Muskoka Power Sports - fully dedicated to goal of making you wish a zero stars review was allowed. In reality the only person I talked to was Rob - some impudent 12 year old who had to keep telling me he had worked 3 months without a day off. Wow sorry Rob sorry for your bosses disrespect for child labor laws. Rob was also angry I had just signed up on their web sight the day before. He had a jet ski available, he was at the shop w my visa number and able to charge me the $3,000 security deposit. "I will be there in 20min," the way a kid tells you their homework is done and you know it isn't. We were on our way to meet him in 20 minutes then waited 20 more minutes then found the number on my friends phone and called ROB . He began w the new complaint he had to fix the Jet ski first and had not left yet then moved to the now familiar refrain about not having a day off in ... was it 3 months. I offered to refer him to a trauma counsellor when he fell silent, then got all viscous when I suggested he might have let us know given we were 2 men on a jet ski together floating off shore now 30min and 50 min from his promised 20 minute arrival, waiting for a jet ski delivery costing me $150 that had not begun yet. From there Rob tried to cancel my booking, irritated I only booked it yesterday and complaining he thought he was gonna have a whole day off. He pressed me about $150 delivery charge clearly pushing me to cancel, saying he was upset that I was not happy with the delivery delay, do you only have one machine? I asked ", could you not bring one that works ? Seems like Muskoka Power Sports might be an overly ambitious name for a couple high schoolers with 2skidoos? ... I asked if he would discount the delivery and that is when he really melted down, screaming and threatening to cancel .... "how much will I get for my time here waiting" is all I asked and wow? By this time it's noon already, mind you, and very hot floating on the water but not near as bad for us as poor malnourished Rob so close to dehydration and clearly about to faint of stupidity over our 3day rental, that got their auto reply of confirmation but apparently Rob forgot to check and was surprised /angered when I called and his long awaited day off vanished. With that Rob objected to my tone and said he wanted to cancel the booking but after five apologies o had talked him off the ledge as we really wanted the machine, and wait for it ... Rob went back to ... you guessed it ... and hat insatiable need, that loud demanding emotional itch to remind me of his exhaustion due to how long had he gone without a day off again?
So....
This may be a decent business but Rob's customer service in the owner's absence reminded me of the treatment I got years ago when I asked a Baptist minister if I could take his daughter to the highschool dance.
Hey Muskoka Power Sports - if Rob is an employee, give Rob the rest of his life off - if he owns this "business" his demise is assured and approaching. truly And that is why I told him he was a POS and hung up. Then we sped away on our only jet ski thankful that we will never meet poor poor Rob a millennial caricature of himself. Angry that he has to work and taking it out on the customers (while the boss if there is one) remains entirely clueless that Rob just flushed another $1200 rental. read more
