It was annoying but my son got his graduated class permit thing a ma bob and the school didn't give us the white paper that said all we needed. The clerk that gives your ticket saw that I did not have my son's social security card and KINDLY informed me that they probably wouldn't process my son's application without that. She showed me the white paper, still gave me a number and told me that if I wanted to get confirmation my wait would be about 13 minutes. Seriously, that clerk, I wish I got her name, deserves a raise. She saved me so much time. I took my son home, got his SSN card, and went to the other location to finish this out. Additionally, this location was clean, virtually spotless. The bathrooms were very clean and they even had an Easter tree...first time I ever saw that...but hey, they're seasonal and I think that's kind of cool. Props DMV of New Castle. You rock!

I had planned to use the kiosk for a drivers license renewal, which takes approximately 10 minutes however I could not even get into the building because I arrived at 4:03 PM due to traffic unfortunately now I'm probably going to have to pay a late fee to renew my drivers license because I am now unable to get here on another day before 4 PM or 7 PM on a Wednesday before my license expires

The staff were kind, assistive, professional, funny, and accommodating. I had to let my lady know that I had a pleasant experience. Her booth neighbor said, 'Her name is Mimi". Which later I find out, was Adrienne (? Spl). They were jokers; and their jokes were light hearted. The staff answered my questions welcomingly and succinctly. I appreciate that I wasn't belittled nor treated condescendingly. My past DMV experience included staff who were on power trips and untouchable demeanor. One staff in Wayne even questioned my presence as a mother of a minor. There was an instance that a lady yelled out, "No pictures". Everyone around me looked puzzled. I looked at who yelled and looked at me. She yelled again, "No pictures." I had to reply back that it wasn't me. "Well someone was taking pictures." I have no reason to take pictures. I was busy dreading the 2hr drive back home. But I would still give Salem DMV 5 Stars!!! I will have no hesitation to come back here if needed.

There was a person checking documents and answering questions. I was given a number and some forms to complete. When my number was called, I went to an area where I was able to sit down, get my documents processed and pay the fees. Then I was given a new ID card which is good for 5 years. Note that the REAL ID does not say REAL ID on it, it's the same as my old ID with a gold star on the upper right side of the card.

(Needed a real ID) it opens at 8:30 and I arrived at 8:23 to a long line in the parking lot. As soon as it opened the line moved fairly quickly and I was seated with a number by 9:15. My number was called in less than 20 mins and it was printed by 9:58. Was so surprised. It's probably worse the later you go in the day, it got busier and busier as time went on. I highly recommend getting there when it opens. Seems like if you do, you'll be able to get in and out of there in less than two hours.

If you're only getting your picture for a drivers license (that you have renewed on-line), KOP is…read morepretty efficient. Once you get inside the building (the line often snakes outside into the parking area) ask the guard that is just inside the entrance door if there is a separate line for "pictures only" and they may let you bypass the line. You'll need a camera card (mailed to you after you renew your license) to get a number. With the number, you can proceed directly to the "A" station to get your picture taken. If you need other services or didn't renew on-line, the wait can be 2-4 hours. (KOP DMV, if you are reading this, it would be really helpful if you set up a separate 'pictures only' line right at the main entrance.)
