take an arm and a leg from you. terrible simply terrible. they must be democrats with the way they dont care about the people that walk in. no one even smiles. read more

Prices are exceptionally high. Produce is beautiful however. Meats look good but again pricey. Tried some of the baked goods. Not so great.

Their produce is CONSISTENTLY terrible. Their avocados are never ripe. Tomatoes are terrible. Strawberries have mold. It's such a shame because the Murphy's in Tabernacle is great but this one is just horrible. The people who work there are ok- either old and slow or young and inexperienced. Which is fine. It's clean/ish. Honestly the produce is just absolutely terrible. I cannot stress it enough. Go somewhere else. read more

When in a pinch and not in the mood or don't have the time to run to ShopRite, Murphy's Fresh Markets in Medford delivers. Although at times their prices are higher, there are products that Murphy's carries that I cannot find at the local Medford ShopRite. I always like to support local stores or smaller local chains and find I am there more often than not. The only negative is I wish they would keep their herbs stocked more. I cannot rely on Murphys for herbs and fresh herbs to purchase and am stuck with going to ShopRite for my fresh herbs. Otherwise, I am happy that Murphys is located between Medford Lakes and Medford as I am always stopping there 2-3 times per week. read more

I came in once late at night and the managers were rolling marijuana in the back. also all the deli food that they package in house is frozen in a freezer for months at a time. Murphy's prepared "smoked" items need help. Bought the Murphys cooked smoked ribs on one visit- they were horrible. Recently bought Murphys smoked baked beans. From the taste, appearance and smell ---it seems like they opened a can of prepared baked beans and added artificial smoke flavoring and sugar. They were vile. And 24 hours later-I still cannot get the "smoke" smell out of my microwave. Discontinue these items or vastly improve them. read more

Murphy's is a really nice neighborhood grocery store and a nice option if you don't want to shop at ShopRite or Acme. It's a smaller store, so sometimes the selection can be a bit limited, or more obscure items can be harder to find. But small is sometimes good -- there's less ground to cover and the store will definitely cover your basics or "I forgot one or two things" type of needs. On my last visit, I discovered that they actually have a really nice fresh-made selection of bagels, which was a pleasant surprise indeed. Bonus points for being open on holidays and times when other stores are closed. The parking lot is big with easy access, and if you live in Medford or Medford Lakes, it's pretty convenient. read more

Very clean store, fresh organic, locally grown and unbelievably inexpensive! Fresh made seafood salads, and dips that you can sample before buying. The staff are genuinely nice as well. read more

I remember when this particular Murphy's back in the day was called Thriftway. I find the Murphy's to be much more better than the one in Tabernacle. This one of course is more congested as well as it doesn't sell alcohol. People are more helpful, friendlier and professional. If you can't find something. They'll go out of their way to help you find it. read more

Great selection of grocery items. Clean and well designed. I have had a few experiences with produce that I discovered had mold after I got home. But the customer service desk was very cooperative regarding returning or exchanging the items the following day. read more

The setup is nice and is generally appealing to the eye. There are some items that are more reasonably priced than competitors in the area, but others that are not so reasonably priced. My family has shopped here half a dozen times since moving to the area, and every time the checkout person comes across as miserable or "why are you coming in my line". That doesn't exactly make me want to spend money there. read more

Murphy's used to be a reasonably priced , local , well stocked store that now has substandard products and rotting produce . It appears they are moving towards more take out, less employees , less variety and lower quality. We loved the market for many years but of late it is impossible to even buy food for an adequate meal. Murphy's could be a lucrative, luscious local organic , full service grocery but instead has opted for less quality. We also love the relationships we have had with the employees and won't use the self check out ever. I miss my market of 40 years , sadly. read more

Staff is great, and it's super convenient having a grocery store so close to home (Medford Lakes). My only gripe are the prices - they seem extremely high for everything (almost 2x the price of Shop Rite). That's the only reason why we don't consistently shop here. read more

i stopped shopping at murphys market months ago due to constant overcharging.. but, this morn i only needed a couple things so i stopped by murphys as i was in their neighborhood, NOTHING HAS CHANGED, only bough 5 idems and was overcharged $1.31 ..i cant believe that so many overcharges are a mistake; one or two times is a mistake,.. NOT a mistake if overcharged on EVERY trip...i believe that are stealing from their customers and should be fined or closed down...shoppers beware !! always check at register to see if you paid correct price, many people dont check....will never shop there again, its back to acme, at least there if they overcharge you for an idem, YOU GET IT FOR FREE !!!
