Then to top it of the President calls the cops and CPS and tells Cops and CPS false information. The cops and CPS Said that the accusation were unfounded. This is not leadership. Then even better the VP and the head player agent have their kids playing PONY. What's that about?? Then there was parent who can't afford the fees but was willing to volunteer hours to pay for the fee but once again they keep turning away kids. It's that right? But all board members get their fees for free and get free all star uniforms... It's say now how adults can take away from the kids and give to there our kids. Stay away until leadership changes. I look in the mirror and I'd be ashamed of myself if I was this league knowing that there's kids in other states that only wish they had half as good as weather is we have yet you guys close the fields because there's one raindrop or one tiny little puddle somewhere this is ridiculous..

My daughter was interested in competing in sparring on the national level so we switched from our previous school since they focused on team competitions. We have been very happy with Sparks since switching. It is very community focused and feels like a family not just a studio. Everyone is very welcoming and you can truly tell that Master Jef and Miss Amy and all the coaches really care about the athletes. Its a good balance of hard work, discipline, and fun. We are looking forward to a long relationship with Sparks.

It has been amazing to watch his growth, and much of that is because of Master Jef's unique way of teaching. He instills discipline and respect while keeping classes fun, engaging, and full of humor for the kids. Beyond the classes, Sparks also hosts gatherings throughout the year such as summer picnics and Christmas parties. These events help build genuine connections between students and parents, making everyone feel welcomed and included. We truly found a community here. You can clearly see the values Master Jef teaches reflected in his students. They are always respectful, greeting parents with "ma'am" and "sir." Even the higher belts and black belts treat the lower belts with kindness, fairness, and encouragement--no one gets left behind. Sparks is more than just a Taekwondo studio--it's a family, and we are so grateful to be part of it.

After the first day, my 8-year-old son was so excited he talked about the camp all the way home. My teenage boy acted like a teenager and said "its cool." The best part about the Brusa volleyball program is how the coaches and staff members interact with all the kids at all ages. The ownership did a phenomenal job putting together a great coaching staff. My 8 year old son is now part of the Future Star Program and the excitement has continued to grow everyday. Thank you BRUSA!

Unfortunately, after the season began & commitments were signed, the coaches ultimately decided not pursue USA Nationals despite our understanding that it was a possibility communicated to families if the team earned a bid. Throughout the season, we found that asking respectful questions about athlete development, practice structure, and team plans was often met with avoidance & defensiveness rather than open communication. As parents, we believe questions should be welcomed and addressed professionally. As the season progressed, we experienced increasing communication difficulties, inconsistent expectations, and what we felt was a lack of transparency regarding decisions affecting our daughter. When we attempted to work through concerns with club leadership, we did not feel they were meaningfully resolved. Ultimately, our daughter was removed from the team with only two tournaments remaining, which was devastating to our athlete & has affected her desire to continue the sport. Every family's experience may be different, and many athletes may have positive experiences here. However, we encourage prospective families to ask detailed questions before committing, including: - How decisions regarding USA Volleyball Nationals are made and communicated. - How parent concerns are handled. - What the process is for resolving disagreements with coaches. - How athlete development opportunities are managed when concerns arise. Our hope in sharing this review is not to discourage athletes from pursuing volleyball, but to encourage transparency and communication so other families can make informed decisions. We sincerely wish all of the athletes the best and hope every player has a positive and supportive club experience.

There is a genuine sense of community, connection, and support, not just within individual teams, but across the entire club. FIGS is intentional about providing athletes with high-quality coaches who bring collegiate-level and international playing and coaching experience, but what makes those coaches truly special is the personal connection they build with their athletes. They know their players, they believe in them, and they push them to grow. We have watched our daughter develop tremendously as a volleyball player, but the growth that matters most to us goes far beyond volleyball skills. FIGS has helped her develop confidence, perseverance, mental toughness, and the ability to work through challenges instead of backing away from them. There is something special about being part of a club where teams show up for one another and athletes know they are part of something bigger than themselves. We are incredibly grateful for FIGS, the coaches who invest so much in these athletes, and everything this club has done for our daughter. We could not be happier to be part of the FIGS family!

I would say many if not most consider similar criteria such as great coaches, wins, cost, location and culture. Let me start off by saying-- Our daughter has learned and developed more at FIGS in ONE year than 4 years at any other club thanks to Juanchi and Caitlyn! FIGS is NOT about "how many people can I pack into my club and take club fees and move on." They are very family oriented and care about the players. Not only do they take the time to get to know the girls but the parents as well. I love that they actually care about the players improving their volleyball skills and working with the players to meet their goals- not just letting them make the same mistakes over and over. The facility has everything a player needs to be a great volleyball player including top elite coaching and an amazing culture. It seemed like finding a club that didn't have drama or a toxic culture wouldn't be possible until we met Juanchi. FIGS was highly recommended to us by friends for a while, and I'm glad we finally found our volleyball home. I could go on forever about all the great things this club has to offer. You couldn't find a better club than FIGS and their coaches. They are a very honest and straightforward volleyball club. There's no gimmicks or distractions. You're there to work with the best, be the best and play against the best! They have such amazing credentials and professional background in all their areas of expertise-- you won't be disappointed and happy that at the end of the season you have money and time well spent and not just a tournament T shirt and an empty bank account. FIGS is the place if you're looking for the best... otherwise move over-- our girls have work to do.
