This review is based purely on Aegis Law Firm's intake process. I requested a consultation through their website, but it took over two and a half business days before anyone got back to me. When Kim finally reached out, her tone was discourteous and abrupt. She seemed low on energy and jumped straight into asking questions without any introduction, background or explanation. After answering all of her questions, I asked what the purpose of those questions was. She explained it was to gather background information. Kim then followed up, rather rudely, by asking if I still wanted to proceed. Given my interactions with her, I decided to decline. A law firm should prioritize potential clients and opportunities. Having someone who is rude and unfriendly lead the intake process suggests the firm doesn't value my case. Moreover, based on other reviews, it seems others have had similar experiences with Kim. In addition, other firms have an attorney that does the consultation. read more

STAY AWAY from this firm. This review is based soley on their miscommunication and not going more in depth with looking into further details in the case. I originally hired them for a labor dispute case. They took my case right away as I had so much evidence. Even me giving them all the evidence to prove that my ex-job discriminated against me by not giving me a raise they did NOT bother much to look further. I am certain that if they would have fought more for that I would have gotten a bigger, better outcome. My biggest disappointment is that at the end, I was charged a printing fee and that was never discussed with me. I brought it up with Dan but all I got is an apology. That should have been covered by the firm not me. Since it was never discussed with me. They also take a huge percentage out of your settlement which seems very exorbitant. In the end they took more than half of mine. Overall, I DO NOT recommend. Everyone GO somewhere else. read more

Requested a free consultation, Kim the intake contact at Aegis didn't want to deviate from her cookie cutter approach thus she hung up on me twice. I asked whether they handled California Labor Code 2802 cases, she told me she can't offer legal advice. It wasn't legal advise I was asking, it's yes or no. If Kim isn't able to communicate well as the gatekeeper how can potential clients expect her intake notes to accurately reflect the facts so one of their attorney's can make an informed decision? It took me several months before seeking an attorney for my wrongful dismissal but friends and family kept insisting I do so. I had a very good friend where she had used Sam Wong and was very happy with the results. With much trepidation, I finally met with Sam. After leaving his office, it was the first time I felt like I could breathe again. You go through so much emotional ups and downs the last thing you want to do is talk to an attorney. I came across Aegis after reading their highly recommended reviews which was followed by a meeting in regards to my case where we went over the details to consider. I originally worked with Sam in the beginning for my case details and then Ali Carlsen took over from there! I cannot say more positive things about this law firm! Ali was always amazing at staying on top of communication with me. In addition, anytime I emailed her or had a question she would always get back to me! Keep in mind each case takes its own time! I called the office last Monday 12/17/2018 and I explained by situation and a possible case. I was told I would hear back the following day- I didnt. I called 2 days after the initial call and they asked me to give them a rundown of the possible case-even though I already did. They again told me they would review the information and call me back promptly the next day.Guess what I didnt hear back... I called again and asked if it was due to the holiday and they said it was...but they said we will get back to you...they never did. Terrible service. I dont think it the lawyers or managers themselves.... I believe they need to have more professionalism in the front end..the receptionist could use better training. read more

I hired Aegis Law Firm to fight my case. We worked together for 4 months, when it was time to go to court Aegis backed out. They called me up and said they will not be taking my case any further. Because the case was dropped in the middle of the law suite other attorneys are hesitant to pick it up, because now they have to back up and pick up the pieces. Aegis reasoning is: They have to many cases and they don't have time to hunt the company employer down and take them to court.
