I've tried pretty much every beer Muskoka Brewery has available in stores and have always been a big fan, especially the Muskoka Cream Ale and Pineapple Ninja Wheat, so we were really excited to finally visit the brewery itself. This is such a cool, relaxed place. We absolutely loved the atmosphere, both inside and outside, and I especially appreciate how dog-friendly it is. Our pups were more than welcome, which always earns bonus points from us! The patio is super chill and has some fun extras like bocce and even a little food truck, although unfortunately the food truck was closed because of the weather during our visit. The staff were also really friendly and welcoming. I ended up getting a pint of their Hibiscus IPA, which is their summer specialty beer, and it was fantastic! Really tasty and refreshing. My only disappointment was that there weren't more specialty beers available to try. Since I've already had most of their regular beers from stores, I was hoping to find several unique taproom-only or seasonal options, but the Hibiscus IPA was the only one available that I hadn't already tried. My wife went with a flight of seltzers, and unfortunately, we weren't huge fans of those. I'm not sure if they were just a little flat during our visit or if that's how they're supposed to taste, but they came across more like mildly flavoured water to us. We'd definitely recommend sticking with the beers! Overall, though, this is a great spot and a must-visit, especially if you've never tried Muskoka Brewery's beers before. Very tasty cream ale. Fun place with lots of outdoor seating in really pretty country. Would go back again when I have more time and people with me. The fire pits look great. Lots of cool merch, too. read more

On our way back from a Muskoka getaway, we made a split-second highway exit kind of decision to stop in here - and it was meant to be. Friday afternoon, approaching 4pm, we parked in the large lot, and had a refreshing sample of Wandr (non-alcoholic sparkling tea beverage) on the way into the main entrance. A brewery tour was just beginning, so we were gratefully whisked into the cool production area behind the shoppe with James, a home-brew maker, beer enthusiast and clear fan of Muskoka Brewery. Tour details: It costs just $5 for about 40 minutes to tour the production site with interesting and surprising details of how this became one of Canada's favourite breweries. No long boring lists of facts and figures. Photos are encouraged, and you'll emerge back into the brew shoppe with a free frosty cold can of the beer that started it all: Muskoka Brewery Cream Ale. Once back in the retail area, you'll find t-shirts, hoodies and hats with the cool northern vibe, and sample anything on the menu. We tried (then bought) gin, Wandr (Lemonade Lemongrass!) and several different craft beers. Though we didn't stay to dine on the large covered patio, we could hear the live music while we shopped, and were surprised at how genuinely helpful and friendly every staff member was. I've been wanting to stop in here for awhile, so when we rented a cottage for Thanksgiving, I was happy to see the brewery was only a 10 minute drive away. They do not take reservations so you have to take a chance on arrival. It was raining here and there so we did have to wait in the store area or in the rain. It was a bit unclear as tables moved around whether we were next in line for a covered spot or not. We decided to suck it up and sit in the mist for a beer. I had the ebb & flow sour beer which I enjoyed! I purchased a beer variety pack as well as some of their canned mimosa beverage - really liked this one! They sell some light snacks which we didn't order but nice to know there's options. The store was cute with a variety of beers and merch for purchase. It's also pet friendly here! read more

We went here on our muskoka vacation. I really like their beers. I think their IPA is one of the best in the Ontario Craft Brew scene. Hoppy, balanced citrusy. It's everything I want in an IPA. My only main issue with this place is that I ordered like two beer, and then suddenly the place was slammed. The line was so long I couldn't get any additional food and it appeared like people were like camping and waiting for tables. I don't know if this is normal on a Saturday, or because it was october fest, but being only able to get one round and pretzels put a damper on my feelings about the bar. They didn't seem to be setup for the volume of people who show up. Otherwise a good experience. read more

This is the first time I visited Muskoka Brewery newest location. I have to say I am so impressed! Love the whole set up: Urban Rustic Cottage Vibe. So much details and care they put in setting up the space and showcasing their beers. A Beer Flight of 3 for $4. With almost all their beers on taps, you can really try out their seasonal offerings. The outdoor seating with the Muskoka chairs and fire pit! I can imagine myself drinking a stout or a winter ale outside with all the snow surrounding me.... Just like in one of the beer commercials! One might think everything is just too commercial. But that's the reality of having a successful revenue generating business need to do. read more

Memories made at Muskoka Brewery! This tap room is a must do in your Muskoka list. The beer is good, we especially enjoyed Yum in the Sun and a limited whit beer available only at the brewery. Indoor and outdoor seating is available and live music is sometimes available. Merchandise abounds from stickers to glasses to swimwear to shirts and hoodies. Service is swift and helpful. Drink a beer onsite and/or buy cans or growlers to take home. Fun for the family! read more

I've enjoyed the Muskoka beers back in Toronto. And when I was up in the Muskoka area with family, had to find time to come check out the brewery in person. The beer, does not disappoint. My family and I decided to hit them up and chose to opt for a flight to try new beers we didn't run into in Toronto. For the location, it was a great location. Has lots of parking, but unfortunately, didn't have a whole lot of seating. We ended up standing outside and enjoying the guitar player on site during the Labour Day weekend. Of course, we felt the holiday weekend was probably filling it up with people, so will have to come back on another non holiday weekend. Seems they have plugs for block heaters for the winter months, makes me think they would be open durj g the colder months. Also need to find out when the brewery tour is so we can catch those as well. Seems they happen on the hour during the early parts of Saturday. But I'll have to fully check the website. read more

We just loved our time here. There are so many varieties of crisp, fresh tasting beers on tap to try. Each one is so different, but they all go down smooth. The decor and accents are so unique to this area of Ontario and and it was a really comfortable spot to enjoy our flights in mini oars. The staff were so friendly and helpful. We stayed much longer than we originally planned to, but we couldn't help it. So glad we made the trip here! And I think the crowds of people who kept coming in felt the same way. read more

Came here with a group of friends (party of 12) and wanted to check out this place while staying at a cottage nearby. The prices that they offer are more or less the same as what we saw at the LCBOs. Wanted to do the tour but it was all booked for the day (slots at 12:30, 1:30 and 2:30 on Sundays) The do have a tasting bar, and a corner section for merchandises. They have a wide variety of beer, from easy drink to bold and hop heavy. The server was kind enough to accommodate us, and give us free samples for tasting, this is nice, especially not all of us are drinkers, have free samples for 1 or 2 oz per flavor is always a welcome gesture. I, myself, picked a flight paddle, which includes any three beers (8 oz each) for $5. 1. Cream Ale This is really light, has a refreshing sweet taste, it's a great compliment for things like fish burgers or a chicken salad. 2.Detour Another light beer, but a strong citrus aroma, like grapefruit, unfiltered, though it says it has the character of an IPA with IBU:30, it certainly doesn't taste like one. However, I really enjoy the fruitiness flavor, I ended up buying a 6-pack bottle 3. Harvest Ale Considered as a strong beer, at 6.7% ABV. This IPA has a unique balance between fruitiness and bitterness, for a Mad Tom lover like myself, this is certainly a pleasant addition to the Muskoka IPA series. Unfortunately, they don't sell in bottles, which is a shame, I would have picked this over the Detour anytime. I took my flights of beer to the patio where they have a variety of Muskoka chairs or bar stools for us to gather around and enjoy the cold beer on a hot summer day. This is a great little spot if you ever find yourself in Ontario Cottage Country. I was with a large group of people (60+ Mini Coopers) and this was the last stop on our 250km rally. We went in late October, leaves were turning and the air was crisp, but the ambiance of Muskoka Brewery made you want to be outside. They had a good amount of Adirondack chairs and fire pits going. Even though I wasn't dressed warm enough, I was still happy to grab a beer and sit outside. The brewery doesn't have a ton of space for seating inside, but to stand and mill around, it was fine by me. They had an ample selection of their beers canned and waiting in coolers to go home with you and a great variety of branded items like shirts, adult onesies, and dog collars. The staff was friendly, but not overly so, and happy to help you find your favorite beer amongst their brews. I would definitely pay Muskoka another visit. read more

Great place to visit in bracebridge. Too bad there were no spots for the tour. But we went for tastings and to support the local beer selection. They had a very nice comfortable patio area where you could get a paddle of 3 beer for $5. The patio had live music with Muskoka chairs and barrel high tables with umbrellas for you to relax and enjoy. They had 8 different types of beer including a special beer of the month: lavender raspberry. Also lots of cute souvenirs for beer lovers like shirts, glasses, etc. read more

I've visited the new location twice and have really enjoyed myself. The first time I paid a visit to this brewery, I tagged along on a tour through the building. I gained a lot of cool knowledge and respect for the Muskoka brand. Both times I had the opportunity of sampling whatever was on tap. The harvest ale became available only three days before my arrival and I thoroughly enjoyed it. There's a cute little patio out front where you can sip on a pint or five. Although it's a bit off the beaten path, I do recommend you make a special trip to visit. read more

The beer is good, and we were happy with the different varieties available. For some reason, the staff were not that keen to help us. As I was walking up to ask for a sample at the sample bar, the staff member walked away without saying anything. Another was on a cell phone.
