She washed my hair, started cutting my hair, dried it, cut more, then straightened it. Throughout the process, she was very sweet. There was a little bit of a language barrier, but I really enjoyed conversing with her. There was a short period of time when she asked me if I could give her 10 minutes because another client came in. To be honest, I was a tad nervous when the other client walked in because the reviews said that they start rushing which messed some things up, but luckily, Monica took her time. Honestly, it is the shortest and ugliest haircut I have ever had, and I deeply regret going to this place. My point is this: if you cannot give your customers your full attention or provide good service, then don't accept the appointment--especially when customers are paying full price + tip. Later that evening, I discovered that another $50 cancellation fee had been charged to my credit card. At that point, I disputed both charges with my credit card company. The haircut itself was good, and I have no complaints about the barber. the problem stems from Jolee who cancels without any authorization even if you call to verify. My concern is with how the cancellation fees were handled. Based on my experience, I recommend that anyone booking online carefully review the cancellation policy and monitor their credit card statements for any charges. The TCD could be involved if it does not get resolved.

I showed her a picture of what I wanted - pretty straight blunt cut and she shrugged and told me she would be taking around 3 inches off. I was ok with that. She then told me i had a lot of grey. I had intentionally not colored my hair before the visit because I was hoping to talk to my hairdresser about options for color at a future appointment. I was obviously not coming back to her after the way she treated me in the first 10 minutes of our visit. My haircut is ok. I can't do much with my bang area because she cut it as blunt as my long pieces. I am aware of my thinning, grey hair. I would have liked someone to help me figure out how to best take care of it and maybe be a bit kind with the comments.
