I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a high quality piece of gear at a competitive price, and with unbeatable customer service.

However, I first called around 9 a.m. No one picked up. They indicated a faster response over email, so I complied. I inquired about the return policy in case their item wasn't compatible with mine (it's online, and pictures only do so much). At this stage, I just needed to get my hands on the item and try it (proprietary design versus proprietary design). The response was similar to what you'd get from a Los Angeles DMV service; unmotivated and passive-aggressive like an ex. While expected from a tired, understaffed customer service representative, this came from sales, haha. It made me snicker; This person is unhappy with their life choices. At the very least, they could've copied and pasted their return policy, but that was too burdensome. **No Google Page = RED FLAG. It's an attempt to hide bad reviews, and it all makes sense now** I'll go with Adorama or B & H because they care about fostering relationships. I'm a Union Cinematographer who owns gear and knows plenty of people who do. I would not recommend them based on their weak service.

One of the frustrating things about getting into something beyond Home Theater in a Box is the barrier to entry. Burt at Seattle Hi-Fi can help you demystify any questions you might have whether you are a novice or interested in bi-amping into a stereo amp bridge to a mono-block. Burt can hang with just about anyone and has the same positive attitude no matter the conversation. One of the key differentiators with Seattle Hi-Fi vs every other company I have done business with is how welcoming they are to your needs AND budget! Any AV shop will cater to your needs if your budget is right. All AV shops can make you feel welcomed if you are spending a huge amount of money. Burt has helped me when I was spending a single digit % of his suggested budget on an item the exact same as when I was spending more than what he suggested! I have felt like an extremely valued customer through every interaction with Burt, regardless of what I needed or what I was spending. Burt has spent time helping me debug problems AFTER the purchase was complete on a new use case I had and just generally is fantastic. Seattle Hi-Fi is my favorite store in the greater Seattle area, and my favorite AV store I have ever been to! Cannot recommend Seattle Hi-Fi enough.

If anything, they've limited sound quality. Seattle HiFi recommended the Niagara 1200, and phoned me when one became available. I was open to looking at the more expensive versions but was persuaded that I really just needed the basic 1200 model. With low expectations, I plugged my gear in. Wow. Immediately heard improvements. Cleaner top end, more detail, better bass definition, and less ear fatigue when listening to digital gear. Color me highly impressed again.

Apparently, they also do a lot of home theater installations in King County so consider them also for home theater installations if you're also speaking with the usual home theater companies in King County. I can recommend Reference Media from two perspectives: 1. They can put together a good sounding system: Believe it or not. stores that carry expensive audio equipment aren't always good at creating systems that sound good. I listened to the Acoustic Signature turntable in their main listening room and it sounded more veiled than I would have expected. The owner knew right away that it was the Pro-ject phono amp that was causing that veiling. To his credit, switching to a digital source through the same system showed that was the case as the same system immediately started sounding pretty epic. 2. They carry a lot of less common audio brands. What initially motivated me to visit Reference Media was that they were a Nottingham Analogue turntable dealer. I've been researching options to upgrade my turntable which has a power supply that is probably overdue to fail. In addition, they also carry Gold Note & Boulder. Though these are more esoteric brands, I would encourage you to visit them even if you have a more reasonable budget. They also carry more mainstream audio brands such as Rega, Marantz, and NAD. I believe a good proportion of their clientele comes from Western Washington University and I am confident that they can put together a great sounding system at more reasonable price points.

The sales rep convinced me to purchase the extend warranty fo an extra $25 which I did. The warranty covers 3 replacements for the headphones. I went in this June to have the headphones replaced as they weren't working. The manager who was very rude said that pair I originally bought were discontinued and I could have a more expensive pair but that I would lose all my warranty. That pair was regularly $140 but were on special that week for $80. If was just buying that pair I would of paid $80 but they said they would not give those as a replacement. I could take a cheaper headset to maintain my warranty. I decided to take the cheaper set as I didn't want to lose the rest of the warranty. They said that they didn't have that set and that I would need to drive to the store at the Cottonwood Mall. The manger there was also extremely rude and unprofessional. When I got home I noticed that the headset was Bluetooth only as my original set was both Bluetooth and plug in direct type this one was not and was worth $50. I had to go back to the store and take the other set and lose all my warranty. I will never buy from this company again. The Managers of both these store were totally unprofessional.
