This Farmer's office is located inside of Walmart Kahului near the main cash registers.  It's a…read moretiny office that handles only policy questions, start up's, changes and cancelations.  No claims can be filed here, unfortunately.   EXPERIENCE: I actually started out with AIG Insurance which was bought out by Farmers (in Hawaii anyway) years ago.  After getting off of my parent's AARP insurance, AIG's/Farmer's rates were favorable for similar coverage which is why I've been with them all these years.  When I filed a claim a few years and two vehicles ago, I was lucky enough to not have to pay a deductible as the other driver's policy was under the same company which zeroed both of us out.  Response time and coordination of body work and car rental was quick and efficient.    My policy premium slowly lessened over the years but for some reason is slowly going up currently with no recent claims on a vehicle that's going on five years old.  I may need to look elsewhere if it continues to do so. But, I do like that I can speak to a company rep based in Hawaii as the local service is always superior to the mainland.   TIP: Most recently, while I'm still covered under Farmer's, my new insurance cards state "21st Century Insurance" which is part of the Farmer's Group. OVERALL: Nothing to complain about aside from the very slight bump up in my premium.

You would think they would look at the house BEFORE i signed the papers. The best part: I asked "now what?" And they did not provide options - just a countdown to when the policy expired. On my own, I called insurers with State Farm's reason for dropping the house within a month. I found a company that encouraged more details about the house and said that it was well taken care of and decided to insure it. Do not contact Mark Zion State Farm- definitely not the definition of Aloha.

I'd highly recommend them if you can afford the premiums. Again, they're not the cheapest, but I think it's safe to say you get what you pay for (in this case I think you get MORE than you pay for when you need it). When I've been delinquent on payments, they've always worked with me on making sure I get the coverage reinstated as soon as possible and they've helped me to save money in the midst of that.
