Update: My friend had some issues with her ears healing and is back to her "training earrings" after a trip to see Madison. The problem was nothing to do with the piercer. Got a new tattoo the other day and love it. The tattoo artist took my general idea, made something unique for me to consider, took some critiques from me to make it more to my liking, and came up with a final design we both really liked. Everyone was polite, patient, and professional. When it came time to do the tattoo, the artist told me what was going on at each step and I was comfortable with the while process. While I was waiting I had a chance to talk to the owner, who was also very nice. She runs a great shop. Clean, professional, good feedback on how to care for your new tattoo and the offer to come back and get it touched up at no cost for 3 months AFTER you let it heal for 30 days. Larissa Dilts should be ashamed of herself and doesn't deserve a business that seems to have such good reviews. I arrived 5 minutes after my designated appointment to see the piercer moved on to the next customer. When the issues began it was six minutes after and she had assumed we were not making our appointment and stated that was why. She claims to be a mother of adopted children yet made myself as a stepmother and my 15 soon to be 16-year-old stepdaughter feel like worthless abandoned and that our relationship is futile. I am her guardian in all respects my husband and I have full custody and I take my stepdaughter to all of her appointments I'm on all of her legal documents except for her birth certificate since she did not come out of my uterus. Today we went to Larissa's establishment so that my daughter could have her nose piercing changed to a different piece of jewelry... No new piercings just simply change it this is a no cost service the piercer would've made tip money and the store would have made money on the retail sale of a piece of jewelry they probably purchase for a third of what they are charging. Because my name is not on her birth certificate it did not matter to Larissa that I am her stepmother and that my identification shows the same last name as both mother father and child. When I began to get upset she decided that I was in the wrong for being upset. Of course I am upset this is my stepdaughter who I care for in every aspect of life and because I'm not on her birth certificate I am somehow not her guardian you are somehow going to justify that insurance is really the reason for not changing a piece of jewelry. Again remember this is not for a new piercing this is strictly for changing a piece of jewelry. My daughter called and made the appointment herself was given instructions to bring her birth certificate her school ID and a parent with a drivers license it never would've crossed her mind that this would have occurred or that I am not her parent and that they would have had an issue with that since our legal documents match names. I don't care if this is the best shop on the planet Larissa should be ashamed of herself and anyone who goes to this establishment after reading this review should also feel that way. read more

Absolutely welcoming atmosphere. I got my nostril pierced by Larissa. They answered all my questions via email beforehand and made me very relaxed and comfortable. She took her time choosing the right jewelry for me and was very professional during the actual piercing. She was very thorough with the disinfection process, and also wore a mask. I love that I was able to lie down and relax while closing my eyes (in case I pass out ;). The best part was that she talked through the process while she was doing the piercing. No clamping of the nostril (I heard others do that and it hurt more than the piercing) and they used a flat back (Labret) stud - exactly what I wanted. If I could give this shop more than five stars, I most certainly would! From start to finish, I can't say enough great things about Serenity Body Arts! I sent a text to get some basic information and received a response within 10 minutes (and this was sent in the later part of the evening). I brought two of my granddaughters in for their appointment, and Larissa explained everything to them, with patience and warmth. It was a first time piercing for one of the girls, and Larissa really helped to calm her fears. Both girls (and their parents and me) were extremely happy with the results. Unfortunately, a week later, there was an earring malfunction and one earring broke- of course it happened to the one who was a 1st timer. Her dad texted Larissa on Christmas Eve around 11PM as they didn't know what to do and Larissa texted him back within minutes. Talk about customer service!! Between her father and me, we ended up texting Larissa at least three more times, and each time, she responded so quickly and told us what to do. She calmed all of us! In August I had my forward helix pierced at another shop. The piercing wasn't healing well, so I wanted to change the earring. I called Serenity to make an appointment and they were so pleasant. I showed up for my appointment and Madison greeted me super warmly. She was really helpful throughout the entire process. My husband and I each have 2 tattoos from this shop, and I have to say, this place is pretty awesome! The first tattoos we ever got we got here, after I had researched everything I could about the owners/artists and their work. I accompanied my boyfriend here last weekend so he could get his nips pierced, and they did a fabulous job! Having the piercings myself, I could appreciate the process. Piercer/owner Larissa really did everything she could to set my boyfriend at ease. She explained every step of the process as she did it and was incredibly thorough and professional. This place is a little over a half an hour far away from my house. After searching constantly for a nice piercing place this one really caught my eye. Everyone in the business is amazing, some of the nicest souls you'll ever meet. they are very informative about whatever you're getting done and the after care and stuff. It's just genuinely such a nice place. I feel very safe there and I feel like I'm in excellent hands. Definitely one of the more professional places but also not too professional to where u may be uncomfortable. this is the only place I go to and I don't plan on changing that. I made a appointment yesterday with the owner, she told me that i need my birth certificate and a form of id. I am 15 almost 16 years old because of that she told me i needed my parent/guardian and their id. On the website it states that there is a 5 minute grace period. We arrived exactly 5 minutes late because of traffic. when i walked in the piercer was already helping another client. When we stated that we were here she said that because we are 6 minutes late and did not call she moved on. After we showed them all the documentation they immediately lost their minds. We explained to them that my stepmother is my legal guardian and is the woman i live with. I call her mom, she is on all of my paperwork ect. It made me feel horrible that they wouldn't let me simply change out my nose piercing because my mom isn't the same person who gave birth to me. As a child this is very upsetting because she is the one who takes care of me and has legal guardianship of me. read more
