She was a great cat…read moreand very healthy up until her last few months, when she started to miss a step now and then and could not jump as high as she used to. We found her in the neighbor's yard one afternoon when we came home from work, she couldn't make it home on her own. She seemed as if she had had a stroke. We nursed her through the night and in the morning, and with sad hearts, decided it was time. We didn't want her to suffer further. My wife called "All Animals", which is the vet nearest to our home, to try and make arrangements (we didn't want her to have to travel very far in her condition). She was told that since Esther was not seen by them regularly and they had no vet records for her that they would not help us. Esther used to go to the ASPCA vet in Dahlonega which has since closed. We had tried to take Esther to "All Animals" twice before only to be told that they could not see her because she was not in their records. My wife asked to speak to a manager who berated and actually yelled at her for questioning this practice. This was totally rude and uncalled for, especially for someone who had just lost their companion of nearly 20 years. We called Hemlock Animal Hospital in Dahlonega and, not only were they willing to help, but they were also very kind and gracious to us. R.I.P Esther.

The next visit I'm not sure who I saw. They took her back to get a fecal. I told them that I could have brought a stool sample. I could hear her screaming. Apparently, they stuck some kind of bubble wand up there trying to get something. I didn't like that but I didn't say anything. What's really been on my mind is my last yearly visit. Normally I like mornings, but I agreed to a 2 o'clock appointment. I got there at 1:30 and the front desk said we're early. No hello, how are you, hello Dolly. Just 'we're early'. I misjudged how long it would take me to get there from Cumming. I always get to appointments a little early, like 15 or so. I figured I'd get right in after lunch and get out quick. Dr. Bassett did come out looking for somebody while I was in the front so I saw him there. So at 1:50 a woman walked in with her dog and was taken right back. I was a little frustrated, but thought maybe she's seeing someone else. At 2:10 I was finally put in a room. The tech came in shortly after said so we're here for a yearly exam. I'm sorry I just don't get it. I know why I am there. I said I had been waiting for a while. She said well the doctor is doing return phone calls. She was not nice about it either. Why have a 2 o'clock appointment then? If you're calling people with sick dogs, or some kind of post treatment question that could take some time. To make matters even worse I could hear them back there talking about me and then came in at 2:20. He said something about I was told you were frustrated. I said yeah, I was. I'm sorry, but it's customer service 101. I'm there in the office waiting. Make your phone calls after. The icing on the cake was he was giving her all of her shots in her hip, and she has very skinny little bony hips and on the third one she yelped. I feel like dogs I've had in the past and even with this dog, their shots were given in the scruff of the neck. I don't think I'm imagining that. When she screamed, they looked at each other like what's going on here. He said I should go get some kind of joint medicine to give to her for life! It's expensive. Chondroitin? She's not in any joint pain. She doesn't limp. She doesn't have any joint problems. I went in, not too long after that to get her Simperica trio and the tech that was in the room that day was coming in from I don't know where lunch or maybe to start her day and she gave me a dirty look in the parking lot. I hadn't done anything wrong. I show up on time, well early actually, and I ask why I'm having to wait so long when I had seen the doctor there and I'm a problem? It's also very frustrating when they googoo gaga on other dogs and don't even acknowledge my dogs existence. My dog is so sweet. She loves girls and there are a lot of them up there. I just don't know if I will continue going there. It's really hard to find somebody too, so it's upsetting

Have never been. They took my pet with no question and nothing except kindness. Yet my vets offi e if 30 years did this to my baby. She had to be driven further and suffer longer. THEY ARE HORRIBLE. Let's be honest, if you came to…read moreBrowns Bridge Animal Hospital (BBAH) during the days of Dr. Vitali & Dr. Watson, and continued to come to BBAH after they left, you probably have a bitter taste in your mouth. The rotating staff, management and vets that came in after Vitali, et al, left were abysmal. Many/most of the old clients left after terrible experiences, some truly heartbreaking. We, too, left & took our dog to a vet across town, with whom we had no problems. The new vet was nice, competent, we liked him well enough, but it was inconvenient. A friendly letter to old clients announcing a new owner/vet encouraged me to @ least give BBAH one more try. I went to see Dr. Hall w/my 11 y.o lab mix and really liked him. I liked him enough to let him do a knee surgery that she needed. He recommended a less expensive, more conservative surgery due to her age, which I appreciated. He did a great job, was nice, friendly and responded well to questions. But hey, it's still an expensive surgery, so I thought maybe it was just good business for him to be nice pre/post-op and follow-up. Recently, however, my old girl developed a rapidly growing lump on her belly. I took her in, expecting the worst. Initially, he recommeded, not surprisingly, surgical removal. We talked a bit and I expressed concern about repeated anesthesia at her age. We talked about the risk/benefit and we mutually decided to take a step back and go for a "wait and see" approach. He made sure that I was comfortable monitering the growth, even though removal might be the "ideal option". If it grows, we'll remove it, if it doesn't, and its not bothering her, then we'll continue to moniter it. I now feel comfortable he's not just being nice to me (& my dog) because he's looking to do a money making surgery. He recommended the "text book" right answer (surgical removal b/c it grew rapidly), but listened to and considered my concerns and together we came up with a plan of care with which we all feel comfortable. Dr. Vitali left some huge shoes to fill, but I think I have found a vet I am really beginning to trust. I can attest to Dr. Hall's surgical skill thanks to my dog's successful knee surgery. More importantly, perhaps, I am beginning to trust him as a good, honest, thoughtful vet that genuinely cares about my dog. That, as most pet owners know, is a trait that is priceless! If you left BBAH for the same reasons most of us did, consider going back :-) I'm a new fan.

Stay far away! My…read moredog had a laceration that needed medical attention. Google shows that they are open until 1, but we called and were told that they were open until 3 today. We arrived at 12:10. The place was deserted and the employees were on their cell phones. I was told that they couldn't see my pup because they don't take patients after noon on Saturdays. We were only 10 minutes past the cutoff. Staff was on site and not busy, but still couldn't tend to my injured pup. What does that tell you about how they treat animals? If that's what they do in front of a customer, imagine what goes on behind closed doors! Run, don't walk, away from this vet clinic who clearly does not care for the well-being and health of animals.

The staff at Creekside Animal Hospital was AMAZING! Dr. Shelby Hixon cried with me and when we left I felt like I had a friend standing with me during the whole thing. Since then we have got a new fur baby. The staff at Creekside has been amazing and I couldn't ask for better customer service. My puppy has never felt nervous going in there, in fact she gets excited to see all her friends. I feel very blessed to be a customer at Creekside Animal hospital. They feel like family.

My family came to Creekside Animal Hospital to board our 6 year old Shih Tzu for 10 nights. They…read morerequired a health check up before boarding since this wasn't our normal vet. Dr Dane pointed out that our dog had some teeth that needed immediate attention ( we were unaware her teeth were in that condition ) and could be done during her stay. My moms dog also was being boarded along with ours. I called daily to check in on her and every time they responded " she's doing great and she's eating ". The staff called after her surgery to let us know she made it out and did great while under. Monday afternoon we picked up my dog along with my moms and they looked "drugged'. After arriving home both dogs attached their food bowls and couldn't get enough. I noticed my dog had lost a good amount of weight...but was told she was eating!!! The next day my dog fell ill- she couldn't walk, eat, drink and didn't look herself. I know she had teeth removed but this didn't add up. We brought her back to Dr Dane and was told she had Aspiration pneumonia and could've gotten it while staying there or due to surgery! This is definitely NOT what you want to hear after just spending $$ on the stay and mouth surgery. They sent us home with meds and another bill. Our dog kept getting worse; not eating ( she had already lost weight from the boarding ) couldn't stand or walk and just layed there. We felt a 2nd opinion was in her best interest; it was confirmed she has Aspiration Pneumonia and needed medical attention. She had to stay onsite to receive IVs and meds for 2 days!!! Fast forward to today..she is recovering thankfully and is slowly gaining weight back. This is going to be a slow road to recovery!! Be cautious when taking your loved furr baby here!!!!!!!!!!

I am displeased now with the continuance of "pandemic" protocols of not allowing clients inside the building after 2 YEARS. The windows are now covered as well - its beginning to look like an illicit business of some sort. The business & the building wouldn't be there without the clients but we aren't allowed inside? Come on man! I don't want to change vets but it appears that will be the route.
