Nice enough people, no issues there. Rented a student instrument based on local school recommendation. The instrument would've cost me around $1000 once the contract was fulfilled (and I would've owned the instrument). Knowing a little bit about musical instruments, I started wondering just what the real value of this item was. After a day of reading forums, Ebay searches, and then getting an informal appraisal from an unrelated local store, I found out this item was maybe worth 1/3rd of that. Additionally, another repair shop informed us that this unit had bugs(!) in it, and showed us the carcasses in the case. They felt it needed close to $300 worth of repairs to be playable due to the bugs that had been eating the felt and pads. They remarked that it appeared to have been in storage for a long time to get in this condition. My home is spotless, but this instrument is over 50 years old. Silly me for being so trusting and not doing my homework. I got this filthy thing out of my home, and went and bought a brand new item from a more reputable establishment, and ironically, for less money. Most importantly, the new instrument plays like a dream, my student loves it, and is over the moon with how much easier it is to play. Do your homework folks, and don't take the first recommendation you get from the local band teachers. read more

I left a message to setup drum lessons for my son. My call was returned promptly and he was scheduled to start within a few days. Everyone I have spoken with has been helpful. We enjoy our time there. Two weeks later I decided to start piano lessons. It has been an excellent experience all the way around. This place is amazing! We are new to the area and went to see what kind of shopping places are in our community. As soon as we walked in we were greeted with all kinds of smiles. Not sure who was who, it was very busy, but some were sales people, teachers and even customers. Just a very friendly atmosphere. The prices were very decent. I'm considering playing either guitar or drums, and my husband is wanting to play jazz piano or clarinet. There was no pressure to decide right then. Who knows, we might play more than one instrument, it would give us a good reason to keep going back! If you are a musician, you need to go here! I recently purchased a Korg C1 Air piano and the sales staff was so accommodating. They offered to deliver the Piano up a flight of stairs in my music studio. Our twins haven't stopped playing since. They are currently enrolled in music lessons with Kyle Shook and will soon expand to trombone lessons with Steve the owner. The lessons are up beat and allows the kids to progress extremely fast. I couldn't recommend the music scene enough. They are simply the best. read more
