I took my dog in for a consultation for dental cleaning they did the exam & took blood to check for any issues . I was given an estimate. Dr Howard did her exam he is very gentle & kind . My dog wasn't even nervous. I called a few days later to schedule her procedure . I asked if there was anything special I would have to do the night before they said just not to feed her after midnight but someone would be calling me to go over what to do the night/day before her visit . I never got a call from the office . So I just googled when to stop feeding her & put all her water up . When I checked in the next day I found out she could have had water . I asked why they didn't call me for instructions they said the girl that does the calling out phone was broken . They did a great job with her dental cleaning . She had to have several teeth pulled . They were so nice. They sent home some pain pills . She is doing great & I am so happy to have her infected teeth out of her mouth . I would recommend this vet for dental procedures. read more

Verbatim the manager of this clinic said if you choose to not get the dental work done you are subject to your dog developing issue that could cause your dog to die. Mind you I just had my dog in the year prior for surgery where his dental work was placed at a 2 at my last clinic meaning not an issue at all. I wanted to switch clinics because it's close to my home. Big mistake. I went in being told my exam would cost $63 dollars and left paying $459 because they sent in blood work that I told them my last clinic did last year but sent it anyways. When I called and said were my records transferred they then got the manager to call me. I told her I came for a lump on his leg to being quoted $700 for which is perfectly fine but the possibility of $800 of dental work that would happen during surgery. I never came to that clinic worried about my dogs dental I came for his lump to eventually being put in a conversation where my dog could die if I don't take care of it. I was in shock and asked her to stop talking and she didn't. I came to tears because even hearing that word in the same sentence of my dog was rude. I caution anyone to go here. That was my one and only visit and I hope no one ever has to go through that like I did that was awful. Scaring anyone into treatment is wrong and should never be utilized to sell anything. My cat had some concerning behavior and I knew she was overdue for a dental. This was our new vet we had been to twice before and I had never previously had an issue with them. I called and they were able to get me on the schedule for the next day. Unfortunately, I'm unsure they should have scheduled me as they were extremely busy. When I came to pick her up, much later than anticipated, the receptionist told me it would be $1700 when my estimate read $1300. The receptionist did their best to help me understand what they could and were plenty kind thankfully. I unfortunately did not read/was not verbally informed of the fine print that says full payment is required at the time of the procedure until after I had dropped my baby off. I signed up for a third party payment option they have in an emotional, rushed state to try to get my cat home but it still wasn't enough to cover the bill. They let me take my baby home anyway as the manager was gone for the day, but didn't tell me how many teeth were extracted or what work was actually done--only aftercare instructions and a giant invoice. I had to ask FOUR times to get a breakdown of what the "Feline Dental Package" the next day. I finally got the breakdown and it turns out the receptionist told me incorrectly, and that the total was not $1700 but around $1300 after all. Still, I had a remaining $370 balance after paying 400 out of pocket day of and using the third party system for another chunk of the payment, and this morning they texted me (not even a phone call) informing me that if I didn't pay the full price today by 6PM it would be sent to collections. I simply find sending a bill to collections after only 24 hours to be insane and predatory as a vet practice. I gave them an exact date (only a month away) that I could pay them by, but all of their replies were cold and not understanding. I was never referred to by my own name while interacting with any of the staff, despite them being kind in passing. Overall, I'm upset to see a vet clinic schedule me in one day and expect me to cough up $1300, hold my cat for 12 hours (not sure if this is standard in the industry though) and then send a bill for $374 to collections after ONE DAY! This was our third visit but I still didn't feel like I had personal rapport with anyone there. The impression I got of this business was that they only want "high end" customers who can afford to pay them outright for their "high end everything in house" vibe and they won't be flexible when working with those of us who are young, first time pet owners who may be struggling financially. They only tried to call me after I pointed out that it is not a good look to text me three sentences about your "policy on no payment plans" instead of informing of said policy beforehand. Zero stars. Absolutely frustrated with the over charging that veterinarians are doing. I just paid 1845.00 for 2 dogs to have teeth cleaned. Ridiculous !! Also had 2 growths removes from one dog. We charged for the bandage. So that's how they continue to get money from you. They neutering our rescue puppy and were great. When we took the cone off to clean and put back on too tight - our puppy's neck started to bleed. We called them, and they told us to bring him in as soon as possible. We did and they shaved his neck and gave us a antibiotic. They had us to a follow-up 5 days later. So nice - very thorough. I was very pleased. My sister has horror stories about some of the vets in Draper. Who are not as good as Murray Animal Hospital. read more

It gets worse...after I paid the amount I'd originally agreed to, they actually put me in collections for the amount charged because of the increased prices! Let me assure you that the 4.5 star rating was not earned by Murray Animal clinic this is Healing Hearts rating. I was out of town but I didn't want my pup to miss his apt. My son in law took him in at 830 am I was not told that this was no longer Healing Hearts animal clinic. When my son in law got there they called me and the tech told me that for 150 for blood test and 40 for the visit they could give me a pretty good idea what was going on. I agreed to the 190. When I got there at 4pm my dog had been there all day. And the cost was a little short of 280. I told them that I talk to the tech and she quoted me 150 for the blood test and 40 for the visit and I was only prepared to pay that amount. They told me that was before the doctor decided to send the tests out and that they also was doing a stool test. Had they told me it would be BETWEEN 150 and 200 For the test I might have done it. The doctor came to talk to me he wanted to tell me how my conversation with the tech went. I explained to him that is not how the conversation went and that I was willing to pay the 200. Taylor the doctor told me that's not how it works and I could just pay for the visit and leave. So my dog that is deaf was in a cage all day and not given water all day for Nothing. I paid the 40 and that will be the last they will ever get from me. I have paid a lot of money to healing hearts and would have paid thousands over the course of the life span of my pup, so would have my friends and family that love there fur babies as much as myself. For 80 bucks to make it right with me, they lost thousands. As I was walking out the door a lady said, "oh, you are having issues with the new ownership to?" I have found others that feel the same why. So if you want to be mislead in price, be talked down to this is the plans for you. I went in to simply get prescription cat food, I needed 2 bags. I was told at first it was $87 for 2 bags which I knew wasn't correct so questioned the price. They took forever to figure out the correct price. I was then told the food went up in cost "a little". I used to get an 8.8 lb bag of cat food for $68 dollars, it's now $81 so with tax 2 bags would've been $170. I told the nasty broads at the front desk that I only wanted 1 bag because I felt that this wasn't a "little" price increase. I was told I could order the food on chewy.com. I told the front desk broad that I've already researched that and I can't order it on chewy.com and that I had been through this multiple times and was done talking about it. She proceeded to tell that I was giving the other girl ringing me up " attitude", I explained that I was allowed to question the price. She proceeded to tell me that this was the last conversation she would have with me about this, I agreed. I told the other to please finish the transaction and was told by nasty broad that there was a note in my file that I was rude when I came in over 3 years ago for an appointment with my cat, they refused to treat because they were trying to force a rabies vaccine down my throat because I couldn't produce vaccination records for my cat on the spot among other issues with this shit veterinarian practice. I left without signing for my care credit purchase and slammed the door on my way out. I will NEVER BE BACK, they don't deserve my money. I had a great experience here. The vet Taylor Howard, DVM provided my furboys with a lot of love and attention. It felt so genuine and real. I can tell Taylor is great person and really tries to connect with patients and even me as person. He was patient and took his time explaining the best food, ideal weight, caloric intake. The value I was provided was well worth the $40 cost for a check up. I'd highly recommend this place to anyone who wants their pets dealt with the utmost care and careful examination. I took my boy in cause he wasn't feeling well. They did X-rays and said he has high liver problems with high white blood cells. They gave him an antibiotic shot and sent him on his way. 4 days later. He still isn't eating. I called. Waited on hold for 20 mins. I decided to drive in and I'm still on hold. I walk in. Mind you I am still on hold. The front desks people are talking to each other and laugh and showing each other their phones. I tell them what's going on. They said you'll need to schedule an appt and we don't have anything for a couple of days. I'm frustrated. I take him to a insta care. They said he needs to be hospitalized. I take him to the ER. They want to keep him over night and said he's not ok. They put him on IVs and they tell me the whole list of what's wrong with him. Murray animal hospital did not tell me anything but his liver was bad. Now my dog is in animal ICU. I'm out almost 800 from Murray cause they didn't care enough to tell me he needs more care and they didn't care he wasn't eating. Shame on them for doing the minimal actions. read more

Don't go here. I dropped off my dog and gave specific instructions to NOT do ANY procedures until speaking with me first because I live on a very fixed income. They did x-rays without talking to me then wanted me to pay for the whole bill that I hadn't agreed to. When I asked to speak with someone the Vet acknowledged that it was their screwup but wanted me to pay anyway arguing that the procedure was needed either way. We brought our 1 year old cat, Bernardo, to Healing Hearts when he was in very bad shape from a bad infection and what was presumably cysts that had ruptured. Prior to this we had taken him to Banfield Pet Hospital inside of PetSmart in Salt Lake City. They charged us over $300 and couldn't figure out what was wrong with him or how to treat him. They were pressuring us to spend more money to do more tests with very little hope of determining the problem. They seemed to be primarily concerned with money and seemed to lack deductive reasoning skills. When we found the ruptured open sores, we couldn't even consider going back to Banfield, so we looked in the Yellow Pages. My wife found Healing Hearts ad and made the appointment. Right from the start our experience was 180 degrees apart from our experience at Banfield. They were all very interested and attentive, warm and caring, and that was just at the front counter, moments after coming through the door. Immediately the tech, Devon, examined him and gave us a preliminary assessment. They started caring for Bernardo immediately. The whole time he was in their care, they went above and beyond with their care for him and their kindness and thoroughness with us. It was very affordable as well. Most importantly, Bernardo has recovered fully and is back to his wonderful healthy self. The tech and the doctor at Healing Hearts really know there stuff and instilled confidence in their expertise; and all the staff are so loving! It was easy to get in, they took excellent care of my Cavi, they showed compassion, are well-priced, and the front desk is very kind and easy to work with. The reason for 10 stars is driven by the care, compassion and urgency that Dr. Lehman has given and shown to my Cavi during a stressful incident. He made himself available to me on a Sunday, after she had been at the emergency vet and did more to help her on a Sunday than the emergency clinic did. I paid a very large bill for the emergency clinic during the 4am visit that gave no diagnosis and no next steps. So I contacted Dr. Lehman when we arrived home and despite his business not being open on Sunday he still took it upon himself to help me and my girl. He gave direction, next steps, diagnosis, and treated her because he TRULY CARES about the pets that come through to his hospital. Wow I cannot express my complete gratitude, relief and happiness and praises for this animal hospital which is now called Murray Animal Hospital and is sooo much better than before when it was under the old management and ownership of Healing Hearts!! Firstly, I brought my little 11 year old Isabella here (a Maltese Bichon mix) a year ago and the service and incompetence of the doctors then were so bad that I actually just got her vaccinations and left since I did not feel they knew what was wrong with her and they had no imaging facilities or anything to assist me in diagnosing her condition. I was frustrated and not happy at all!! Then come 2020 and I drove past and saw that it was under new management and ownership and I decided to go in and see if they were better and I was so pleasantly surprised!! Firstly Dr Lehman is definitely one of the most educated, kind, extremely caring and competent vets I've ever met or had the pleasure of dealing with!! He is PHENOMENAL in his knowledge, experience, great bedside manner and positive solution based treatments and he took the time to help educate me with what was really happening with my sweet little Isabella!! He diagnosed her condition and gave me a prescription on my first appointment and then on my follow up he was able to tell me a lot more and how I can help her live several more good years with the right treatment and medications! I'm absolutely certain that he saved her life and has given her a few good more years to enjoy with me and everyone who loves her and that is PRICELESS!!! I did make sure to get an estimate for both appointments so I could budget for it but one test she had was more than half the price of other vets I called around and checked on so I am definitely a dedicated customer for life and I highly recommend them!! I'm honestly so happy that a smart, educated, experienced, caring vet is now in our area and I can tell he's becoming very popular cause it was busy from 7am to after 6pm tonight when I left after my 2nd appointment tonight. Our vet Dr. Gold moved there so we thought we would try it. We arrived at 8.15 am for an 8.30 am appointment. The office is awful, there's no space at all other than a few office chairs in the waiting room so all of the animals are hyper anxious. It's the middle of a pandemic and half of the staff are wearing masks below their noses. We don't hear a word from any of them after an hour I asked what time they expect to be able to see us to which the lady on reception looked like she wanted to kill us for even asking. We just walked out. I wouldn't go back here if my dogs were on their deathbeds. read more

My big, old Giant schnauzer needed a new knee (called a TPLO surgery). Considering his age (11), I was so worried that he wouldn't make it through, or that it wouldn't help. Dr Lehman performed the surgery and within the first week it was obvious that my guy was going to heal up well and be able to walk & play and get around like he used to. He is doing amazing now and it is all due to the over the top care he received at Murray Animal Hospital and the gifted surgical expertise of Dr Lehman himself. We live 300 miles away from Salt Lake, but Murray Animal hospital (all of their docs) is our two big dog's health provider. We happily make the trip for their regular care and most especially for those times when they require extra medical services. read more

The new owners have backed out on this. They don't honor all the costs and the neuter prices went up. Very disappointing and poor customer service. Today I visited Healing Hearts Animal Hospital for the first time with my dog Chase. There was a little confusion when I arrived and I noticed a sign saying please be patient as we are training a new receptionist staff. The person who weighed and checked out Chase was very nice and professional. I'm sorry, I don't remember her name, but she was awesome. When the doctor came in he was somewhat personable but very quick with his examination and was in and out of the room with little conversation. He told me that Chase had an ear infection that was caused by an allergies. The lady who checked in Chase (wish I could remember her name) then told me she would bring me an estimate for the exam, shots, and treating the ear infection. When she came back with the estimate the she said Doctor recommended Chase go on medicine for allergies. There were two options for medicine's, one being much more expensive than the other. She explained that the lesser expensive of the two could have many side effects but the choice was mine. She also told me that there was a test that could be done for allergies but it was quite expensive. I asked how the doctor knew if Chase had allergies without doing the test and she said she didn't know. I made the decision to wait on the allergy medicine because I wasn't convinced the doctor's diagnosis was correct but went ahead with the rest of the treatment. Chase was treated for an ear infection and got a few shots and was ready to go. When it came to checking out and paying my bill there was a little confusion with the new receptionist but that's to be expected with new employees. She was having quite a few difficulties getting my bill correct and everyone else just disappeared to the back room. Overall I was not completely dissatisfied but can't say that I left feeling like I wanted to make this my primary veterinarian. Business is tough and if you want to keep customers like me you have to do a little bit more than what's expected. Not a lot, just a little something to make me feel like there is no reason to go anywhere else. I'm not saying I wouldn't use them again but I will probably look around to see if I can find another veterinarian I am more comfortable with. I've been using Yelp and reading reviews for years but this is my first time writing a review. I would hope that this is helpful for both the business and potential customers. read more

Worst vet experience I've ever had! Don't trust the 4 star rating. It comes from employees and people seeking discounted services! I recently adopted a 4 month old German Shepherd/Husky mix from the WVC animal shelter. With the adoption I received a free visit to healing hearts animal hospital. Prior to visiting healing hearts I went to another vet (selected based on availability) because my new pup needed to be treated for kennel cough. They prescribed antibiotics and that was that. He has progressively been getting better over the past week. He is still sneezing a bit, but otherwise eating normally and seems happy. I decided to keep my appointment at healing hearts because it was free, so why not. The vet at healing hearts made me feel like there was a high likelihood that my dog could have distemper (a deadly virus to dogs). He also lectured me about the importance of training my dog. I left there choked up feeling like my dog was going to get deathly ill in the next few weeks and that I wasn't doing a good job as an owner (even though this is my third Shepherd and I've trained each one extremely well). I tried to protest by saying my dog had been vaccinated upon entry to the shelter. He then told me that the shelters lie when they say they vaccinate every dog upon entry and that they only vaccinate when they know for sure the dog will be adopted, primarily because they don't want to waste their money on dogs that won't be adopted. In other words, I shouldn't trust that my dog was properly vaccinated. Totally freaked out, I immediately drove to the WVC animal shelter. A women helped me by showing me my dogs entry date into the shelter and his vaccination date, they were the same. The vet @ healing hearts totally lied to me based on his own backwards assumptions about shelters. Additionally, the shelter employee told me that in the 7 years she has worked there she has seen 1 case of distemper. Not to mention, I called the first vet I took my puppy to, to treat the kennel cough, and they said Distemper is possible but unlikely in this case. At the end of the day, I understand explaining risks and possibilities to pet owners, but you should never allow your clients to leave in near tears and high anxiety. I recently lost my last Shepherd to cancer, and since he had health problems his whole life I've been to a lot of vet offices - I feel confident in saying this is the worst vet experience I've ever had. DO NOT GO HERE Today marks one year that my precious puppy Pepper died in the hands of healing hearts animal hospital. She was six months old and went in for a spay surgery. I was called at work three hours after dropping her off with a very abrupt message that said the surgery went fine but that she had died. The lack of emotion and bedside manner in the conversation was shocking. It was like they were relaying a much less severe message. The events to follow made things much worse. Not only was I missing my little baby, but the way they handled the situation lead me to think I could not trust them. I understand the practice of medicine is complicated and sometimes there are unfavorable results. But the sort of conversation or communication I saw happening in this establishment was unclear And inconsistent. The whole situation was relayed in a Poor manner and very confusing with absolutely no answers. In the hours and days to follow we would only be lead into more pain by the way they were defensive ill-informed and completely not equipped to answer any questions we had. If I were the manager hospital, I would be checking in with any sort of issue that happened on my watch. I have yet to ever receive communication from the manager of the hospital concerning the DEATH of a perfectly healthy puppy. Like I said a year has passed so I am writing this with a clear head. I do not trust that the situation was not caused by human error. What I can say for sure was that the way they handled it was heartbreaking for me. And the answers they gave seemed medically unsound. Pepper was a sweet little baby who looked loved her big brother Chauncey, she loved The snow and had only just begun life. She never even got a chance. We miss you baby girl. read more

I am writing this review almost a year after the tragic loss our much loved Puppy at the hands of this veterinary clinic. I have waited almost a year as i wanted to articulate this review with a clear mind. - we brought our 6 month old blue heeler puppy in to get spayed and we never saw her again. i remember i was at work and i had 9 missed calls from my wife, i called her back and she answered in tears and told me the news that everyone dreads, Our 6 month old Puppy was dead. She died on the operating table after her surgery. "How did this Happen?" - "Oh the operation was a success , but she stopped breathing and she didn't make it through the operation?"...........WHAT?? Now i understand that there is always a risk with operations but how often does that happen? What made this experience so much harder to accept and understand was the the way this clinic handled the events in the days that followed . Absolutely disgusted in the way we were treated throughout our grieving process. No one knew what was going on. We got a Necropsy done as we though maybe she had an abnormality with her liver , or lungs or Heart, Nope nothing , perfectly Healthy Canine. They were almost going to make us pay for the cremation as well. zero empathy and it was one mistake after the other. Almost 2 weeks went by and i had 2 missed calls on my phone and called them back and they told me that our puppy's ashes were ready to pick up. i went in the next morning to be told that they hadn't arrived yet, So that shows you the level of communication that this place operates on. when i spoke to the manager about it she told me that no one had confessed to telling me that ,so someone LIED. mistake after mistake. When we asked the Manager who had administered the Anasthesia,She didn't know.......What?? so all of these mistakes that kept happening led us to believe something else happened to our puppy on that day....If you love your furry friend , STEER CLEAR of this place. read more

I have never had a more positive experience getting care for my dog. Period. I brought my dog in for a routine dentist appointment expecting a couple extractions (since it had been almost two years since he'd last had a dental cleaning). I was immediately impressed with the friendliness and CLEANLINESS of this clinic. After filling out some routine paperwork and waiting for a few minutes (maybe five or so--I've waited upwards of 30 at other places even with an appointment!) they called me in with the vet tech. She explained the procedure and told me they would call in case my dog needed any extractions. They did so a few hours later, saying he had a couple of rotten ones in there. They quoted me a price and I told them to go ahead and extract what they needed to. Imagine my horror when they called a few hours later to say they'd ended up extracting not just two teeth, but 18! (For the record, adult dogs have 42. My dog can still eat solid foods and everything, most of the teeth they pulled were tiny baby ones.) I felt terrible knowing that my dog was in such poor dental care! They said that he had started bleeding a lot so they ran a test on him to make sure everything was okay. They also said they'd like to keep him overnight just to monitor him. I know every situation is different so I don't want to say how much I paid (for fear that other Yelp readers will then demand that same price whenever their pet goes in for similar dental work), but suffice it to say that my jaw DROPPED when they told me the total price. But unlike other experiences I've had at vet clinics, my jaw dropped because the price was so REASONABLE. My husband literally did not believe it until we picked up our dog, ran our credit card, and walked out the door. But again, it's not just reasonable prices that make Healing Hearts great. It's the people. I felt like my dog was in very caring, competent hands the entire time. They even called me out the blue a few days later just to ask how he was doing! I will be so sad to move from SLC and leave Healing Hearts behind. Vet care like this is extremely, EXTREMELY hard to come by. read more

I checked out prices and quality ALL over the Salt Lake Valley- from the Avenues, to Sandy, to slightly into the West Valley area. I checked out reviews, prices, any information I thought that would help me make the decision on where to take my little kitty Blossom of, now, 17 years old. No other veterinarian comes close to Dr. Sam at Healing Hearts as well as the incredible staff and affordability. Back in February of 2014, a former manager of mine recommended that I take my cat into Healing Hearts (I had inquired to her about getting my cats teeth cleaned for the first time and that is where she went). She had been going to Healing Hearts for a few years and told me that February is "Dental Month" where they discount all cleanings and extractions. Well I went in originally and had an appointment set with Dr.Erin McGillic. She explained we needed to pull my cat's teeth because they were so bad and "ouchy" for my cat. Downside was, she didn't try to explain any of the side effects of NOT getting a senior cat's teeth pulled when they are healthy enough to withstand the surgery. She definitely came off as more concerned with getting money in the door rather than focusing on the needs of my cat-she didn't explain ANYTHING she could/should have. Unfortunately, being a college student, I didn't have an extra ~$450 to $500 for the teeth extractions at the time so I waited so I could pay off my semester. (Hindsight is 20/20 and I wish I did the extractions.) ***Just to give people an idea, that is AWESOME pricing for extractions on a senior cat- identified as "severe" because it includes EVERYTHING*** A few months later (about May/June), I take Blossom back in because I am convinced she has a UTI. She was peeing EVERYWHERE, which was not like her, and then even peed on a white-covered book I had.That's when I saw some blood in the few drops of urine. Third time is the charm and we do a full-blood panel. She has very small crystals found in her urine and Dr. McGillic informs me, it isn't a UTI per say, but CRF (chronic renal failure) or kidney disease. I didn't know what to do. At that point, Dr. McGillic recommended that we put her on a prescrition diet and pull my cat's infectious teeth because it will help- no other explanation than "it will help". That pissed me off because it appeared she was in it for the money and didn't see how the hell the two connected so I complained to the tech and she couldn't give me any other advice. Once I found out Blossom had CRF, I called around to all other Vets and got a second evaluation from a friend's vet who confirmed that she had CRF and that pulling the teeth would help the kidney's not work as hard due to them not having to cleanse the bacteria from the teeth every time she swallows. NOW IT ALL MAKES SENSE... Well, the next day I got a follow up call from Healing Hearts. They wanted to see how Blossom was doing and how I feel about the experience. That's when I told them how frustrated I was and somehow ended up talking with the hospital manager. Karen-the manager, is AMAZING. After talking with her over the phone, I went down to the hospital to pick up my prescription food for my cat and talked with her again in person. She reassured me about EVERYTHING. Got me to understand they are NOT in the business to make money, but instead actually want to help the patients and their guardians. Understanding my financial dilemma, she promised me they would honor the Feb. discounted tooth extraction/cleaning rate (saving me at least $100). She also told me about CareCredit which could help me in emergency situations with Blossom and it was easy to tell she cared about extending my cat's life as much as possible. Afterwards, she then set me up with Dr. Sam instead, and we got the ball rolling on the extractions. Two weeks later, the appt for extractions came and I got a call from Dr. Sam after I had dropped Blossom off. She wasn't healthy enough to go under anesthesia because she might not wake up. Her "levels" were not where they needed to be. I went back in and talked with him in person where he explained all levels and let the information sink in. He was willing to offer any other advice or explain the information again in a different way if I needed- he was patient and he cared about me and my cat. We came up with a game plan to get my cat back on track for the next couple weeks in hopes of being able to pull her teeth in a month's time. The techs all LOVED my cat, and the main tech who works with Dr. Sam, ALWAYS asked me how my kitty was doing whenever I picked up the food. I now moved to Portland, OR and I STILL call him for advice, information and on occasion will buy the Sub Q fluids from Healing Hearts when I visit because I know I'm not getting ripped off. In a nutshell, I wasn't thrilled w/McGillic for multiple reasons, but Karen and Dr. Sam definitely changed the way I feel about that hospital. read more

This is the best visit I've ever had to a veterinarian. I was amazed with the cleanliness of the clinic, and I was especially amazed with the friendliness and compassion of the staff. Their reasonable prices were the best part of my visit. I took my 1 yr old chihuahua to get neutered, and the staff clearly explained everything about the procedure and how to care for my dog afterwards. When I came to pick him up, I noticed that they had even trimmed his nails! I definitely recommend this clinic to anyone looking for excellent, reasonably-priced veterinary services. read more

I came here based on the recommendation from Rescue Rovers where I adopted my puppy. The front staff were awesome! They were friendly, attentive and very helpful; most of all they were understanding. They even had toys for my kids- though I wished they had toys for puppies to play with. I came with everyone (my 3 young children) to my puppy's first appt. When making the appt I told the receptionist that I would need help as I would have my young children present. Of course it was chaotic and loud as little children and puppies can be. The staff enjoyed my sweet puppy and got him very rowdy. He's a biter especially, when overly excited. While we are currently working on training him, I was hoping to receive information to help. When the vet walked in, he did not introduce himself, he told me I needed to hold down my dog bc he was biting at him, and that my dog was a "problem". The vet acted distasteful by my pet, my loud children, interrupted me and spoke over me, was not patient, nor helpful. He actually said to the vet tech to "look out, that dog is out of control, he'll bite your face" as he walked out the door; I couldn't get him to stay long enough to answer any more questions. I wanted them to trim his nails. Never happened. I asked questions regarding flea/tick prevention and heart worms and received more info from the vet tech. He actually couldn't answer some of the questions and looked to her to answer them regarding the flea/tick and heart worm prevention. I found way more help online by watching training videos. Thank you Zak George! He's a 3 months old puppy. They bite. I feel appalled at this Vet's behavior. I question if this man even likes dogs. I'm glad the first appt was so cheap otherwise I'd be pretty upset. I'd like to give this place a second chance, the reviews are good overall, but will NOT be seeing this "Vet". After looking at my paperwork, which he never signed, I did some more research and found out his name is Dr. Hutsenpiller, or Dr "H" who's worked at several different pet clinics racking up similar reviews. I love my animals and am looking for a vet who shows the same love and compassion. This man completely lacked any of the above. read more

Wow am I ever thankful to have taken my cat to this place! After some negative experiences at our last veterinarian, I started looking for a new one. My cat has had an ongoing health issue for awhile now, and I needed to find a trustworthy doctor for him. A friend recommended Healing Hearts Animal Hospital, so we went there today. What a great place this is!! It's clean and friendly, and our doctor took Tigger's well-being very seriously. The vet tech who helped us was so incredibly wonderful, I couldn't be happier! Such a caring and thoughtful person! It seems to be a very affordable place to go as well. What a relief to finally find the best place to take my animals for routine health care. read more

This disorganized place is a nightmare to take your pet to. If they get your appt correct , (this is unlikely,) they will forget to give medications, mix up your animal with someone else's. The staff is rude and treat you as an annoyance. My cat was dying and , rather than talk to me, the girl sounded very happy to tell me I had to wait 2 weeks. Needless to say , I go elsewhere. read more

No complaints here. I had a free fix voucher to get my kitty spayed and they treated her just like a paying customer. The staff was kind and gentle and they followed up twice after her surgery. There were no complications. Happy to report kitty is alive and well three months later! read more
