Which is another thing, they close 4:30 but stated they are gonna stop taking people at 3:30. When I left at 3:15 they said they are taking one more person. They could have multiple others if they close at 4:30. Anyways, now I have to get up extremely early tomorrow instead of them just staying open for extra hours as they had multiple people waiting for hours for no reason.

But if you had mailed in your original paperwork and it went missing they do not except copies so you need to get your doctor to fill it all over again and give you a new script. So that part was annoying but Carly and her male colleague was super helpful and they got my stuff processed quickly. They remembered me from being there the previous day. I was told not to mail it but go in person or have a friend go for me because what happened to me is common. My mailed in paperwork went missing or was lost. So I took one star off because the website failed to mention copies of my original form and doctors sceipt and not acceptable. Once you get to the entrance, a person will ask you why you are there, and give you a form to fill out (you can't bring guests - only people who have business to be done can enter). You will walk up the stairs to the second floor. There will be signs for you to go to reception. On the way, there are tables and pens for you to fill out the form you received when entering the building. Take your form and 6 points worth of documents, and continue to the reception windows. Reception will check your docs, and then give you a sticker with a number (that's your queue order). Some start with Bs, some start with Ns, and mine started with a Y (I had a pre-registered online appointment). Go to the waiting area, and then wait for them to call your number, and which window to go to. All in all, it took me 20-25 mins (I suggest you make an appointment ahead of time).

Just search on Google and you can see the live feed to check how busy the inspection center is. You can choose any inspection center and check before you go. NJ MVC also provides online wait-time information for inspection stations. Again, a smooth process with no hassle!

Those were the days when you really had your car inspected from top to bottom & front to back. This DMV has much better signage from Rt. 46 West so you don't miss the actual entrance. Now it's In- N-Out in less than 20 minutes for Car inspection includes waiting in line, driving your car up to the inspection booth and the actual inspection.
