We go to Trilith a few times a year, usually to eat at one of the restaurants in the area. Me and…read moremy husband went to an event at the hotel last weekends and decided to walk around the area a bit before heading out. There are cute shops, lots of options for sweet treats (bakery, gelato, specialty coffee and tea, etc.) as well as lots of options for light bites, heavy meals, group activities or fun drinks. We patronized a few businesses as we walked, but I also enjoyed these leaf dress displays on the corners (see pics). It reminded me of the art displays large cities often have were there'll be a painted animal (cow, fish, horse, etc.) on various corners. Trilith is a good location if you're looking to burn some time and take in a meal while doing it. I've never been to any of the special events in the area, but have heard good things.

I first called ahead to make the appointment and immediately had a great first impression by the customer service. I have absolutely no knowledge of how photography works and Mr. Acosta was very patient with clearly explaining all the different options and the price breakdowns. He also showed me examples of different shoots, portraits, and events he had done in the past and I was convinced that the quality of his work would be superb. The shoot went smoothly and Mr. Acosta was very professional and genuine. After the shoot was complete, I was immediately able to browse through all the photo choices online and choose the headshots that I liked best... I hate to admit it, but I'm really not the most photogenic person, but damn I looked GREAT in those photos! haha. Not only did I look good in them, but I felt the photos stood out because they had a slight artistic influence in them, which was conveyed through the lighting, framing, and focus. While speaking to Mr. Acosta, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that Mr. Acosta's expertise ranges in a variety of photographic niches, including party, wedding, engagement, campaign, documentary, fashion, and many more types of photography. We've visited Tyler Perry Studios several times for Family Feud, Wild 'N Out, and the filming of…read morethe movie Straw, and each experience has been amazing! The staff is incredible....so nice, organized, and accommodating every single time. Everything at the studio is spotless. The bathrooms are always clean and smell great, which is such a nice touch. The transportation vehicles are very comfortable with working air and heat, making getting around the huge studio a breeze. Every visit, I notice new buildings and areas I hadn't seen before....it really shows how massive and impressive the studio is. Tyler Perry Studios is definitely a must-see for anyone visiting Atlanta or interested in film and television production.

We drove up and a giant security guard came out of his vehicle to let us know that no pictures are allowed on weekdays and that there are no public tours offered. Good to know for anyone planning a visit. Even though access is limited, it was still interesting to see the studio grounds from the outside.

Our production didn't have some gear, and he graciously grabbed what we needed from his grip truck. He even sat in for lighting without being asked as he saw we were understaffed. Outstanding customer service: A client of mine shot a remote segment for CNBC and I contacted the…read moreproduction manager, Allyn James, and the live shot coordinator, John Edenfield, to see if they could use a specific backdrop my client wanted. Usually, studios just let me know they'll try but can't guarantee and I cross my fingers. However, not only were Allyn and John incredibly solicitous but John even emailed me a photo during the segment of my client with his backdrop! I'm not based in Atlanta but if I were I'd be bringing them my business.
