Use your resources y'all OLCC. You can find out WHAT is in stock and what the price is. MS is often higher in price than other stores. So I'll drive a bit farther especially if I'm going to save more than a couple of dollars. In a pinch I'm always going to choose this store for it's close proximity to my home. The staff has gotten friendlier but the selection is definitely not as good as other larger stores. read more

Great selection, best in the area. The Hall liquor store is closest to me, small, but good for the basics. I USUALLY drive out of the way to the Canyon Rd Beaverton liquor location because the service is so great and friendly service. However if I'm trying to find something new, I will go here now. This store has a dedicated isle to each main liquor type, 10+ types of bitters, juices fairly priced, isle of liquors... Etc. I was surprised to find things I haven't seen before like the local Rogue Spirits line and Pinnacle Cherry Lemonade vodka. Surprisingly, they didn't have what I came for though, a half gallon of Black Heart Spiced Rum. They did have Sailor Jerry's and Captain Morgan though which are pretty much the same thing. Will definitely be back when I feel like testing out a few types of Absinthe or Limoncello or a specific liquor. I'm sure they'll have whatever a bartender might need--or something close to it. read more

Given that I think all OLCC stores have the same selection and prices it's hard to see sometimes why one is better than another. The guy working today was great and helped de-escalate the situation. I don't know his name but he had great people skills and was welcoming to all customers. I would have given this business a 1-star based off an interaction we had with his terrible co-worker. She was incredibly rude the moment my friend and I walked in the door. If she is that scared of the times then she needs to go stay at at home and stop putting the community at risk like she's blaming her customers for doing. I don't care what your views are, don't treat customers like you don't want them there. Please let me know if there was action taken with coaching the girl that was working today on not treating customers like that so I can decide where to take my business. read more

This store has a good selection of liquors, often runs sales, and is conveniently located. However...the older gentleman who typically runs the cash register is perpetually in a foul mood and is often rude to customers. Seriously, I don't know what this dude's problem is. I mean, he works in a nice store in the great State of Oregon. Perhaps he needs more fiber in his diet. But this, I do know...I no longer shop at this liquor store. And it's all because of Mr. Poopy Pants's bad attitude. Update: Having vowed never to return to this store (thanks to Mr. Cranky Pants behind the counter), I recommend Sherwood Liquor Store at 16359 SW Langer Drive in Sherwood as a much better option and not too far away. Very friendly staff, and well stocked with plenty of parking and a few doors down from a Post Office. Not surprised by all the negative reviews. The service is indeed terrible. The bald guy is a robot to say the lease and not helpful at all. I entered the store and didn't get so much of a greeting as a look of surprise. I asked if they had a certain product in stock and he directed me to another product. I reiterated my request and he tells me someone called and reserved the product. I get that stores reserve items for their good and frequent customers. But this store had two bottles of the same product and refused to sell me a single one. read more

I'm never invested in putting anything negative on Yelp since it's really not worth the energy but I live in front of this store and it seemed convenient but the customer service is the worst ever experienced in anywhere I've ever been lol Been there 4 times and 4th (and last for sure) the same bald old guy complaints of doing his job which is just handle a credit card/cash transaction. I was happy when the Murrayhill Liquor store opened because it was closer to my house. But after going there a few times I realized that the manager was rude and they do not allow employees to double bag if more than one bottle is purchased which keeps the bottles from clinking together on the ride home. Even though Progress is farther away, they are friendlier. I will drive the extra miles for friendlier service. read more

I went online specifically to post a negative review & found I'm not the only one to have a less than satisfactory experience. Today was my first visit here looking for something specific that OLCC said they have several bottles in stock. Upon entering no one greeted me & I needed assistance. The "grumpy man" (as others here have described this way too) was stocking shelves and never looked up even when I greeted him. After making my inquiry I was told he didn't have any of the desired bottles & OLCC was not updated. I then inquired about another liquor & he seemed put out that he had to help me. Okay I get that OLCC was wrong & he was doing something but his customer service was horrible. I will NEVER GO BACK here, EVER! I would recommend Hyland Liquors off Allen Blvd. They are very friendly. I personally love Amari & they've the best selection. I also love Stafford Liquors in Wilsonville & the Lake Grove Liquor Store in Lake Oswego. Liquor shopping is a hobby, not a necessity, for me so I can go out of my way for a pleasant experience. read more

Right around the corner which can be convenient at times. I've purchased my share of liquor here; excellent selection of gin, Campari. Also love the mini bottles. Service is ok. Not the friendliest, not the unfriendliest. For the second time in a row I've experienced not-so-friendly customer "service." There's an older gentleman who helped me last week who seemed very stressed out (I was the only customer...), I asked him a couple of questions and needed some help; he seems irritable by me doing so. Not the way to make me come back. Which I will do, because it's convenient and, like I said, an excellent selection. I'll give it one more shot. FOR YEARS my mom and I kept saying someone needed to put a liquor store on this side of town and FINALLY someone listened! This liquor store is Woohoo! As good as it gets! and here's why: ATMOSPHERE: Yes, atmosphere at a liquor store, no joke. It's bright since it is on the corner and has tons of windows. Unlike other liquor stores where you feel like you are walking into a cave from the 70's where no one wants to be seen, this place offers a clean, well lit, open shopping experience. SELECTION: Plenty of choice in my opinion, but I am not a liquor expert. They have a lot of the good stuff that I like to buy as gifts and then my go-to mid-shelf selections as well. They do have ice now (yay!) and a pretty decent selection for mixers. SIZE: Big enough to have a lot of selection and small enough to actually find your vodka. SERVICE: Friendly and efficient. Never had a bad experience. LOCATION: In between the boonies and the metropolis that is Murray Hill Blvd. Perfect! The only negative: parking. I hate this parking lot. The store owner just sits at the register, doesn't say hi or even acknowledge you when you come in. And when you go to pay, he doesn't say a word, just mumbles to himself. Creepiest experience ever. If you "surprise" him with a split cash/debit purchase he will embarrass you in front of the entire store (when he should be embarrassed for being paid to not know how to operate the one machine he comes in contact with) because he grumbles about having to look in his training materials from when he started over 6 months ago. He once told me it "wasn't his job" to know how to solve this 'issue' which confuses me because I sure as hell don't get paid to scan my own liquor. They're the only liquor store in the Murray Hill area open till 9pm M-Sat now so I'll give them an extra half star to make a full 1. read more

WEIRD VIBES.Service is so bad here I specifically joined Yelp to post a review. Have gone to the store 4 times. Unfriendliest, most bizarre staff I have ever seen working at a store of any kind. They stand at the counter and silently glare at customers. Not even a 'next please' or 'how are you'. For example, I was waiting in line, and went to the next available counter. The clerk then says "that was rude". Yeah... service is so bad I wouldn't be surprised if it was some sort of hidden camera prank. I am surprised to see this place still in business with the same ownership, and also disappointed by the sporadic and robotic responses from the owner. What a joke. I used to go here regularly and would spend $100+ each time, but the older gentlemen who works here - the one that nearly all other reviews describe here and on other review platforms - is rude to the point where you wonder if it's a skit on SNL. No greetings, seems annoyed that you are even there, don't you dare ask any questions and expect zero eye contact when you check out. The paper bags, if you're so lucky to get any, could not be more flimsy. He also likes to start to pull the receipt away while you are still signing it. What in the actual f***?! There is also a lot of turnover here - the good employees never seem to last, which I assume is thanks to this grump. You work in a liquor store. It should be fun and people should get inspired to try new things (hello, buy more things from you?), but instead we leave feeling like we've done something wrong. I have stopped going and have spread the word among my friends that it is not worth the visit. Drive to the location on Murray and Allen or your other favorite spot. HOW Is this place still in business?! The bald guy working here is one of the most disrespectful, rude, and short-answered people I have ever run across. Every single time I leave this place, I leave pissed off and wondering why I came back. One of the girls told me a couple weeks ago that when they are working, customer after customer come in and constantly tell them about how terrible he is. I will drive right past this place to a liquor store twice as far to avoid dealing with that guy. I'd go sober before I spend another dollar in this store, until that guy is gone. The businesses replies on here are laughable, just constantly saying sorry for the bad service. Seriously, how many bad complaints on one employee do you have to get before you fire someone? I searched Yelp for the best natural and organic grocery stores and there it was, Murray Scholls Liquor Store! At first I was very confused. What kind of alcohol are they selling? Will it reduce blood pressure? Can I drink the stuff with my medications? Will I lose weight? Is their alcohol high in antioxidants? I was getting excited! Maybe I could drink myself healthy! What a let down it was when I saw the tiny little yellow icon that said 'AD'. I'm giving it 5 stars because it wouldn't be fair to give them 1 star. I don't drink and I would never shop there. However in my opinion, it isn't appropriate to advertise a liquor store with listings for natural, organic foods. It just seems wrong and misleading. Perhaps we could hold Yelp responsible for that but it's likely that the liquor store has say in where their ads appear. read more

Trying to give a local business a chance but they don't deserve it. Third bad transaction and rude staff. They have an issue with there POS machine that likes to run your transaction numerous times and then when you go to ask them to fix the issue they get very defensive and down right rude. Tried in the summer to take the bank statement in to show them the first time and the gentleman at the counter said he had no time to look at it and we would have to come back another time..! REALLY.! Thought we would give them another chance to help support a small business and guess what, happened again and this time it never went through and we didn't take the merchandise so got home and what a shocker they ran it through 3 times crediting it twice and charging on the third transaction. Not sure what kind of business this is but beware for the way they treat customers if there is an issue and check your bank statements.$$$$ Checked with our local bank and they said this is an issue with this business, and were not the first.. read more

On top of that, it's always a warm welcome from John who's more than willing to help you find whatever you're looking to track down even if he has to order it for you. For the longest time I would avoid going to this location because the customer service was absolutely HORRIBLE. So for months I would drive an extra 5 miles out of my way to go somewhere else!
