Their billing is set up to charge a facility charge when filing claims with insurance. I had a…read moremammogram there, which I was advised cost $694. They billed the insurance $94 for the mammogram but $600 for use of the facility. My insurance covers 100% of preventive, but those sneaky charges (and in my opinion a way around the set agreed amount for in-network) to actually be in the center and use the machine goes towards my deductible. I'm very upset and saddened that after 5 years of using this place I will not be going back next year ( or for any other service that requires imaging ) . The staff was amazing, but I'm sure the other mammogram centers in Gwinnett have great people too (but no hidden fees)

Now he has his own practice, and it is professional, personal, well run, and always helpful with everything from squeezing in an appointment to navigating insurance questions. I trust him with the serious stuff (including multiple biopsies) and equally with the decidedly less serious stuff. Despite my best efforts to convince him otherwise, he takes a conservative, natural approach to cosmetic treatments, which is exactly why I trust him completely with Botox, filler, and peels. He knows when to say yes, when to say no, and when to remind me that I do not, in fact, need more. Most recently, I brought my young daughter in for a minor skin issue. After 10+ years as his patient, there's probably no better endorsement than trusting him with one of my children. He's knowledgeable, thoughtful, direct, and genuinely cares about his patients and his practice reflects this.

Unfortunately, my experience has been very different during my pregnancy. Pregnancy patients are required to rotate among all the doctors and nurse practitioners, which I found inconsistent and confusing during such an important time. I've also had several concerning experiences, including a doctor not reviewing my chart before discussing my previous LEEP procedure, another recommending aspirin despite my documented allergy, and a rushed Pap smear with a NP that resulted in heavy spotting and discomfort. Overall, my pregnancy experience has been disappointing. I feel they could provide better continuity by assigning patients to one or two doctors rather than having them see everyone in the practice. I'm seriously considering leaving.
