I stood $4400 to have my 2012 Mercedes C250 fixed. Was the timing chain in phasers. Two weeks later and it doesn't run it's not the battery. Nobody knows what it is. Eyemed a couple of good trustworthy mechanics over the years but they have moved on an here I find myself looking for a new one. It's hard to find one that you can trust and count on. I didn't know where to start then I ran across Yelp and look through the ratings and I liked what I saw about MY Automotive owner, that had a degree in engineering. I had done my homework and he quoted me cheaper than I expected. This was a very pricey and complicated repair. I'm so pleased with the service. I can now say finally, that I found my new Mechanic! Yuri and his staff are truly incredible. I recently purchased a BMW 328i and brought it to them to fix some issues with the front brakes and tension belt. He completed the work in 2 days and did it for cheaper than the dealership and other repair stores in town. On top of this he gave me a student discount and fixed a few minor things in the car for free such ad my door popping and the auxiliary port. I will only be taking my car to them from now on. Saved our Vacation! We were driving from Cincinnati to Denver when we hit some metal debris in the road that punctured the condenser for our AC in central MO. Using my smart phone, I searched for auto repair places in Columbia, the next major city. The previous Yelp reviews helped convince me to give MY Automotive a call and told them we would be passing by in 40 minutes. They said they would be able to look at it when we arrived. They quickly found the problem, picked up the needed parts and got us on the road 90 min after we arrived, allowing us to remain on our schedule. I was referred to M Y Automotive through the MINI Cooper company website that listed reputable mechanics in my area to work on my MINI. I called to make an appointment and they were able to schedule me right in. They was fast, efficient, polite and friendly. Even though I had a pretty good idea of the work that needed to be done, they took the time to explain everything that they were planning to do and even suggested a more cost effective way to take care of my repairs. Added super bonus: they gave me a ride home after I dropped off my car AND came and picked me up when my car was finished. I will continue to take my car there for service and any repairs and would highly recommend the to anyone else. read more

I've been taking my cars here since they opened and I've been very impressed with their honesty and customer service! An honest mechanic??? Yes, indeed. Mike & Yuri don't do unnecessary work, they get my car done quickly, and the prices are very reasonable. I even buy my tires through them. The shop isn't fancy; they don't serve cappuccino or have a shuttle bus, so their overhead is lower than the fancy dealerships in town. I'm taking a huge risk writing this review, because I don't want them to get too busy to take care of my cars, but I hate to see people pay more than they need to for car repairs. read more

By far the greatest shop in town...actually the greatest shop I've ever dealt with. Adam and his team are very honest mechanics, thorough with their job, and have very reasonable prices. I'm a 21 year old female college student and when I move to columbia, I was worried about being able to find a shop that wouldn't take advantage of me and the fact that I know very little about cars. I've been going here for 2 years now and have never had any bad dealings with them. They'll show you exactly what's going on with your car and talk it over with you so that you understand it. They'll even give you a ride if they'll need your car for an extended amount of time throughout the day. CANNOT say enough good things about this shop! read more

I rarely feel the urge to write a review after visiting a business, but I am so grateful that I found M Y Automotive. I was having intermittent electrical problems that the dealership couldn't figure out. I wasn't too excited to drive a car around when the airbags didn't work, so I looked up shops with a reputation for electrical work and found M Y. Mike and Yuri asked me a lot of questions about what I was experiencing, and after Yuri worked on it, he told me to come back next week and pay him if the problem was fixed. I appreciate that he didn't want to charge me until he knew that he had actually fixed the problem! It reassured my trust that they weren't going to take advantage of someone who doesn't know much about cars. I had a 2000 saab 9-5 aero that was shifting really hard between drive and reverse, so I took it to Yuri at M Y Auto. For the past 9 months, I had been taking the car to Yuri for all my needs, because he seemed to understand saabs (which is a hard thing to come by now-a-days). But after my last encounter with M Y, I will never take a car there ever again. They told me that I had four engine/transmission mounts that needed to be replaced, which would cost $900. I told them I'd think about it and went home and did my research. Although they tried to be as vague as possible about which mounts needed to be replaced, there are only three transmission mounts and I had already replaced all the engine mounts in the car about a year ago, so I knew they were a little bit full of shit. I didn't realize how much though, until I looked up the prices for said mounts and ALL of them were priced higher than what I could get them for online. THEN, I went to another mechanic for a second opinion and he said only one transmission mount was a problem. ONE. M Y Auto will never get business from me again. read more
