Disappointed I…read morecontracted Langley Landscaping to put in a flagstone patio for me. I was impressed with Josh Langley from the very beginning. He was professional, a good communicator, and what looked to be quality work. The patio is gorgeous. The problem came with the epoxy sand used to hold the stones together. I had expressed to Josh that I had heard the sand didn't always hold up--that it would often come up. He assured me that he had never had any trouble with it. So we put it in. Once the job was finished, I paid him in full. Then the rains came . . . and yes . . . the sand didn't hold. Josh immediately came back, researched, and had his worker remove all the sand from the upper deck, and reapplied it. A lot of work. He had said he was going to do something with the bottom as well. And this is where things fell apart. The top sand didn't hold again, and he never returned to fix the bottom. In fact, he never responded to my texts again, not even to answer a simple question like can I pressure wash this patio. Needless to say, I don't expect to hear from him again, and the sand is still an issue, but it looks like I will have to pay someone else to complete the project. This review would have been a more positive one if he had just kept communicating, saying there was nothing more he could do and giving me some sort of compensation. I can understand his reluctance to take the entire thing out and mortar it as that would be costly, but at the same time, that would have been the correct thing to do, as I did contract him to put in a patio that would withstand the weather. My recommendation to those of you going with Langley Landscaping would be one of two things: One, don't use epoxy sand. Use mortar. And two, if you go with the sand, do not pay the entire bill until you know for certain that the sand will hold.

Ryan was here 3 different times.He gave me a time that he would be here & was never late. He stayed in touch with me via phone, answered all my silly questions & did a fantastic job. He also gave me a quote & at the end said it didn't take as long as he thought it would & adjusted the price! Talk about honesty. So nice to see. ZERO STARS!!!!! We contracted out a job with Bill's Tree Services to remove a few trees on our…read moreproperty in Redding. We specifically asked if we needed to get a permit thru the City before removing these trees. We were told no and that in the 40 years he has worked in Redding he has never had to get one. Well.... he was wrong! If we had been given the facts, a permit would have cost us about $450.00. We paid him $6,500.00 to do the work and then the City came to us and hit us with a $16,000.00 fine. The City of Redding will not waive the fine! When we tried to talk with Bill's Tree Service and ask for our money back due to their error, they told us to basically kick rocks. Avoid doing business with this company! You are better off using a different company who knows the laws and it will save you thousands of dollars.

We had a leak in our roof and put a 20x20 pond liner on it to keep it from leaking. We contacted…read moreSam and set up an appointment. Sam and a worker were both told that the liner needed to be placed in the garage as it was not the homeowners. When the owner of the pond liner showed up to pick it up 2 workers threw it off of the roof and then threw the cinder blocks down as well. unfortunately, when they threw it down, it was in two pieces instead of one. When Sam was asked about this when the roof was finished and paid for Sam refused to take responsibility for what his workers have done. The roof itself looks okay, but to have an owner of a business blame the issue on someone else and not take responsibility is very frustrating. Just know what you are getting into doing business with someone like this. When I called and asked him about it he admitted that his guys cut the liner and then said the job went south and there was nothing he was going to do to make it better.

They came in with the lowest of 3 or 4 bids and did excellent work removing a bunch of trees and shrubs from my front, side, and rear yards. Garrett was even very agreeable about adding two more trees into the original scope (for an additional charge, which is only fair). He did a terrific job grinding stumps near my foundation and chain link fence with no damage, and even spared the oak saplings I pointed out that were right next to some of the trees being removed. I would happily hired them, again!
