Last year, my former employer hired MVM for their office relocation from Toledo to Perrysburg. They had been at their present location in Toledo for almost 35 years, so you can imagine the volume of antique, heavy furniture and file cabinets, just stuff in general, to move. We really thought it was going to be stressful, everyone was dreading it with everything inside of them. The morning came to start our move and I was not looking forward to it. The guys showed up exactly when they said they would, smiling and happy, even at 8 am. My first impression of MVM went a little like this, 'Oh my gosh. He just smiled, looked me right in the eyes, introduced himself as Jon and shook my hand. Then proceeded to tell me exactly what the process was, asked if I had any questions and they immediately got started'. I couldn't believe my ears or eyes, what a perfect first impression! I knew it'd be a good day, they sounded like they knew exactly what they were doing! Once they got started, I fully understood why they are the Best in the Business. They are fast, thorough, careful, personable, professional and use extreme caution to ensure your stuff arrives in the condition they put it on their truck in. The truck was packed in extreme precision to get the most for your money, and boy they know how to pack! Tetris champions! The move took 2 mornings and they were done. They broke everything down and set everything back up at the new office. They let us take our time to figure out how we wanted our offices set up too. They were very patient. Their spirits throughout the day never lowered. I am still in shock looking back at how efficiently they moved our office. Moving forward, we decided to put our home up for sale, it sold quickly. I knew, without a doubt we'd hired MVM when the time came. We moved this past weekend and once again the guys were outstanding. Outstanding doesn't even describe it, is there a better word? Our movers were Max and Cody, they continued with what I loved best about the company, the first impression...smiles, eye contact, hand shakes and eager to help in anyway. They are true professionals. We had stuff that needed moved out before we could move ours in, they graciously performed any task we asked. The volume of heavy stuff, and just stuff in general that we had, was mind-blowing. I didn't know I had so much crap! The entire move, they never ceased to amaze us, by slowing down in any way! They moved a fully-loaded deep freezer, we STILL have no idea how they did it. They were full-throttle the whole move. I'm still blown away and sad to say that I don't think we are ever moving again (we bought our forever home), but you better believe, I will scream from the mountain tops that MVM is THE BEST IN THE BUSINESS. The guys are so proud of who they work for. They are expanding and I think it's wonderful! Thank you so much for helping us, it would have taken us months to move, instead, just a couple hours. MVM were wonderful, from beginning to end with a little hiccup in the middle that was not entirely under their control (note: five star rating, despite that!) My fiance and I recently moved to Chicago, IL from Bowling Green, OH and Maumee Valley Movers made it happen in as quick, easy, and painless a fashion as an interstate move can be. It was a two-day process because it was long-distance--one day to load and another to drive and unload. Before the move: Kim, at the MVM office, was wonderful--thorough, organized, and super friendly. She answered all of my (many!) questions and she was understanding and kind throughout the process. (Note: please do get your place checked in-person for the estimate, rather than over the phone, as we learned the hard way that when people underestimate how many things they have, it slows the process down for everyone else behind them on the schedule.) The hiccup: We were hours behind schedule. Our scheduled load-time was between 11-2, but we didn't start loading until well after 4 (which would have been fine had we not had a 4 hour drive ahead of us). Despite this major hitch, the actual move itself went amazingly quickly. MVM even sent an extra mover for our quoted two-person move (which we were not charged for) to make up for the late start. The move: The movers were friendly, strong, hard-working, and lightning-fast. These are guys who are flipping amazing at what they do. With three movers, the load time took a little under half an hour. (We did our part too--the apartment was 99.8% packed before the trucks arrived & we stocked up on water bottles beforehand.) The following day was much like the previous one, except significantly harder on the movers. Our things had to be carried from the truck to the basement service elevator because the truck was too tall to pull into the building's loading area. The service elevator was tiny and the movers had to navigate two narrow corridors before reaching the apartment. Despite ALL of these serious issues, both Jordan and Dylan were incredible. They were careful with our things, diligent, and were super, super fast. They didn't say a single word of complaint and gave it 200%. (I was over the moon with the actual moving service and tipped each mover generously.) Thanks to their hard work, the final charge came in under the quoted estimate & not a single item was worse for it. TL;DR: Please get an in-person estimate when you move. MVM is amazing. I have now had the pleasure to work with Maumee Valley Moving Company on two moves - one personal (partial-pack) move and one business move. Both moves had lots of details to work out and they answered my (endless) emails almost immediately. I got a fair quote, talked about ways I could help bring my price down (finding some of my own packing materials), and eventually agreed on an estimate. For my personal move, we had a two-day move from Ann Arbor to Toledo (packed/loaded one day, unloaded the next) and had an amazing crew. They were punctual, efficient, polite, professional, and worked their butts off. They were done in far less time they anticipated, and my final bill was far LESS than my estimate (how often does THAT happen?!). For my business move, I started a new job where I had to move set pieces and costumes from our storage facility to a theatre for a performance. Again, lots of details changed many MANY times and Maumee Valley answered my dozens of emails promptly and helped me work out all the details. This was a two-truck, two-day move as well AND a major snowstorm (Level 3!) happened on the second day of the move. Once again, they showed me their professionalism and quality customer service by responding to my emails immediately to help me figure out what to do. I would HIGHLY recommend Maumee Valley Moving Company for any move you might need. I can't say enough good about this group. I had moved all of my stuff into a storage unit in Toledo, planning to move it in several months after I later arrived at my new home after a long vacation. As a last minute thought, the day before leaving town, I invited MVM to look over what I had and work up a quote. The did this and so much more. They do their moves on a single client basis - instead of loading your stuff onto a big truck with several other clients. Derek and Tony not only gave me a good quote, but a few days after I left, they called me to say that they had found another client moving "the other way" with whom they could coordinate the move - and significantly cut the cost. I had already left town, but they organized the entire move, including opening my self storage unit in Toledo and loading everything, finding me an equivalent unit on the other side of the country and doing all the arrangements to sign this up at a bargain introductory rate. Instead of having to return to Toledo 6 months later, I arrived at my new home to find everything intact and stored away. We recently moved from Perrysburg to Toledo. Murphy's Law, the temperature the day of the move hovered in the 20's. Maumee Valley Movers, Alec and Winston, arrived according to schedule. We were moving from a second story apartment to another on a second floor as well. The furniture we have could be called "good wood" and is more than heavy. The stairwell in the apartment we were moving from was wide. Carrying down to load was easier than carrying up to unload was. The stairs at the destination were narrower and had a right angle turn at the top. Alec and Winston made it all look effortless. They treated our belongings as if they were their own. Everything arrived unmarked and in one piece. They worked like a well-oiled machine. From the minute they arrived until the minute they finished, the two men were professional, polite and hard-working. What do you do when Glass City Movers don't show up for your appointment? You call MAUMEE VALLEY MOVERS !!! These guys are amazing. Once Glass City didn't show and we called the office and they refused to acknowledge that I called in for the appointment and didn't offer any suggestions or assistance, We called MAUMEE VALLEY MOVERS !!! They were very kind to us and said that they would love to help us out SAME DAY !!! He did say it would be later in the afternoon, 1 or 2, it wasn't, I got a call at 11am that they could be there at 11:30 and they were. Ryan and Matt did an amazing job, very courteous and professional. They worked very hard and quick. We were loaded up and on the road in about an hour. We got to the new house and I showed them where the furniture would be placed and that was it, it just a few minutes we were all moved in. I really hope this reach the right person. I gave a mover here name Jo or Josh 50 bucks. im not a customer haha but if I ever moved to OHIO I know where to reach out. I've never heard of the company. But I saw this guy moving with such urgency back and forth . he stood out mainly because of those pink shoes haha. moving in style. I've saw many moving companies but this is the first where I saw a ONE MAN moving crew. I watched this guy carrry a couch , a bed a dresser up to the 5th floor with many boxes. I wanted to help but I told him if he finished within 3 hours before my unload I would pay him. (thats how impressed I was). I've just never saw anything like that. And he moved with no damages. Lmao. I know this because I had to ask the new resident for his name. My goal is to hit guys such as this gentleman. I know great work ethic, YOU EITHER HAVE IT OR YOU DONT. Great Job MVM. read more

We had a wonderful experience from start to finish with MVM!!! We recently experienced the unexpected death of our mother. We had another moving company scheduled and a few hours before their arrival time they cancelled. They had no plan to help us, just cancelled. We had to get our mom's belongings out of her place immediately and were very upset about everything. MVP came through for us. They were so kind and empathetic with the situation. They gave us a very fair price and had excellent communication with us from start to end. Ali and Dylan were our movers and they were professional and efficient! This was the first time I hired movers, and this experience has completely sold me on it. I needed help moving all of my furniture, so I hired MVM. Ben K. and Cole P. are the people that assisted me with this move, and they were absolutely phenomenal. They were both very friendly, and also very efficient. They loaded and unloaded the furniture of 3 rooms (living room, office, and bedroom) within two hours, and their help was appreciated. I live alone, and I had been stressing about moving all of my things, and now I don't have to worry about that. MVM is a great service, and if everyone that works for them is anything like Ben and Cole, I highly recommend this business. This was my first experience with a professional moving company and I was anxious, but once Clark and Dan showed up and explained what they would be doing and how they would do it, I thought it was too good to be true. But they did everything exactly as they had said and all I had to do was be available for any questions. They took such good care of my grandmothers antiques and wrapped and protected them the same way she would have done, so on behalf of my grandmother Thank you. It's tough to find Quality Customer Service these days, but Dan and Clark were exceptional, really above and beyond my expectations. Also, considering the prep and work that goes into moving all of the furniture, the price is a bargain. As a single female, I need to hire movers I can trust. I mean, they are in my house and know a lot about me and my living experience. That being said, I have never been more comfortable with a group of movers as Oscar, Jose and Nick T. These guys were friendly, courteous, super fast, and really compassionate when they heard my story with my out-of-state movers (who dumped everything in a storage unit and refused to finish the job.) The dispatcher, Ryan, even came to help when I was in a last-minute panic. This team came in and saved the day, and I am grateful. My family was referred to Maumee Valley Movers by all of their neighbors, saying they have had a great experience with the Toledo location company. After using their services, I fully agree! I was worried at first because I've never used a moving service before and wasn't sure what to expect. I also had the luck that the new Fort Wayne location had finalized and I was able to use their new location (as I was moving from the area to Toledo). I was able to setup, finalize, and be moved by Ryan, and was helped by Coron & Derek. All three were kind, answered any questions I had, and were quick! I'll make sure to recommend Maumee Valley. Maumee Valley Movers (MVM) came highly recommended however, I was skeptical. Well, I hired them at an hourly rate and was very pleasantly surprised. Justin and Ryan showed up exactly on time and the first thing they did was a thorough walk through and while doing so asked questions they made it clear they respected my household goods as well as the need to protect my house from damage during the move. They worked hard and did so at a very steady consistent pace while taking every precaution with my property. They were friendly and had a good sense of humor. I have used MVM several times and have been completely satisfied with each move they helped with. They moved my daughter to Denver and some of my belongings to Florida perfectly. Here locally they came to my rescue when I ordered file cabinets from an office store to be delivered to my office. After waiting for two weeks for the delivery, a semi truck shows up with the driver, no lift gate and 3 large file cabinets. MVM to my rescue!! They picked up the file cabinets from the other trucking company and delivered them to my office. The two guys were very professional, handled my property with care and saved the day for me!! I've never used a moving company before, but I was moving from Ohio to Florida and needed a company. I searched online to receive many quotes, but was hesitant to use a company that wanted to quote everything online. I decided to call MVM, James came to my home and gave me a reasonable quote, a local company that would take ownership of my transition from start to finish. Wow! Moving that took two trucks from Ohio to Indiana and 320 miles. Spent a total of three days with these guys. First day loaded trucks from my house. Tyler B, Cody B, Anthony, and Dalton were outstanding! Refreshing to have such hard workers help me with all of my possessions. Second day we drove five hours and then unloaded until 830 pm. Crazy how hard this has to be! Tyler B and Cody B were professional, hard workers, polite, and just outstanding. Came back the next day to unload more. I really don't know how these guys do this! MVM were able to work on very short notice and at a much more reasonable rate than any other moving company in the area. Tim was very polite and friendly on the phone both with setting up the appointment as well as checking in the day before the move. He dispatched two very professional and courteous movers named Jonathan and Richard (highly recomend these two) who were very conscious of the amount of time they were taking and actually completed the move in slightly under the quoted time. This was a feat considering that we moved to a 3rd floor apartment. If and when we ever move again, this will be the company we choose. read more

The team consisted of Cody R., Darius, Mike J and Ricky. We needed to move a baby grand piano and awoke in the morning to black ice on the roads! But they showed up on time and were about the nicest group of young men you could ask for! They all introduced themselves with big smiles and assured us they would take great care of our family heirloom, a 120 yr old Chickering Brothers Baby Grand Piano. And they did! I used MVM to move from a house to an apartment across town and the men i had were spectacular. Ryan and Richard started working at 8:30 and did not stop till noon when everything was complete. They treated everything with care, reassembled everything perfectly and made sure everything was in the correct place before they left. They were hard workers who were fast and efficient. It was also a bonus that they had great personalities and it wasn't awkward and silent the entire time they were working.
