We had to do some landscaping so we came to pick out some plants. Now, I don't know a lot about plants or landscaping so I am not an expert on this, but overall it was a pretty positive experience. They have a lot of different kinds of plants, trees, etc. It was a lot larger than I'd realized and they have a huge shopping area inside the greenhouse as well as outside. They have quite a variety of plants and they were organized well so it was easy to shop and compare the kind of plants you were looking for. There were nice information tags on every plant to ensure you could find things to match your environment requirements. There are more things to choose from compared to a Home Depot or Lowe's but they are a bit more expensive. In general it seemed kind of expensive to me but I know this stuff isn't cheap. I live 5 minutes away so I frequent here often. They have really great prices on perennials, trees, and shrubs especially. The quality is really unmatched. The service is also really great. You can pay and pick up later like we did which is really nice for trees. read more

Any business that offers a way to buy products online, purchase via credit card, and pick up curbside, I support them. I have not been going anywhere where I have to physically walk in somewhere. I put my order in yesterday at 4:56pm. I received a confirmation that my order was ready for pick up less than 10 minutes later. I decided to take a ride out there (it isn't close to where I live) today during my lunch. When I arrive in the parking lot, I called and let them know I was there. They said pull up to the front doors. They came out, loaded me up, and I was off. It took about 2 minutes at the most. I love that kind of service. I would definitely visit this business again. What a fantastically cool place if you are even remotely into gardening. Bushes shrubs herbs plants of all kinds. It's a great fun to walk around and see all the beautiful colors and also to check out the adorable dogs hanging out next to the checkout counter. I was able to score a hanging planter for cheaper than what Amazon wanted for the same thing at this location. They do have a restroom in case you need it. A lot of the greenhouse is outdoors so make sure you come on a day that is comfortable for walking inside and outside. read more

The plants / vegetables here are cheaper than other stores that I have visited. The miricale grow vegetable soil is $2 more than most other stores. So shop around. But so far everything I bought is flourishing other then my cucumbers. . I couldn't find carrot seeds anywhere else and they are already sprouted I bought a lot of vegetables from this place this year and I'm hoping for a good crop. Updates to come. I have zero complaints about this nursery! They have a huge selection of plants, trees and garden decor to choose from and their prices are fairly reasonable. They have veggie start packs for under 2 dollars and annuals at a great price. Their garden decor selection is chock full of unique pieces to add to your garden that you won't find anywhere else. The staff here is very helpful and I sincerely appreciate that they put all your plants in a box and that they have plastic liners for your trunk. That way you don't have to worry about getting your car dirty or wet from plants that were just watered. All of their plants looked very healthy as well. I came here to get plants for two planters I was putting together for Mother's Day and found more than enough to choose from. I have been going here for many, many years and will continue to do so. The selections are amazing and varied. I have found many items that I did not even know existed. Employees here are friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. When I had questions about a Bruns Spruce, which is fairly uncommon, the staff knew all about the tree. For further information he called the owner, Russel Gullo who arrived within minutes and was even more knowledgeable. The loading staff placed the tree in my vehicle only after wrapping it to prevent damage while transporting. They were also very helpful and friendly. Gullo's is cool, they have a pretty extensive selection and the place is large but that comes for a price. This place is quite expensive. You might do better to call around for what you need and see if someone else has your items for less cost. I use Gullos as a last resort as they typically have what I need but for almost always 25-30% more expensive. read more

HOLY COW - this place has far more stuff then I thought it did. We walked around this place pointing and walking for a long time. I couldn't believe some of the tree sizes - they were huge. The selection here is absolutely crazy - however, as much as they did have - they didn't have what we wanted. However, they had a regular version of the dwarf tree we wanted and we are now sure of what we want - so that was huge!!! Pricing didn't seem to bad to us - but for the novice - some of the prices might come as a shock. You need to know that the older the plant or tree the more money it will cost. Sometimes I've actually heard people saying things like - but this has been here for ever - and they think that means deep discount. I pay more for an older tree in a pot! From outdoor furniture - fountains - plants - tress and more trees - wind chimes - it just goes on and on. If you are ready for some serious landscaping - I'd check this place out if nothing more then for ideas! Plan to spend some time just looking around though! The only reason this one didn't get the 5 star is they need a larger selection of dwarf trees! read more

I've come to Gullos as my local place to buy plants not wanting to patron big box corporations and all but 1 time hav e I had interacted with employees there that didn't have time to educate me but also had one employee actually laugh at me for not knowing something quite simple . I am a newbie gardener and asked about a certain plant and how silly it was for me not to know the difference between annuals versus perennial this lady like scoff/laughed at me I was like wait what ... did this really actually just happen I'm not in the business and really honestly didn't know at the time that made me feel like a total moron . So I Chalked it up as a single situation and ok maybe that person was having a bad day . I can agree with that at times. I took some time away from there and decided recently I'd like to give it another try from convenience factor mainly, asked about associate about hey do you have this particular spirea. His reply was nope , there are other around just have to look and you can't really grasp the situation from this message but again it was this cranky like Attitude . Again I was like man wouldn't they wanna like I dunno walk around with people and show them the varieties they do have ? Oh gosh no apparently they just continued working and left me to figure it out on my own i had my entire family of children with me on a family outings to make the garden experience something family oriented to spend time with them and get them all outside and excited about growing beautiful plants while being outside and spending time with dad , they all witnessed this and even my 14 year old daughter was like man that wasn't very nice ... so I told her to drop what it was we did have already picked out and said we are out of here . I'm pretty disappointed in the customer service in the aisles as I would assume they would be not only focused on the large volume contractor that I'm sure makes up a majority of their business but also to the regular joe customer that may or may not know what they are looking for . Needless to say I won't ever patron this place again even if they were the only one who had what i wanted . Your mgmt team and associates need to head down to some of these other family owned businesses and see how it's actually done . But I'm sure the landscapers will keep you in business. Gullo's put in some very expensive landscaping including some trees. When the trees appeared to be diseased, I called on 3 separate occasions to request a consult. Each time they said someone would call me back. I never got a call back or a visit. I'll be going with another garden company to replace the trees. read more

We drive 50 miles to come to this nursery. It is a fabulously good, well-stocked nursery which is family owned. All the staff are knowledgeable and extremely helpful. We especially like Jim. I have never been disappointed. They might not be the cheapest but they're well worth patronizing. What I like is that they give you serious professional recommendations based on years of experience and good judgment. Their delivery charge is downright cheap. We ordered 5 yards of top soil to plant grass in our yard. It was delivered and it was very light brown, it had rocks and twigs in it. It partially looked like sand from a distance. When I called the center to inquire stating I was expecting a darker looking, rich looking soil. I asked if maybe a mistake was made. I was told " if you ordered top soil you got top soil". I explained my concern. He stated that "this time of the year it looks like that, and you cant tell if soil has nutrients just by looking at it." He was rude and did not seem to care that I was unhappy. I realized I was not going to get any help or satisfaction so we hung up. I now have to sift out the rocks to be able to plant grass seed. I would not recommend them for top soil at all. read more

Review only based on Christmas Tree purchase, I have no other experience with this nursery. First I'll say that the staff is amazing and helpful. Unfortunately, I purchased a Christmas tree here this year and I'll never do that again. Less than 2 weeks after the purchase, the tree is dying, quickly. Before buying I was told all the trees were cut within the week. I'm thinking they really wanted to make a sale. 3 days before Christmas and I have to get rid of it. The branches sagged, ornaments fell off, needles all over the place at the slightest touch. It's a shame but I can't let the family see this tree. read more
