When my parcels in North Bay come DHL or UPS they get delivery via Muskoka delivery. One parcel stated out for delivery and then attempted delivery (I was by the kitchen window and nothing) They did not attempt delivery ! The next day they dropped it off and did not ring the bell, etc. I again was home but they did not care so attempted delivery day before was NOT attempted in my opinion. Another time the parcel was out for delivery and nothing. I went and picked it up at the end of the day as I needed the part. Guy said something about a new driver. This place needs to reorganize as they are the weakest link in the entire parcel delivery. They need to scan parcels, when they arrive at the local facility here in North Bay. The absolutely worst company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. They lie about why they fail to deliver your package. For the second time in a few months they have held up my package for over a week because they couldn't be bothered to drive here unless they had other delivers or pick ups in the area. If you use UPS or Canpar and pay for next day delivery, what you are going to get is delivery the next day that they feel like delivering your package, which will likely be a week or more after they get in in Bracebridge. Absolutely the worst delivery company around. My package was delivering by Loomis and has been sitting at the Muskoka Delivery Service, which apparently is now Canpar, which Canpar is just as bad. When trying to contact someone you cannot speak with anyone and the mailbox is full. When going to the website you are directed to the Canpar website. Canpar was unable locate the tracking number provided by Loomis. Was on hold with Canpar Customer Service Dept for almost 2 hours and no one answered. Did get a person on Live Chat after waiting an hour and 40 mins. which they were also unable to help. I do not recommend this company, nor Canpar or Loomis, terrible delivery service!!! If I could rate a zero I would, even 1 is to good for them!! read more

These guys are the absolute worst! They lie. UPS shipment tracking showed package at their Bracebridge hub for several days and each day the tracking noted "delivery by end of day" .....problem is they don't say what day! Still waiting and it's impossible to contact anyone at MDS...their voice mail boxes "full" or person "not available". They will direct you to the UPS 1-800 help number and while you can actually talk to a person there, all they can do is convey what you already know from their web tracking site. Do yourself a big favour and give these Muskoka guys a wide berth and find a company you can rely on and get in touch with if there is an issue. read more

TERRIBLE! I ordered a part last week from Parry Sound. It shipped Thursday. I tracked it 8 days later and it showed that they tried to deliver Monday and no one was home. I was home all day, they never came. And no one contacted me to tell me they tried delivering. I tried the online chat for Loomis and was told I could go pick it up, but I need to call first. I called the number and a very angry man told me I had the wrong number and to never call there again. I tried two other numbers and none of them worked. The fact that this is how they run their business is disgusting. Next time I'll drive to Parry Sound, as it's not that far. read more

The worst! UPS uses them to deliver to Huntsville and my packages are always late. Now when I see they are delivering, I expect late delivery. They always come up with some strange reason that my package was out for delivery but didn't make it to me (eg. "inclement weather" in August). I've also seen them throw my package down the 4 stairs toward my door. I like the idea of using a local service but improvements need to be made. read more

They delivered 3 parcels to my home today, with precipitation falling, and left them by the garage while it was raining, slightly under an eave and did not ring the doorbell. I have flex delivery to canada post and used that as my address, so they couldnt deliver. So they called me to get a house address, so I gave them my parents address which is in a different city. They made me call someone else, who had no idea what they were doing. those people made me call the original number back, and then they made me call the other number back. They then said they would call me back, which they never did. Got a call a few weeks later, from that same original number leaving the same message they had the first time. I emailed head office, and they were awful. Told me to email UPS, but didnt' give me any numbers of anything. When I replied asking for a number to call, they never emailed me back. This is the worst delivery company I have ever dealt with. AWFUL customer service. My brother told me he also had awful service with them. read more

The worst courier delivery service ever. They are contracted out by DHL to deliver in Bracebridge area. They do not deliver on time as per DHL web site. ZERO accountability. This service is hired by both DHL and UPS, therefore, I would suggest you stay away from these companies too. I ordered an item from Amazon thinking it was local. Then noticed it was being shipped from China. It arrived at the Muskoka Delivery Service within 3 days of my order, via DHL, which was fantastic... Now comes the pathetic part. It has been sitting in their facility in Bracebridge, Ontario for 7 days now. I have contact DHL numerous times and they suggest I use "patience". Obviously, they don't do much to fix the problem. I called Muskoka Delivery Service and they won't talk to customers who have shipments originating from companies such as DHL or UPS. Around and around I go with zero accountability. FYI - This is the third time I have experienced the same problem with Muskoka Delivery service. The previous shipments were through DHL and UPS. I did not realize that so many of the large shipping companies use this horrible third-party delivery service. My suggestion, if you have the choice, use FedEx. absolutely horrible experience! they withheld my package for 3 days each day saying todays the day its coming and it never came! on the 4th day of missing work i called "laura lee" one of the dispatch managers and she would only say "sorry, but theres no fault on our part" o.o shocked as i was i asked when can they get it to me and she after another hour sent a 1 line email, "it will be there between 5-6pm tonight" this is a $26,000 package! so of course im missing work to get the package ontime and make sure im there and not late! she wouldnt even have them call me to tell me hes close if i were to leave the store at 4pm when it closes so id have time to drive half an hour back to the store to meet the driver whos delivering it (after normal business hours) all in all i would have been just as upset if it was a $5 package, the value isnt the point, its that the customer service was some other sort of terrible. they knew the value, i personally reminded laura lee of the value as well when she said "sorry, but theres no fault on our part" and even told me if i were to miss another day of work at my other location that it would still be delivered the next night! for record im in parry sound area and they are in bracebridge only about 45mins to an hour away!!!!!! seriously displeased especially because you figure they would treat a customer shipping 10's of thousands of dollars with them would try to accommodate slight customer service to try and compromise and meet the convenience of the customer! i guess they dont care!.. sad really!!! moral of this story, always avoid muskoka delivery service! My experience today with your driver, for deliveries to Parry Sound, was upsetting to say the least. I am a senior, living alone, and had ordered from Home Depot a shower kit. The driver was supposed to give me a heads-up 1/2 prior to delivery, but did not. Upon arrival, he began by saying I would have to make other arrangements for delivery to my door as he was going to drop the unit at the street! I had paid Home Depot for delivery of the product. In the time it took this fellow to tell me all the things he couldn't do for me, he could have had the item off the truck and into my garage. He became rude and unhelpful when I suggested it could be done, and I would help. We got the shipment off the lift truck and moved it with the pump jack. It was extremely stressful for me because he was so miserable. The entire shipment was wrapped in film. He had no basic tools such as an exacto blade to cut the film to release the individual boxed items of the shower kit (four boxes) in order that they could be carried (with attached handles) into the garage about 8 feet from the back of the truck. Instead he wanted to try to fit the whole 7' tall package through the garage doors and was irritated when that couldn't be done. He muttered several things and rudely sent me into the house to sign the delivery slip when I began removing the plastic film. My neighbour hurried over to assist when he noticed what was happening. Home Depot should not be cutting corners by getting Muskoka Delivery Service to haul their orders. I have issued a complaint to Home Depot Head Office in Toronto. read more
