Take the St Charles street car to the end of the line, walk a few blocks down on the left to Mr Chills....See Mr Carson... He's a first Class act.... Shave and a hair cut extraordinaire

Carson did an amazing job on cutting and doing a fade on my hair. So happy with the end result.

The best Haircut I've ever had here in New Orleans and I'm very happy with the end result. Carson was the barber that cut my hair and it was perfect and I'll definitely be back again as a regular customer.

just an update....I have to reiterate that these two gentlemen are top notch. Chill Wilson's smooth demeanor will coax any timid toddler on his first haircut (very entertaining to watch). Chill and Carson work well together and are committed to excellent customer service.

Mr. Chill's isn't just for men. My friend got a badass Ruby Rose inspired cut, I came along for the laughs. This is a first class establishment that can deliver an exceptional haircut and the men who run the show will have you laughing from the moment you walk in the door.

The perfect hardline.

Just had the best experience at Mr. Chill's first class cuts. Excellent customer service and a quality cut. I went in for a clean up of my undercut and hardline. Courtney did an amazing job! I highly recommend this barber shop to anyone, including women. Mr. Chill's is clearly a pillar in the New Orleans community!

I get my haircut by Carson who is excellent and a stand up guy, but all the guys who work here are great.

I was in town on a work trip and stopped in for a walk-in. I showed Lester a reference photo, and…read morehe nailed the fade. There was a slight language barrier, but his skills more than made up for it. I'm a barber and barbershop owner myself, so I have my standards, and this shop definitely delivered. Great service, great atmosphere, and I'd definitely recommend them.

I walked into this place on my last day of my trip to New Orleans to have the sides of my mohawk…read morecleaned up before my trip home. I have Mohawk braids and the sides are already shaved. I got here a week ago and I had the sides shaved the day I left so there was only one week of growth. I do not have anything special done, just the sides shaved down to a zero (0). No fade. Nothing. Granted, I did not ask ahead of time what the cost would be, but I did a quick search on their website and I saw a similar cut to mine on a girl with braids down the center and a fade priced at $35. There was no patrons in the shop, and two barbers. The a gentleman who took me was quick and efficient. And at the end when I asked them what I owed him he asked me if I was paying cash or card. I have noticed here that when you pay with a card, there is usually an up-charge so I told him I would pay cash. And then he charged me $40! Where I come from on the West Coast, what I'm having done is considered a cleanup cut. Cleanups like these cost $15-$20. At most I was thinking I would be charged around 30 since they were charging $35 for a fade (which I was not getting and is a lot more work). To be charged $40 for the cash price seemed to be price gouging...maybe because they assumed I didn't know or didn't ask. Also going back and studying their website a bit more. Their regular, full haircuts start at $40 and that is definitely not what I got. Because I was the only girl in the shop and I'm non-confrontational, I was too nervous (and frankly too taken aback) to start anything. I was even hesitant in writing this review, but because there was more than one barber there, and the other one didn't speak up or say anything kind of tells me that maybe this is a practice of the shop and makes me want to warn others that might be thinking of going there. This might be a tourist thing and not a local thing as well. And I understand that pricing is going to be different here than it is on the West Coast, but being from the West Coast, things are really expensive there so being charged $40 for a 10 minute cleanup seems a little fishy. Do with this info as you will. There's not much I can say about the cut itself since there's nothing special about it. Honestly, I wish I could do it myself except I can't see the back and I don't want to risk cutting into my braids. In other news, I love y'all's city!

Well then get your ass to Magazine Street like it's Mars and your name is Douglas Quaid, (after an appointment of course, (for your haircut not a spaceflight that may or may not have actually happened*)), and don't you dare put all your weight onto Cesar's beloved antique barber chairs as you sit your ass down. Sit yo' ass down proper! Cesar or Gideon will take care of you. Don't you worry. What's this? You've followed my advice already? Shit, you're fast. Can that work with Taco Bell too? I want a Crunchwrap Supreme. No? Fuck. Okay, go ahead and put down that porn you were "reading" while you were waiting, and wrap your hands around that complimentary cold beer instead. Drink up because Gideon wants you drunk so he can steal all your money on the next game. Don't say I didn't warn you. Also say hello to Milo towards the back. He's a friendly pooch and will observe silently as your hair falls to the floor during conversations most likely involving women (especially those that walk past the front window), or sports, or movies, etc. because this is a barber shop damn it, and these are the things that need to be talked about. Oh, looks like you're all done. Congratulations on fixing up that Bieber-grade mop of yours you handsome son of a bitch! You are now a respectable member of the human race again. Go ahead and leave a nice tip and come back when your hair needs more scissor wizardry or because you owe Gideon money. I told you not to make that bet. Sucker. *Spoiler Alert: Quaid's flight to Mars I mentioned earlier... yeah it never actually happened. His running California as Governator for 7 pre-Judgment Day years... yeah that totally happened.
