I have been going to Mustache Cuts since I moved to the area in July. Before that I went to super cuts, great clips, sport etc and thought the haircut was alright. I went outside the box and stopped in and paid the little extra. I could not be happier! 9 months later I have received some great cuts and beard trims. So I'll say this. If you already have a haircut, and just want a fade, great, you'll love this place. If you need an actual haircut, go somewhere else! They have no idea how to use scissors or any type of actual barber skills. I got willie and he did a nice fade, but my hair was long on top and I asked it to be cleaned up and blended. My boyfriend always has his haircuts with a specific barber named Kevin and when the day for his appointment with Kevin came, that day we ended up being held back in class to finish up an essay we were given in class and we thought we couldn't make the appointment. So we called mustache cuts an hour ahead to tell them we couldn't make it and after 12 missed calls and 50 mins going by, they finally answered and it ended up being the owner Khalil not Kevin. We told him we're really sorry but something came up with school and we couldn't come, you'd think he would be professional but he starts cursing my boyfriend out over phone. Ashlee is very skilled in the methods of an old school barber. While In the chair getting a cut, youll swear it was s 78 year old man smoking a cigar giving you your the best cut yet. Immediately I was impressed not only by the cleanliness and friendliness but the courtesy of each and every barber wearing a mask and doing their part to keep all who come to this establishment as safe as possible. I don't mean like some shops where the mask is worn under the nose or on the chin or for some none at all. No everyone was doing their part. Now on to the cut I was lucky enough to get Matt as my barber.... not only was he extremely professional with his cut but he was easy to talk to and didn't make me feel like I was just another customer. The first cut my boyfriend received was great. His barber was ready at the appointment time. He rarely spends money on himself. He went today for his second hair/beard cut. His appointment was for 920am, but he arrived at 9am. The barber was open when he arrived. The barber proceeded to take 2 walk ins because they were regulars, ignoring the appointment time. He waited 45 minutes, 25 of which were after his scheduled appointment time, and decided to walk out without service for this display of unprofessionalism. Very disappointed. read more

Avoid this place. Uneven cuts. Got a backwards taper somehow. Hair shorter at crown and longer below. Even emphasized how I like it cut to avoid this and he did everything to guarantee I got what I DIDN'T want. And at $30 for a regular cut I should have gone to supercuts. At least there i may have had a hot chic screw up my cut instead of a barber/chef/all around go getter accordingly to his business card that I tossed. How about concentrate on one thing. What a amazing find. One of the most difficult tasks now a days is to find a good barber or salon. My son and I were both due for a cut and lucky for me I came upon this gem while searching Yelp for a barbershop close to my hotel. My man Khalil is a master with the clippers! Not only is he a great barber but he's just an all around good person, very polite and a great conversationalist. I only went in for a hair cut but after hearing my wife and I talking about my face being dry and irritated from a full day of sun the day prior he hooked me up with a free steam facial that made me wish that i actually had a beard so that i could get that treatment at least once a week! The inside of his shop was very clean, smelled great, and very comfortable. He even has a professional size pool table to kill time while you wait. There's also a little car chair just in case you want to get your toddler or little ones hair cut as well. Its unfortunate that my family and I are only in town temporarily or this would have been my go to barber shop! If you're looking for a good cut and good conversation then this is the place to be! Great place for a proper men's haircut. The decor is clean and fresh. They've got great music on and even a pool table if you want get a quick game in. The owner (Kahlil) got me in on a Sunday afternoon. He did a fantastic job and really took his time. I commute between Boston and New Orleans and will definitely make sure to get my hair cut here from now on.
