Rastelli's is a high-end grocery store, that also sells alcohol. It's pricier than Whole Foods, but has a wider and better variety of specialty food and items. Rastelli's has many food stations throughout the store where they make fresh burgers, pizza, sushi, tacos, quesadillas and much more all made to order. This review and 5-star rating, however, is solely based on their breakfast service. The store itself I'd give 3.5 stars since it's very expensive. They have hands-down the single best breakfast in south jersey. Their breakfast chef Stephanie makes the best eggs, omelettes, and breakfast sandwiches you will ever have, really--she is amazing! Plenty of parking outside and the interior is always clean. Went on a Tuesday for their taco Tuesday special. I ordered a burrito bowl with chicken and different toppings, and my boyfriend ordered a quesadilla. From the time we ordered, my burrito bowl came out within 15 minutes. Not a big problem, but his quesadilla took an additional 25 minutes to be made. Many orders came out before they finished ours, so once he finally got his lunch, mine was cold. They also forgot the avocado, which I paid extra for. The chicken was not very flavorful. Overall, I'd try a different item on the menu and account for the time it took for the order to come out. read more

We go to Rastelli frequently and really love it here! It's so much nicer and much less crowded than ShopRite, Whole Foods, and Trader Joe's. The parking lot has an ample amount of spaces available which is convenient also! We always buy our steak, deli meats, breads, and desserts here. They have high quality steaks for great prices and their bread is extremely fresh! The employees are also very nice and helpful. We will continue coming back for our specialty items! read more

The decor in this store is wonderful. It has that ambient lighting and layout that feels both cozy and calming. Sort of reminds me of a mix between Whole Foods and a small-town grocery store in many ways. However, the pricing is out of control. Highest prices of any food market in this area (besides Acme). Ever since I moved back to the Cherry Hill area, people have talked about Rastelli's like it's some sort of Italian market haven. I finally made a pit stop here, and I was surprised. It's very, very similar to Wegmans - a tad smaller and with less options for some products. I thought they'd have a lot more of their own brands, but where they really shone were the fresh food items that they apparently say is made in house. I picked up some of the chunky chicken salad, went home, boiled up some elbow macaroni and mixed them up. It really tasted home-made. Rastelli's to me is "Whole Foods meets Trader Joes", but you can still get your "normal" paper products and what-not. How great is it that I can get my regular old tree-killing Bounty paper towels here! Sexyman and I ventured in yesterday to find something to make for dinner. We spent the first 15 minutes walking around and taking everything in, while "oohing and ahhhing" as if we were in a Jaguar showroom. This place has EVERYTHING. Fresh baked breads, a slew of to-go options (Asian, pizza, salads, fancy deli items), lots of fresh seafood and meat options, in addition to specialty cheeses, and some of the best looking produce I've seen in a very long time. Their watermelon was ripe as hell...amazing for November, right? And they also have a very comprehensive liquor section. Everything from beer to wine to hard liquor. And the entire store was super organized. Anyone as OCD as I am would love this place purely from an esthetics standpoint. The prices are slightly higher, but if the quality is there then I feel that the extra dollar or two is worth it. If you want to save $ then head to ShopRite, but understand that you won't have a fraction of the options that they have at Rastelli. You're not visiting for a bargain per say - you're visiting for good quality and for excellent variety. The employees were very eager to assist, answer questions, and offer suggestions. This is for Rastelli's online ordering service. I have been ordering my meats from them for about 3 years now. I love the crab cakes and salmon and their Filet mignon, among other things. I would always order enough for about a month. Now all of a sudden I can't do that anymore. Apparently they have become a subscription food service now. Well....I think it sucks! I'm not able to order the quantities I want. They have lost a customer. I'm sure they don't care, but I can't be the only one that is disappointed at this change! read more

Checked out Rastelli for lunch this week. They did a nice job with the market and its more wide open then Whole Foods in Marlton. Rastelli had a good choice of food for lunch. They don't have the food and salad bars by the pound like Whole Foods but that suits me fine as I find that very expensive (see my review of WF). They do have a soup station and it is $1.00 cheaper then Whole Foods. The pizza is better as Rastelli also and the have a wider choice. I had a slice of Fig and Blue Cheese. It was very good. The sandwich station is pretty close to the competition. Rastelli also has at Taco section and a Sushi section. Rastelli does not have a huge drink/water/soda/tea selection but I am not sure I need to be perplexed by every organic or natural drink in the universe. What I liked about Rastelli is the dining area had a good amount of seats, both inside and outside. There was a coffee shop too with club chairs. It is a clean space and I found the employees friendly. Whole Foods employees are great though, I'll give them that much. I do think Rastelli is a good alternative and slightly cheaper then Whole Foods for lunch. 3.5 stars. read more

I feel so lucky to live near a Rastelli Market. Everyday during the week, there is a 50% off deal in their takeout "market". On Monday it is chopped salad. For less than $6.00, I have had the largest most delicious salad I ever ate. Tonight on Tuesday is Mexican. For $5:50., I had the best chicken taco. It was large and came with homemade chips. Wed. Is amazing -stir fries and Pad Thai dishes for $6.00. Thursday is the 1/2 off. grill featuring burgers and chicken sandwiches. On Friday is pizza for 50% off. I haven't tried that yet. Not impressed with the food quality as I have shopped here before. The store is wonderful but I find prep foods to be lacking freshness and quality. read more

I haven't been able to visit this location, but my friends have brought me cake, cheesecake and chocolate covered strawberries multiple times and I'm in LOVE. First time in here...I could spend an entire day here. I love food shopping and this place is cream of the crop! I was here during their seafood festival and they had samples of different types of seafood throughout the store. We grabbed some mussels, clams, smoked salmon, and cod fillets. I also picked up some fresh cut steaks and a few other things. Their selection throughout the store is amazing. They also sell beer, wine, and alcohol. Fresh brewed coffees and teas, salad bar style prepared foods, fresh baked pizza (chicken parm is awesome!). Definitely will be back in to shop very soon. read more

This isn't an every week kind of place. I feel when you need a nice cut of meat, or a fancy fun cheese or a beautiful cake, this is where you should come. During the holidays it's crowded inside as well as the parking lot, but plenty of friendly staff on hand inside to help you find what you're looking for. For my housewarming party I had ordered from catering a dessert platter that was not only gorgeous but insanely delicious. The lamb we got for Christmas dinner was perfect. We've been going to Ratelli's for a few years now for meats. Previously, the cuts were great and prices phenomenal. We went there today to pick up some filets and I'm terribly disappointed! Other reviewers have pointed out aptly that this store is similar to a cross of Wegs and Whole Foods. With perhaps a little TJ's thrown in. I agree with that statement, minus the TJ's reference. After one afternoon visit here, I see much to be a fan of. Prepared and fresh foods rule here, so these were my main focus on this visit. The shopper has multiple choices for ready made items, with sandwiches, sushi, pizza or calzones, customizable wok meals and a case that contained mostly Italian side dishes and entrees. I am probably leaving other choices out. The last case is something that can be found in most stores these days, but this one stood apart. First of all everything looked very fresh, and second was that some of these items were almost good restaurant worthy in their appearance. Take for example the pork Osso Bucco which stood 6 inches tall atop a mound of polenta($13) From this array I bought some meatballs to go with a pasta dish I was cooking that night. The sauce was very good, but the balls were just ok. But I would like to try that pork next time. Looking at the seafood section next, my first impression was that their halibut was priced several dollars cheaper than the competition. There were less choices than some stores, but all were better types of fish, they looked fresh and there was no fishy odor emanating from the area. The meat counter had a lot of choices, though I wasn't able to compare costs to other stores, but the offerings looked very good. At both of these, and for that matter every section we stopped at, we had employees friendly ask us if they could do anything. Many of the counters had samples set up( thank you bakery) and you can ask for samples at the deli too. We loved the deli, and chose a few items from there to take home. Mine was a great chicken cranberry and walnut salad, not an expert on this dish but one of the best I've had in recent memory. I will most likely get that again. The produce department always holds a special interest for me. Theirs was a small but nicely kept one. Veggies and greens looked very nice. The fruit selection was ok, the apples were available in some unique varieties, but the citrus was kind of standard. Prices here were on par with WF. One stop shopping enthusiasts will love that there are various forms of liquor here, with wines leading the pack. Many lower priced options, including bottles from local wineries that are priced below the winery costs. An ample supply of quality craft brew is also here, not a selection to compete with large beverage stores, but whoever curates this one knows what to stock. Lastly a mention of the rest of the store is in order. A quick tour through these aisles revealed a competitive streak. Many national brand names are here, and there are sales on some of them( Oreos at 2 for $5) This is the smallest part of the store so you won't find every brand, but enough of a choice to avoid going elsewhere if that is your goal. To sum up, a great store for those coming in for a pre made meal, during or after work. Or for someone cooking a meal where they want to start with high quality ingredients. The latter is how I will probably approach this store. While it's true that some items are a bit pricey, I noticed several things that were lower here than other stores I shop at( Shoprite included) We will definitely return, and I look forward to trying more things here. read more

I am very happy to see a place like this in Marlton. It is a combination of a mini Whole Foods and Wegmans in one. It is not large like either store, but it produces the atmosphere and products of both. Yes, the prices may be higher but I do feel you are paying for good quality seafood, meat, and cheese. There are things here that no other store in the area have that I have been searching for such as langostinos, escargot by the shell/piece, staff that really know their products that can offer you base on your likes and dislikes, rare deli meats (delicacy ones) that I can't find anywhere in the area, etc. Michael in the cheese department is awsome. He knows every cheese on the shelf - animal milk used, country, the flavor, and which cheeses to pair together for your cheese and wine night. read more

Yes, this is as good as it gets! We are so fortunate to have a gourmet butcher in this area again. I believe it is truly better than Wegmans or any other place for me especially. They carry grass fed beef and other meats which are absolutely delicious! ShopRite does not hold a candle to this and I know the popularity of ShopRite. I generally shop at two places. I get my food delivered from Fresh Direct which is based out of New York and recently opened a Philadelphia area delivery service and Rastelli s. Quality and fresh food is the top priority. The deli area is exceptional they have fantastic fresh made foods. My particular favorite is chicken livers. They have the best I have had anywhere and that includes many of the local deli's that are Jewish. I am once again able to purchase my beloved Limburger cheese I also purchased Roquefort when I was in there the other day. The cheeses are exceptional and fresh. The artisan breads are fabulous as well as the selection of unusual crackers for ones cheese. The food is made to order there.for take out or eat in. This store is 35,000 square-foot. Sells premium quality meats, has a deli, a produce section where a vegetable butcher will even chop up your fruit or veggies for you if you want, Mexican food fare, a hot wok section, fresh sushi and raw bar, fresh seafood, homemade pasta and sauce, a pastry section, coffee and juice bar and a wine and cheese section. Such a disappointment. We loved the salmon and ahi and thought we had found our new go to service for monthly meat and fish delivery. Had recommended to a couple of friends and had a gift package of fish sent to my parents. When the package arrived it was room temperature despite being picked up off front porch immediately after delivery. After multiple attempts to remediate by email, online help, voicemail we received no follow up and no refund. So much for their guarantee? They've lost me as a customer and would encourage caveat emptor for everyone else... They will not refund even when failing to deliver fresh. Very unhappy about having to throw more than $100 of rotting fish down the garbage disposal. read more

It was out lucky day. Rastelli is a fantastic boutique market with out of this world customer service. We opted for several prepared appetizers, homemade salsa, guacamole and Buffalo chicken dip. I chose several new beer varieties and my wife two bottles of wine. One red one white. At every stop the employees offered to help. They were friendly and knowledgeable, not overbearing. On the way home the next day we stopped again to buy steaks $7 strip steaks and $8 filet mignons. They were fantastic. They are the perfect size and flavorful. After narrowing it down to a hot wok bowl I asked one of the workers for a sample of the sauce that I was going to put into my bowl.... David came over to help me and not only did he give me the 2 samples that I asked for but he also recommended a 3rd which I ended up going with! He then proceeded to help me place my order on the computer and give me some other choices that were not on the computer. David is a Testament to what good customer service is and should be. I was hard pressed to find somewhere to eat lunch after leaving Virtua, and we found Rastelli by default. I may literally have had my foodie mouth opened when I went in and saw all the beautiful and colorful HUMONGOUS selection of foods. The super friendly lady manning the front table helped my lost butt out. The kids and I sized up what we wanted (I almost wet myself at the dessert area w/ the extensive and gorgeous desserts and chocolates!) and my son and I decided on pizza & dark chocolate non-pariels, my daughter, soup and bagel with cream cheese & a 'birthday cake' cupcake. Okay, everything was delicious and wonderful but there is a huge B U T . . . as our pizza was being warmed in the over, my daughter says "mom, there's a hair on that slice of pizza (pointing to a slice of margharita - on a ricotta blob - we didn't select) - low and behold, there was a hair (ummmm, looked like a certain type of hair starting with a p . . . ) and I told the girl behind the counter. She thanked me for telling her, made a face, removed the hair (gasp!!!) then threw out the slice. I could have made noise but chose not to.
