As a preface, I am a huge supporter and fan of local theater, all my life really. I have found…read morethat even the not-great shows ("Mother Courage and Her Children, I'm talking about you) the energy and passion that local productions brings to the stage is wonderful. I came to visit DCP Theatre because one of my dear friends was directing a play there, and one of my favorite sequined jackets was making it's theatrical debut in her play. Yes, I gave a big round of applause for that jacket. The theater itself is decently sized, with a large flat gravel parking lot, a cute lobby and comfortable seating. I don't think there's a bad seat in the house. The volunteers were to a person friendly and accommodating, and the 'snack bar' of home-made and packaged goods was reasonably priced. It's an older building, which they've been working to restore and upgrade with the funds they earn producing plays, holding raffles, etc. The play itself was funny, well directed (yes I am biased here), and a good pace. It never dragged, the actors were wonderful and I had a great time. I'm looking forward to visiting again soon.

The parking situation was probably the most disappointing, on the website and in person they are very shady about where you can park. The theater itself does not have parking, and you are allowed to park in a no parking zone...supposedly. We were fortunate enough to come outside and no ticket or broken windows (large signs in theater warn you about leaving valuables in your car). Overall, I think I will run the risk of parking violation to enjoy the theater events again. I can't wait to come see an actual play, considering the audience gets to sit so close to the stage. New Hope has some of the most haunted sightings and buildings in a 2 square block and in the country. ( The tours are every Saturday night from the first Saturday in June up to and including the Saturday before Thanksgiving. In the month of "October only" you can also find tours on a Friday night besides the usual Saturday night. The tours start at 8p and meet on the corner of Main and Ferry Street next to the Parry Mansion Museum. You don't need a reservation. I just walked up and there were two ladies taking money and giving out a paid sticker. Then you just line up with the rest of the tour people. PLEASE BRING CASH! They will also do private tours with advanced notice. My group had over 30 people in it. I suggest getting there at least 30-40 minutes before. The cost is $12. The tour itself is about an hour. Make sure you wear a sturdy pair of shoes. You will be walking down stairs and on dirt paths, and near a canal. These tours have been going on for over 42 years. New Hope has such a fun vibe. Everyone was excited for this tour. Parking in New Hope is a bit tricky. If you can't find street parking, I suggest parking a few blocks away in one of several lots. You will do a lot of walking in New Hope. The Staff was all very friendly, knowledgeable and informative. I would definitely recommend this tour.

She made it while she was pregnant with Suleika. And did the same show we see daughter Suleika living through her illness with leukemia. See the two women going through life and their wonderfully creative way. The ups and the uncertainties and pain, but all along and together. It really was beautiful . How wonderful the mother and introduced her daughter to the art of Frida Kahlo. A wonderful inspiration. it's wonderful how women can support each other and empower each other and so many ways. It really was beautiful to witness ! It's hard to say my favorite part of that particular exhibit. Maybe with Suleika and her dog laying in bed together. The beautiful comfortably get from pets and those around us. And the things around us like art and nature. Just having an appreciation for these things and finding comfort as much as possible. I can see there was a pig figure... And the results of a previous event to draw this pig . And it's obvious that people sat different positions around the pig. I enjoyed seeing all angles. All the different charming styles by local people who happen to attend. What is delightful place. So much so , I can't wait to come back !!

The chairs in the orchestra section are a bit small, but pretty typical for a theater. We sat in the first two rows, which gave us plenty of space to move around and stand up when we wanted. It cost a little extra, but the added room was worth it. Parking was a big plus--there's a lot right next to the theater, and it was free. For refreshments, they only offered water and bags of chips, so nothing substantial. I'd definitely recommend having lunch or dinner before the show since there aren't any real food options inside. The bathroom, located in the basement, reminded me of my old elementary school. The performance itself was great, and everything went smoothly. I hope Thomas Anders returns because I'd definitely come back. This venue is far better than The Ritz in Elizabeth, where he performed the past two years on tour.

First time attending a concert here so I didn't know what to expect…read more Parking is across the street and it fills up quickly so make sure to arrive early as it is a first come, first dib with parking space. There's no parking fee which is a huge plus in my book! The restrooms are down in the basement. It's small and dingy so I'd advise to use it as soon as you enter because there will be a line with the ladies. There's no bar stand so to buy any snacks and drinks, pay up at the entrance. The line and seatings are a bit disorganized but it's minor issue. People tried to get sneaky and sit whenever because no one checked tickets inside until the real seat purchaser shows up and kick them out. I got seatings in the orchestra second row from the stage and it was perfect! Not only am I close the band and artist performing but I sat in more comfortable seats, leg space and room to get up and dance. The first two rows are sectioned out away from the back row seatings and that was the best! I'm short and always dislike the feeling when people, especially taller people, are crowding me and standing right behind breathing on my back. With the way how sections are divided, they had to stand back! Kudos to the security guards for approaching ticket owners from the back rows for trying to come up front. Yes, these sneaky concert goers were removed from approaching the side of the first two rows. Some people just have no shame but hey, we got the last laugh when they were told to leave.
