I made an appointment on Monday and scheduled it for Wednesday at 5:00 PM. My hair dresser was Monica. I showed her what I wanted then she began the process. She washed my hair, started cutting my hair, dried it, cut more, then straightened it. Throughout the process, she was very sweet. There was a little bit of a language barrier, but I really enjoyed conversing with her. There was a short period of time when she asked me if I could give her 10 minutes because another client came in. To be honest, I was a tad nervous when the other client walked in because the reviews said that they start rushing which messed some things up, but luckily, Monica took her time. I was not in a rush, so I did not mind her helping another client. I'm glad she asked rather than rushing. I haven't gotten my hair professionally cut in ages. I'm very happy with the decision I made and I really liked Monica as well as the other hairdressers. Today was my first time visiting the salon, and I got my hair done by Alex! I wanted my hair just below my shoulders and layered with face-framing bangs since I was pretty tired of my long hair, which had grown out during the pandemic. The salon was very clean, and the staff was super friendly :") (I had to reschedule my haircut twice due to weather, and they were really sweet despite all my calls ^^) Alex cut and styled my hair exactly like the pictures I showed him. This haircut is definitely the most perfect haircut I've gotten in my life (not exaggerating). I have pretty thick hair, and he thinned it out for me, which I am very thankful for. I've been going to this salon for a year now and Alex always does a great job! I drive 1hr from Fort Worth to here for a haircut every time and it's always worth it. Although Alex is not fluent with English, he tried his best to communicate to the best of his ability and does a great job from just a photo reference. I hesitate to leave a negative review, but my experience at Muse Salon has significantly declined over time. I used to enjoy going to this salon, but lately there have been concerning issues that make me question what is happening behind the scenes. Twice now, my appointments have been cancelled at the last minute with little explanation. This is very frustrating. Earlier this year, I had an appointment scheduled right before an overseas trip (I even had the paper appointment reminder), yet when I called to confirm I was told the appointment didn't exist. Situations happen, but they're becoming more the norm and not an aberration. Additionally, stylist turnover seems extremely high. The last two stylists I saw - who did fantastic work - have already left Muse after very short tenures. As someone in management, frequent employee departures are red flags that often signal problems with company culture or operations. I wish I could provide a more positive testimonial for Muse as I used to like it. However, the appointment issues and high turnover have made me rethink any loyalty I once felt. I hope they can remedy these problems, as no one wants to see a local business struggle. For now, I must take my services elsewhere to find the consistency and reliability I expect. read more

The haircuts are ok. Lots of turnover so I go in and just hope whoever cuts my hair is decent. Probably will not come back since they keep raising their prices! In December 2023, I paid $40 plus tip for a haircut. Next haircut in the spring was $45 plus tip. My haircut in August 2024 was $55 plus tip!! I came here on a whim, because the salon I was looking at didn't have openings for a color and highlight and trim. I called the day of, and Muse salon was accommodating enough to squeeze me in. I came in and my stylist was Michelle. She was super sweet and made sure to ask what I wanted and how I wanted it. I asked for a dark brown base and highlights. My hair was very damaged and light, and she made sure to show me the color that would look the best on my complexion. After we dyed my hair, I think there was misunderstanding that I wanted highlights too because I had a picture and it seemed like I was wanting the color only. Michelle was very enthusiastic about it, and I even accidentally stayed after the store closed, but she was professional and still very friendly. My hair ended up taking 3 hours. The cost wasn't super expensive, but it was to be expected. I have long hair and was quoted 150-170. I paid a little more than that but maybe it was because my hair was longer than usual and thicker than usual. My hair ended up looking healthy and amazing and I know quality products are used. I also was offered a tea, water, or another refreshment which was very nice. read more

I am very satisfied with the whole experience from phone call appointment to in hair salon experience. This is my first time visit Muse hair and I ask some of my friend's recommendation on stylist. I called in to make an appointment with Monica based on a friend's suggestion and got a spot one week later on Friday since they told me not to walk-in on the weekend due to full schedule. I came in and told Monica I want to get rid of 5 inches of dead-ends. She also mentioned my hair is too dry but didn't force any hair treatment service on me. We agreed on length and layers and they also included hair wash and blow dry. This is the reason I preferred hair salon over family style. Customers got shampoo, haircut and blow dry in hair salon. Some family stylist don't shampoo your hair and the haircut doesn't look as good. Although Monica speaks limited English but she explained things pretty well and told me to do hair treatment at home to repair dry hair before I pay. read more

I asked for a little trim with inner layer (which they probably have no idea what is), and mentioned a few times that I needed my hair to look less thick and puffy. They did very chunky top layers to even worsen aka add width to my heart face shape (wide short forehead/cheekbone). Overall, it almost looks like I have a lob and then a bob on top of it. The service was okay. It felt rushed, and I was charged $27 for a choppy job. I am too embarrassed to go back. Just felt like the guy didn't care to do a good job. I had great experiences before with the women that have cut my hair. They took their time and blended my hair. I just want to say that I am blown away by the service here! I first called around 12pm on a Saturday and I was told the next appointment was at 4:15 pm. No big deal. When I arrived I was very nervous, mostly because I have had bad experiences before due to stylists not fully understanding how my thick, wavy hair would respond to hair cuts. But not this time! It is true what other commenters have said- I got Diana and she is SO sweet! She knows what she is doing and gave me all kinds of tips and recommendations. For years I got layered hair cuts because I believed that was the best style for my thick, wavy hair, but she recommended a "textured" hair cut- and I am so glad I agreed. When she was done, I looked like a model with my shiny silky hair (Diana did also straighten my hair). So for the price of $35, not only did I get a very professionally done hair cut, I got my hair washed beforehand, blow dried, straightened and styled. When my boyfriend saw the end result, he was shocked when he learned Diana didn't put extra products in my hair- it was shiny on its own. Just look at the "After" photo below and see for yourself. I've avoided Asian salons just because almost every one of them in my past experience (e.g., Atlanta and Orange County) would thin out your layers so much that you come out wearing a mullet. Monica is professional knowledgeable and highly skilled. The outcome always turns out to be great. I usually get balayage with a haircut. Monica uses professional products for color dye that do not damage your hair easily. She also gives an honest opinion in which hair color and hairstyle suit me the best. My whole family is a customer of this hair salon. We've been coming here over a year now, and we don't plan on trying out a different hair salon! Update: Monica did it again!!! Love this place and Monica :) I feel like I'm cheating on my old hairstylist but looking this good for the price, I don't feel too bad! Monica gave me a cut and squeezed me in as I compulsively wanted to do a digital perm as well. The whole thing took 2.5 hrs and I LOVE my hair!!! She did an amazing job, you can see she puts care into her work and really loves what she does. She doesn't rush but is efficient.
