All of the house plants I've gotten from here are absolutely thriving, and are probably the healthiest ones I own. They have a good variety of house plants, and they typically get different ones coming in every couple of weeks. There's a section toward the back with a huge assortment of baby houseplants, and they always typically have your standard Pothos, Monstera, Prayer Plants, Alocasia, and string-type house plants. In addition to the plants, they also have a good variety of soil and pots to re-pot your plants, as well as a ton of outdoor garden decor in the gift shop area of the greenhouse. They also have locally-themed decor from local artists, and I've even gotten a vintage Buffalo Bills helmet planter from here. I would definitely say this is the place to check out if you're just getting in to house plants! The staff here is always super friendly and willing to talk plants, and help you find something to best suit your needs.

This is a hidden gem in the South towns , that encompasses, mums, boo decorations, corn hole, little corn maze for kids, fire pit and just a place to relax . The corn maze, $8 , and is 5 acres and difficulty level is there, the twist is the fun scavenger hunt. We were well in there for over an hour. This weekend coming up, is their night corn maze, Friday, and Saturday,$10, fire pit and s'mores. Be sure to check them out before fall and Halloween are done, it's worth the drive to support a smaller business.

This was our first trip to this nursery. We were looking for a specific type of tree that no other…read morenursery had in stock. It was a short trip from our house and the scenery on the way was great. When we arrived, we were immediately impressed. As far as we could see we're stands of trees arranged by type in specific areas with walkways in between. We entered the sales area to get help on finding what we were looking for. This area was not the same as other nurseries. The selection of available items was limited but covered most gardening needs. The person at the counter pulled out a map of the nursery and told us which quadrant to look in. He gave us a tag so we could mark which one we wanted if we found something we liked. Each area was numbered so it was easy to find the species we were looking for. There was a plentiful number of trees that were obviously well cared for. We made our selection and tagged the tree. Upon returning to the sales area we paid for the tree which was less than other nurseries charge, especially since the tree was larger than those at other places, and arranged for delivery. The $50 fee is less than others. The next day the tree was delivered and placed right next to the place we had prepared for it. This visit has convinced us that Boston Hill will now be one of the nurseries we go to for quality products.

We have been wanting trees for our back yard, as it currently does not have any shade at all. We…read morereceived a catalog from Boston Hill Nursery in the mail and after looking a bit, we decided the time was now. We went on a windy Friday afternoon and one of the girls who worked there wrote up a little post it for us letting us know where we could find the different types of trees that we were interested in. They also provided us with some suggestions that would help us manage the concerns in our yard. We were given tags with our name on them to "claim" the trees we wanted and then we just tore off the price tag so she could cash us out when we got up to the front again. I do wish I wore rubber rain boots and a heavier coat, but that was only my fault. Once we picked out all our trees they got us cashed out and talked to us about how we would plant them in our yard, we also opted for the delivery because some of the trees we got were nearly 15 feet tall. The delivery went off with our a hitch and the helped us place the trees right near where we planned to plant them. We are really excited about adding trees to our yard and we loved the selection and ease at Boston Hill Nursery. We are going to see how these trees do in our backyard and maybe we will get an ornamental tree for our front yard in a few years!

I know I can always find a quality gift item for my garden-loving friends, a unique perennial for that odd spot in the yard, or a funky planter to make the perfect table setting. My most recent garden problem was finding a nicely shredded mulch that didn't leave behind big chunks at the end of each growing season. Lavocat's to the rescue! They have a wonderful hardwood fine-shredded mulch that's just perfect. If you're like me, and have a smaller garden - bagged mulch is what we need - whole truck loads just don't work. The knowledgeable and very helpful staff at Lavocat's will load your vehicle and you'll be very pleased with the results in your garden.
