So I was a newbie wanting to get my second tat done because the one place I usually would go to is in browns mills and it was too far so I wanted to get a little half sleeve done with half dollar sized roses and little petals, and so I put a $50 deposit down knowing my stupid ass self can't get that back, and then the guy who was gonna do me said that the original price is about $180-$200 so I said cool I'll be back so when I had asked him a week later if he could take me earlier he said sure, and then he bumped up the price of my tattoo to almost $300 keep in mind I'm young asf I'm only 19 and I'm not happy with these people!! I went to Muse for my first tattoo ever. I was fairly nervous about the pain but had a piece that was really important to me: Upper arm, family crest, with old English style lettering, yellow roses and some (hopefully) cool moderation to the eagle on my family's shield. All of it in honor of my mom who passed away from Ovarian cancer. I got there and found a very clean store. I wasn't there for the art gallery part, but I remember there being some interesting pieces all the same. The owner made me feel comfortable and welcome while the artist was prepping her station. I was one of the first appointments of the day, but everyone seemed to have their stuff together. Then for the actual sitting and tattooing. It was a 3 1/2 hour session to do outlining and color (about 4 different colors total). The whole time, my artist, Shanrock, was listening to me about the pain (which was far less than I had expected) and that I was comfortable. It truly did not feel like a full 3 1/2 hours sitting, it flew by. Reasonably priced for amazing work that has since healed beautifully. Friends of mine have gotten worse tattoos for more money and have been blown away by the way it has healed and the colors stayed so well. It is a piece that I am proud to show off, because of Muse. read more

I've never heard of paying an obscene amount of money (in total-not even asking for deposit) BEFORE your work was completed? Solely for the fact that they don't care about the work the give you "so if they mess up or you don't like it oh well, Youre sh*t outta luck that's what we do here" quoted by ADAM the manager. JOE called me obscene names IN FRONT of other customers because I demanded paperwork (a simple receipt) for my charge and refund of the tattoo I never received but was charged in full before he even "set up" his station. he couldn't provide it so instead called me "annoyingl" and a "dumb b*tch" among other obscenities because I asked for a receipt because I do not believe they were issuing me a refund to quote Adam "you're not getting your money back" this is yes, the manager/owner "man in charge". 4x6 inch piece 300 dollars. Seriously overpriced and charged in full before they start solely because they don't care if it turns out well or not cause they got their money already right.....? Unprofessional. Rude. I even gave them a second chance after five years claiming they wouldn't tattoo my finger , yet I got it done twenty minutes later at another shop. They're obviously not good enough to do minimalistic tattoos and not to be trusted by their "work" if they will charge you obscenely first and then tell you "oh f*cking well" if it sucks and you hate it they don't care. I can not recommend Branden the body piercer enough. Not only is he super nice, super professional and just an all around cool dude, he's got the patience of a saint. It was my first time at Muse.I had to take out all of my piercings (15) to get an MRI. So I ordered retainers on Amazon and went to Branden the day of the MRI so he could take them out and put the retainers in. Some of these piercings have literally been in for over 25 years. Well 2 of them wouldn't come out. I even tried at home with pliers before I went. He took his time taking the ones out that would come out, then he took a long time, very patiently, to try to get the 2 out. He literally had to cut them. Cut them...I felt so bad that it was a struggle for him. The entire time I was having anxiety, but he kept cool, sweet and professional. He really eased my anxiety, he was not upset, or angry, had no attitude and he didn't give up. I know some people would've told me, they couldn't get them out i'm outta luck. But not him. He got me all set and I went to the MRI, then had to go back so he could put all my jewelry back in. He made a not so pleasant experience much better for me, and that means a ton.We will absolutely be back soon to get more piercings. He is awesome, and Muse is super lucky to have him! I'm recommending him to anyone that has any piercing needs. read more

The environment is comfortable and very chill, allowing customers to relax before and during getting their work. The pricing of tattoos as well as other items (tattoo care) are extremely fair. The artists are all very enjoyable to be around and provide amazing work. They are willing to work with customers and give the best design, as well as make the process as smooth and comfortable as possible. I am already planning to get several more tattoos done here. I got my first (what I consider 'real' piercing aka not ear lobes!) piercings ear, I got both my nipples done in May for my 18th birthday. Kite is a super awesome guy, and he and his assistant took great care of me, even when I passed out due to the heat and blood sugar drop! My piercings are lovely and they offer to switch them out for non-piercing jewelry in the three weeks after I got them done for me for free since that's the last of the initial healing, and I decided to wait a while and do it myself (I was very successful- much easier than I expected!). I had an awesome experience and I'm planning to go back and use the coupon that they generously sent me recently to get my septum pierced!
