It's flat, and there are several large, mature trees so you've got shade and peace and quiet. It's best to access from 900 East. There's a small sign and uphill road that comes east off of 9th just south of 45th. Take that for a block or so and it appears on your left. Hopefully you're not out cruising Yelp to find cemeteries to go hang out in. Because it's creepy, that's why. But if you were, this small hidden one will do.

One bad apple will ruin the whole basket! 5 stars for JJ, John Erickson, and Brandon Burningham…read more They were absolutely fabulous to work with. Unfortunately Soane Afeaki was the complete opposite. This is the second time Soane was involved in a funeral for our family and it is the second time he's managed to put his opinions and ego before our mourning family's needs. The latest time was earlier today. We had asked to use the side doors to bring in decorations more easily from the parking lot straight into the main room, the night before our funeral 3/3/25. JJ obliged and things were going great. That is until Soane came in and told us we couldn't use the side door and locked it up. Everything was already in the building by then, so whatever no big deal we continued decorating. The morning of our funeral (3/4/25) we were unloading flowers and other finishing touches. I asked the Office Manager, Leesa Hunter, if she would have someone open the side door. She started to say yes, however, Soane came up abruptly interrupted our conversation behind me saying those doors would not be opened. Asking why when we had them opened the night before and it worked out well. He told me he was not going to let them be opened because he didn't want them opened. I asked him why he thinks his opinion matters? I told him that I needed those doors opened to make it easier for us to get things into the room, and he reiterated that out of respect for what was going on in the room, he would not open it. We still had an hour before we were to start and no one but my wife and I were there. There was nothing going on in the room. I turned back to Leesa and asked if there was anyone else I could talk to because Soane's opinion was getting in the way of us preparing for what is already an emotional time. She replied saying 'no' that he was our funeral director. But Soane is an Assistant Director and there's always someone else to appeal to in any business setting. Being dismissed by Leesa only served to escalate the issue. I told Soane that I need that door opened and he said he would not do it and that he was done talking to me. I told him he would talk to all of us if he kept treating us like this. I also told him how annoying he was being in Tongan. I left the hallway where Soane was and I happened to find Brandon Burningham and John Erickson in the main room. I explained the need and they opened the door without any issue. Why was this so hard? Why did I have to go through 2 other people before someone finally addressed this simple need? Why is it a power struggle when Soane gets involved? Happily he left soon after I had talked with Brandon and John and he did not come back to interfere further with the rest of our funeral. The rest of the day went off without a hitch because of Brandon and John's professionalism and empathetic approach. How will Soane react when the request is more serious than simply unlocking a door to ease the process for an already grieving family? As I stated earlier this is the second time Soane has tried to throw his weight around at one of our funerals and unfortunately he's still employed with Jenkins-Soffe. Return customers in this industry are key to its success and if they keep this toxic individual among their ranks, he will continue to be a cancer to their future.

I'm sharing our experience with Premier Funeral Service to help others make an informed decision…read moreduring a very difficult time. Our family chose this funeral home primarily because of the lower cost of cremation, as it had been recommended to us. Unfortunately, the service we experienced did not meet our expectations. When we arrived for our appointment, we were told that our family member had already been picked up from the hospital by another funeral home. This was concerning because less than an hour before our appointment, a call had been made to the hospital notifying them that Premier would be the one picking up our loved one. This created confusion and added unnecessary stress during an already emotional situation. Additionally, the interaction during the arrangement process felt very impersonal. At a time when families are grieving and making difficult decisions, compassion and clear communication are extremely important. We paid for the cremation and later that day received notification that there would be additional cost because of weight of the body. Which was disclosed over the phone when setting up appointment. There was a lack of attention to detail. We did not feel that level of care during our meeting. Another moment that stood out was when we were told that an urn that was part of cost, would be provided to us in a black plastic bag. This felt unexpected and did not match what we anticipated for such a sensitive matter. Our family was dealing with a great deal of emotion and simply wanted to complete the necessary arrangements. However, based on our experience, I would encourage others to carefully consider their options and ensure they choose a funeral home that provides both professionalism and compassion during this process.
