My three year old son, Ezra started going to Music Tree when he was 18 months old for the Music in Motion class and Parent and Me Preschool. I have seen Ezra thrive because his teacher, Ms. Stephanie has been fun, engaging, knowledgeable, patient, kind and loving. She would bring out different instruments and props during the class for each song as well as had creative monthly themes that pair with the seasons or holidays. Ezra learned about rhythm, harmony and melodies without even realizing it. Ezra is a very high energy, active toddler and his teacher has been accommodating and supportive in helping him learn how to use his listening ears and sit in a circle. Ms. Stephanie has even let Ezra pick his favorite songs to sing and dance to ensure that he stays actively engaged throughout the class. My son now sings and dances all the time and I attribute his love of music to the foundations that these classes provided. Ezra is now taking First Notes with Ms. Stephanie and I am excited for Ezra to keep blossoming musically under the deep roots she has planted at Music Tree! We learned about Music Tree during the pandemic when nothing was open. We were able to bring our babies to mommy and me and Ms Monica and all the staff were so friendly. Miss Stephanie was an admin role during that class and she was always so welcoming and friendly and very responsive on email/text. We came back for my son for preschool prep and Miss Stephanie was the teacher. She was AMAZING!!! Again, super welcoming and friendly, she had great control of the class yet was always so friendly and understanding with the kids. Great flow to the class and teaches children how to move from one task to another and clean up in between. Best of all the class did what it said and prepared my son for preschool! He started super shy and wouldn't let me leave his side and slowly made improvements and became more confident each week. Yesterday he started preschool and there were no tears and he enjoyed his day! I highly recommend both the baby music classes and the preschool prep!!! My 5 year old has been going to Music Tree for a year now for piano and drum lessons. He is taking one on one classes with Mr. Cedric. He has learned so much and continues to learn every week. Mr. Cedric is great he is patient and really tries to focus on the best way my child can learn. My son can get a little antsy when he's in session, but Mr. Cedric knows how to get him to focus. I really recommend Music Tree, I love this school because it seems that all the teachers have very different personalities and teaching styles which means there is a teacher for everyone! It's obvious that there is a love of music and teaching by their staff. It is a mix of singing, dancing, acting, music, and instruments. The Music Tree is helping our son learn to play the piano. Monica Flores (owner) is amazing, patient, professional, and caring. Our Son (Micah) has Mild Autism so Ms. Flores in the last 4 months has been a gift sent from God. We instantly saw the benefit of him taking piano lessons as he is growing in confidence in his abilities. Ever since the beginning of his lessons, he enjoys singing at home. I would recommend to everyone! After calling around and visiting a number of studios we decided to sign up for Music Tree lessons with Ms. Monica and Ms. Stephanie. Each was outgoing and able to connect with my 13 year old daughter. She felt at ease during the introduction lesson and that showed throughout the one month of lessons. Passionate about music, enthusiastic to work with kids and flexible schedules are just a few good things I can say about Music Tree. Ms. Monica is teaching our child to play piano. After a handful of lessons, he could already read notes and was able to play Happy Birthday for his Dad this month. My only regret is not finding Music Tree sooner! They start teaching kids as young as 4 years old. The other teachers I've met are all very nice and friendly. Ms. Monica genuinely cares about her students and their success. At first, I was pretty happy and impressed with Music Tree. Teachers were happy and excited. My kids were learning, being happy and loved the challenge. Then, after a few months went by, teachers began started class late, ending class early, yawning in class, playing with their dog, babysitting while teaching, changing teachers at the last minute because of double booking, etc. My kids lost interest and it became a chore of going. Just Beware...If you decide on taking your kids there make sure you sit in class or watch the progress of your child's learning closely. read more

I've been taking guitar lessons here with Mr. Juan for about 6 months now. I also attend the Guitar Ensemble class held once a week. I started here with some experience playing the guitar, but no knowledge of music. I was completely clueless to what time signatures were, what a fermata was, or what the differences between tempo and rhythm were. I didn't know the name of the notes, or where to find them on the fret-board. I didn't know anything about major and minor keys. I didn't know...anything, really. Now, I can actually read music! I remember looking at music notation and thinking it looked like a bunch of beautiful jargon - symbols and markings that were too foreign to understand. Now I can look at it, make sense of it, and know that with some practice, I can translate those symbols into sound with the guitar - its amazing! And I owe it to the excellent instruction of Mr. Juan and of course Ms. Monica and Mr. Michael for their insights into Music Theory. Every teacher here is incredible and more than willing to drop some knowledge. You really get the sense that they love what they do and are only trying to help you reach your musical potential. Oh, and there are performances and recitals often! The next one will be the Winter Recital in which I will be playing a classical piece :) Highly recommend this place. read more

I started taking voice lessons from Monica (owner) about a month and a half ago. She's great! Warm, approachable, and knowledgeable. I can't say enough good things about her. Although I'm only taking lessons every other week, I'm already seeing improvements. We have an hour long lesson, and typically do the first half technique and the second half rehearsing a song we picked out together. I'm also periodically taking lessons from her guitar teacher, Casey. He's just as nice to work with, and has a breadth of knowledge as well. I've been self-teaching for a little while, but having him to work with makes progress much smoother. My only complaint is that I can't go enough! If you're looking for any type of instruction, come here and you won't be disappointed! read more
