This may be my first 1 star review. I worked with this group very briefly, and I am shocked by the severe lack of professionalism that I experienced within a very short time frame. I called Pasha Vafaei, the attorney, to request additional documentation after I chose to drop and end my case. Pasha was immediately defensive when I explained why I dropped the case, called me "sensitive" and "entitled", and continued to berate me for about 3 minutes over the phone until I had to hang up on him. Aside from the very unprofessional and disrespectful phone call, the group's communication is also poor. I did not receive updates on my case nor was I informed of next steps. Overall, I would never work with an attorney that has such poor control over their own emotions and who cannot respectfully handle well-deserved critique on where their business can do better. It is now over a year since creating my case. It's a simple workers comp case, and should not have taken this long. I received a letter in the mail from my employer's insurance stating that they are motioning to dismiss my case due to inactivity to pursue the case on my end. This shows that MVP Law was doing nothing this entire time, which is something I was suspecting. I reached out to my case worker and he said he would "take care of it" and never heard back about what that means or any updates, it's been over a month. I am keeping my review where it is now, and not changing it back until I see a settlement (if that even will happen). Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. They say your settlement is settled since January and no payment yet they keep lying about when the judge signed the papers I received mail from the defense attorney. And the lawyer just signed a week ago. When they said judge signed since March 15th. Then they get defensive when you call them out on it and quick to hang up on you. So I picked up the phone and a man says hello and says his name which I didn't fully hear and it wasn't a name I recognized he said my name and said he is my attorney. He then asked me for some type of confirmation I don't remember what it was maybe it was my birthday but I was confused because he didn't say what law firm and I told him "attorney for what?" he then became very enraged and said "what do you mean attorney for what? how many attorneys do you have? you sign the retainer don't you remember? you don't want money?" and at this point I was already suspicious he was a scam caller so I hung up he then immediately called back and began cussing at me. name calling me. saying "you don't want the $5,500 I got for you you jackass" I told him I didn't want to confirm nothing because he didn't say what firm he was from and I believed he is a scamcaller. And I told him "if he is real what is with the attitude and foul language?" he continued berating me insulting me swearing at me and said he was going to "beat the shit out of me" and he "knows where I live" and he told me "I got your ID right here in front of me" and he proceeded to say my birthday. from there on out I truly believed this guy was a scammer. About 45 minutes go by and I get another phone call this time from a different number I also did not recognize. But I picked it up and it was a woman. the first thing she said was she is from the law firm of MVP trial lawyers and she said her name. She said they told her to call me regarding a settlement for my case. I told her if she receive my email I sent asking about the threatening harassing phone call I received and if it was in fact an employee or was it a scammer? She said someone did call me earlier and I think she said the name was posh but I believe she was saying Pasha. I told her what happened and she was very horrified and shocked and apologize vehemently. I told her "does he work for you?" and she said yes. That is just insane that if this guy is the actual owner is crazy and unbelievably unprofessional I understand if some people get mad and start swearing but when you start threatening to hurt people show up to their place and in some form of intimidation or power move say you have my ID on the table right in front of you that is insinuating you know where I live and then you proceed to tell me my date of birth is just crazy. I just find it so hypocritical and ironic that someone that has a website called fubully.com and all of this marketing about being harassed in the workplace and being bullied is actually a bully themselves. all their videos on Instagram giving an example of toxic workplace environments threats of violence. harassment. Saying they are fighting for people and workers who are subject to this and the so-called owner is doing this himself to his own employees and to his clients. Must feel like a real big tough man over the phone taking like this. It's very sad and depressing I have to deal with this guy as he is assigned to one of my cases I wish one of his very helpful and professional employees would take over but it is what it is.
