I took a lamp here that I had tried (unsuccessfully) to rewire myself. The original design was very…read moreprecarious and when I took it apart, I found the previous owner had really crammed any and everything they could to get this lamp upright and working. They had cut the bottom open crudely with a soldering iron and left it open and jagged. The lamp was always crooked, wobbling, tilted, and never screwed tight so I thought I would definitely improve it after rewiring it but- I could not figure out how to put it back together and so it sat in pieces, my beautiful lamp, in the back of my car for years. I wish I had taken pictures of it before I brought it to Pat Eggings in a bucket. Just so you could see the stark comparison of my sad lamp reduced to nuts, bolts, vintage brown glass globes, bronze/brass pillars, to this sturdy, solid and completely restored piece of art. He even put a perfectly cut slab of masonite on the bottom to safely close the jagged opening that had been carved on the bottom. The price was very reasonable and I will happily come to them with all my lamp repair needs! Of course it's also a great place to shop for one of a kind antiques and collectibles. Thank you so much!

I love thrifting while traveling because sometimes you find some great treasures! I had fallen for an local artists whimsical style and somehow found one of her pieces in this thrift store!!! And everything was on sale- so I got a functional piece of art (a soap dish) for $4! When I was in a gallery that very same day with her works priced $80 and up depending on the piece. Jump for joy please! And the staff here are wonderful- the cashier loved my find too.

A lot of the items are priced as if they were brand new, which defeats the purpose of shopping at a thrift store. Since this is a senior thrift store, I feel like items should be priced to actually sell. Moving more inventory would encourage people to come back, and it seems like that would do more to support the seniors than having items sit on the shelves because they're overpriced. On top of that, the worker at the front had an attitude, which made the experience feel unwelcoming and left me not wanting to come back. I really hope the pricing and customer service improve because I'd like to support the cause.

The back rooms had what I look at as apothecary chest- tons of little drawers, if you can picture it. Except they had several of them and every drawer was filled with different jewelry findings! Beads, clasps, bails- you name it. At the front of the store were a bunch of felt hats that were also incredible. We were greeted when we entered and checked on a couple of times- I really enjoyed this shop. I was very, very tempted to buy myself one of their gorgeous semi-precious gemstone necklaces. Items placed in the old garden outside are nicely discolored. It can be used for nostalgic items such as worn-out wooden tables and chairs. The interior of the store is filled with attractive things. I like to put old things in harmony with the present era. It may be good to find something unique and retro. However, some of them are not antique, but they all match the image of the store. This odd little shop consists of a small house and an outdoor tent area. The front room is more what I'd call gifts and collectibles: costume jewelry, cheap toys, and novelty items (like those plastic plant beads that you're supposed to use instead of potting soil). The back rooms have more thrift-store-type used stuff: a couple of small racks of coats and clothing, but mostly old VHS tapes, books, and music. They do have a fair amount of $1 books, but many are old and dated without exactly being vintage/antique. The employee was intently watching the end of a movie when we walked in and didn't bother to greet us, but later got into a heated discussion with another customer about the type of engine on a used car the customer was trying to get the owner to buy, or something. The shop is so small that you can't escape anyone's conversation, so... it was pretty awkward. I guess this is a thrift shop in the sense that there are inexpensive used items for sale, but it appear to be a privately owned place and makes no mention of any proceeds going to a charitable cause. If you really want to thrift on the peninsula, I suggest you keep on going to Port Townsend, which at least has a Goodwill.

Could have easily spent a couple hours in there. Other than antique glassware and dishes (FiestaWare!) and lots of other fun little things, they also have bamboo clothing from EcoDesignz. I saw a dress I liked there but didn't buy it, and then got home and wished I had. I had seen that they had a Myspace page so looked them up, emailed them about the dress and they emailed me right back blahblahblah I had the dress 2 days later. They were SO incredibly nice to deal with, and I can't remember the last time I've been able to say that about a shop!
