I'm sharing our experience with Premier Funeral Service to help others make an informed decision during a very difficult time. Our family chose this funeral home primarily because of the lower cost of cremation, as it had been recommended to us. Unfortunately, the service we experienced did not meet our expectations. When we arrived for our appointment, we were told that our family member had already been picked up from the hospital by another funeral home. This was concerning because less than an hour before our appointment, a call had been made to the hospital notifying them that Premier would be the one picking up our loved one. This created confusion and added unnecessary stress during an already emotional situation. Additionally, the interaction during the arrangement process felt very impersonal. At a time when families are grieving and making difficult decisions, compassion and clear communication are extremely important. We paid for the cremation and later that day received notification that there would be additional cost because of weight of the body. Which was disclosed over the phone when setting up appointment. There was a lack of attention to detail. We did not feel that level of care during our meeting. Another moment that stood out was when we were told that an urn that was part of cost, would be provided to us in a black plastic bag. This felt unexpected and did not match what we anticipated for such a sensitive matter. Our family was dealing with a great deal of emotion and simply wanted to complete the necessary arrangements. However, based on our experience, I would encourage others to carefully consider their options and ensure they choose a funeral home that provides both professionalism and compassion during this process. read more

My sister and I wanted an incredible service for our mom since she was such an incredible mom. She was not pretentious and did not want flamboyance at the end. We went to eight different funeral homes and were very surprised at the discrepancy in cost. We chose Premier as they were very accommodating when it came to our requests. Throughout this stressful process, Jared always answered my calls when I had a question no matter the time or date. The staff that picked her body up from our home was so respectful handling her body and respecting our grief, we knew we had made the right choice. We had the graveside services all the way out in Tabiona and Don was incredible from offering me a place to sit and be warm from the cold Tabiona wind to making sure our requests were respected. Low cost option that will cost you in professionalism and organization. We advised that this would be a very large funeral, to the viewing they sent one man who had no idea how to organize a crowd. At the funeral they sent two men who were very arrogant and inappropriate with the family. No where near enough seats were saved for the family among other issues. My son passed away on February 4, 2026, his body was transported to premier funeral service at the request of my son's husband El. I made several visits to the funeral service to speak on my son's services, however John, Judy and Ken refused to give me any information about my son Mr Kevin Dinkins. They stated very rudely that only the family can receive information concerning a deceased person! I ori emailed them my son's birth certificate as confirmation that I Gertrude Love is Mr Kevin Dinkins mother, they still refused to give any information. my fight was very difficult with this funeral home! I reach out to vital statistics office whom called John to put Kevin's legal parents on death certificate, so if was done through a government official calling to instruct premier there are serious consequences for falsifying legal documents at the request of husband or anyone! My son's husband isn't from America but the funeral home is based in America and should know the rules on lying on legal documents especially if bribery was involved! I can't confirm bribery, but what other reason would a funeral home deny a grieving mother information on he SON!!! My husband passed in 2023, my brother passed in 2025, now my son has passed in 2026. My pain is devastating but yet the funeral home struck a deeper blow to my heart by denying me the right and privilege of entering their establishment. Never take or refer any of your friends or loved ones to premier funeral service and cremation on Oakland park Florida! I filed a complaint with license division to investigate fraud on legal documents! my son was put to rest at military cemetery on March 4, 2026, today march 11, 2026, I'm still distressed on how I was treated during my grievance process. My entire family which is Kevin's entire family was denied access to any information or wasn't allowed to enter the property! The idea of losing my child and the scars of being denied access will haunt me the rest of my life! not one time we became violent under the circumstances, I gave all this problem to our Lord and savior Jesus Christ ! If it were possible to leave less than one star, that's where I would start. The day before the service, we were notified that they had been overbooked, and that they were going to have to try to "squeeze us in". Once we arrived we were notified that we would not be allowed our religious rituals (Buddhist, which they had previously been notified of) because now it might infringe on the other service that they DOUBLE BOOKED AT THE EXACT SAME TIME AS OUR SERVICE. So their response was that we should just move our services into the CREMATORIUM. As this was obviously unacceptable, they then decided that they would go ahead and just cram our entire funeral party into a closet? Dressing room? Not sure what it was but now we got to stand shoulder to shoulder crammed like sardines into a tiny space because of the ineptitude of this funeral home. To add to the horrific nature of the experience, the proprietor was not only not in any way remorseful, he was, in fact, arrogant, confrontational, and unsympathetic. When you need to have a service for your loved one, run far far away from here. Post service, we walked out of our tiny closet to find out that the other service, the one that we would be interrupting, no one had yet shown up for. read more

My wife has a "paid in full" burial policy with Premier Funeral Services. I had a policy also, but cancelled mine because, being a retired Air Force service member I thought the military would cover my burial costs. I found out that the military benefit of burial is minimal if not much at all. I then realized my error in cancelling my policy and re-contacted Premier Funeral Services. Ms. Marjorie Smith came to our home at a moments notice and explained all the benefits that I do get for military burial and got me a burial plan that covers all the needs with a very reasonable price. The cost from Premier Funeral Services covers all the needs and is much different from another expensive burial service. Ms. Marjorie was professional, courteous, explained the plan i needed and understood the needs when the time of decision making is needed during a loved ones passing. My mom passed away in January of 2019 and was cremated with this company. I spoke with a man named Jared many times. Two issues: The fee for a death certificate is $30 for the first copy and $10 for each additional copy. I paid for the first copy and still have not received it. Secondly there were ash fingerprints on the outside of her container. I attached photos and blocked out her name for privacy. It's the last thing I wanted to see when I opened the box! Update: I am upgrading my review to 3 stars. Jared finally contacted me and mailed me her death certificate and I mailed him a check for it since I had stopped payment the first time. My experience was not the greatest with this company but at least both of us did the right thing. He sent what I wanted and I paid for it! read more

We all make mistakes. It is what you do after the mistake that matters. Premier Funeral Services handled a mistake that they made with lack of emotion and complete disrespect. I attend a funeral and was left completely speechless about how my friends were treated. Premier Funeral Services knew well in advance that this service was going to be a Buddhist service but when my friends got to the funeral home, they were made to change things because Premier Funeral Services double booked. My friends were told that Premier Funeral Services did not want the chanting to disturb the other service. My friends were asked to move the service to the crematorium. Eventually we were moved into a room that was smaller than my office. We stood shoulder to shoulder. To make matters worse, the other service was not there when we started and was still not there when we had left. Why they chose to lie to us, I don't know. They blatantly made it seem like our culture was less than the "other" service if there was even one. A funeral is hard enough and Premier Funeral Services made it immensely harder for my friends. Stay away from this place. They will only lie to you and disrespect you. They lack sympathy, emotion and any understanding for other cultures and religions. read more

They were professional, quick, and helpful in all aspects of the viewing, funeral, and graveside services. I would highly recommend them. Our family is disappointed with their service. The price was deceptive and did not include all of the service prices. Our family member member several times was called the deceased name even after the person was corrected several times. When our family member called to ask if the ashes could be picked up the person who answered the phone said the ashes were too warm and call tomorrow. When you have just lost a member of your family it's hard enough to think of them being gone much less told their ashes Our too hot to handle. We feel that statement was very insensitive. read more
