My two sons and my daughter take voice lessons from Ms. Grace Buford. She is amazing!!! I can't…read moresay enough good about her. She is very talented in her style of teaching- my kids really respect her. She has a beautiful voice and knows how to bring out the best voice in her students. My oldest son, 16, is very talented on piano and loves to perform, but would never practice on his own. Now, Ms. Grace is teaching him a whole new way to work from chords and interpret the music- he is finding a new love for the piano and practicing on his own! Yes, you did read correctly, she is their voice teacher and a great one, but she is so much more. She didn't want his talent in piano to be lost and got him playing while he sings- making Dad, Mom & Nana quite happy!!! My daughter, 13, has a naturally beautiful voice, but has really blossomed under the training of Ms. Grace. It turns out that the voice training has also been wonderful for my daughter's overall confidence. She also mentioned to Ms. Grace that she had a guitar, but had never learned to play. Of course, Ms. Grace now is teaching her guitar too. My youngest son, 11, has disabilities that affect his speech. One day he told me he wanted to take voice lessons too. I approached Ms. Grace about it, and she said "yes" without hesitation. He is definitely improving and I believe it is also helping his speech. His confidence is also on the rise as Ms. Grace is always proud of him and he just loves her. Our family feels very blessed to have found Ms. Grace and the Gwinnett School of Music!

Everyone else that works there is very nice and there are so many opportunities to learn new instruments or perfect an old one with all the teachers there. I love it there and it's definitely worth the money

I'm a local client of the St. Petersburg shop…read more After a fine first experience (Ron responded promptly to my voicemail, and then quickly replaced my violin's tailpiece and adjusted my soundpost and bridge), my 2nd and 3rd outreaches to him were utter fails. I mean, no response to my phone calls at all. I left another voicemail a week later, and an assistant whom I'd not seen or heard of before, responded (but was unaware and unconcerned about the previous lost call). Ironically, the about-face in Ron came after my expressing an interest in working for him as office manager or assistant there, after seeing how challenged he was overseeing multiple shops, and more, across the Southeast. After all, I'd just left behind lifelong close relationships with a couple violin shops back in California, being a lifelong professional violinist and also a retired financial client manager, who specialized in delivering customer service, including to difficult or high net worth clients. I'm unpleasantly surprised that this shop, so promising at first and so convenient for my needs (as it's only a 6-7 minute drive from home) won't work for me, after all. I'll drive all the way to another violin shop in Tampa for my future violin needs, as they have been responsive, helpful and even proactive in serving me thus far.

Great treatment from all luthiers. I'm very happy with the advice I got and the purchase. I was…read morenervous to buy a new violin at first, but it was a wonderful experience at Ronald Sachs.

I first visited this coin store about 3 years ago to sell some coins. I've been back a couple times…read moreto ask some questions about some old paper bank documents I bought and to get some advice on estate jewelry. The gentleman who runs the store is very nice & knowledgeable. He is a very honest person who runs his shop the "old school" way & that's the best way for a collector's shop. I've bought some cool coins here for birthday gifts (depends on the person, but for some people it can be nice to give a coin or something made the same year the person was born); Also, I bought an ancient coin with Caesar on it (please no smart a$$ remarks about that being made the year *I* was born!) If US Civil War is your thing, you'll find antique money and railroad bonds & certificates, that sort of thing. Some people collect railroad history stuff. I think you will be surprised at how interesting the items in this coin store are. There is a coin from just about anywhere you can imagine. A friend from Jamaica might love some Jamaican currency (you can take it elsewhere and get it framed if you want a nicer presentation.) People also like to buy the various certificates and frame them just for home or office decor. I bought my son a 1 lb bag of assorted coins for $8.95 & the two of us had fun going through those. Curiosity gets the better of a kid & once he/she starts going through the coins, something will be learned. Coins show leaders, historic dates & events, industries, musical instruments, animals & more. You or your kids might want to look up the coins online to research values of the coins. This store sells the coin holders that are cardboard with a little plastic window so you can protect the coins in your collection from wear. You can also write information about the coin on the holder. Anyway, check it out sometime. Tips: You'll need to stand at the door and be buzzed in. It is just a safety measure. He often has some really nice promotional items you get with a purchase.
