Patients should not have to repeatedly check in after waiting for hours without any communication. There was no explanation, no apology, and no effort to resolve the issue. I do not recommend this location. Management seriously needs to review their check-in system and staff responsiveness. No one should be treated this way when coming in for medical services.

Unfortunately with our recent visit with the employee named Lay it was totally vice versa. She took her ample time and had us wait and watched her calling the insurances company, re do the information that we have already in the system. And when I questioned her about it she told me that who ever helped us in our previous visits are not doing it the right way. Lay had her supervisor named Angie spoke and explained to us that they are just doing the protocol in making sure that they are going to get paid. I told them that my 86 year old mom fasted for the lab tests and she needs to eat right away to take her medications.I explained that it wasn't our first time there.There are no changes with regards to insurance coverages as well as her doctors order.Everything is the same so why should this appointment take so long. And their response was to just be more patient. So when Lay was done with the "protocol." She finally started to prepare my mom for the blood draw. As i was watching her having a hard time looking for the vein on my mom's right arm. She attempted to look for the vein on my mom's left arm where her bulged dialysis fistula was located. She tightened a rubber string on my mom's left arm. I interrupted and told her in a very concerning way that there was a fistula there and for what i know she's not supposed to use that arm. Lay replied with a very strong tone of her voice that she's aware of the fistula and that she's not going to touch it ,she just needs the vein above it. At this point i decided to get the supervisor's attention and informed her of what was happening..Angie confirmed that the left arm should not be use and she immediately assist us to moved to another room to be helped by another phlebotomist tech. As someone who has been going to this facility for years and experienced mostly consistent type of service. We never expect or anticipate this incident to happen. We hope that this review will encourage the center to have compassion,respect and acknowledge patient's concerns ,improve and prioritize patient care and most of all provide a complete,careful and detailed training to all their technicians.

It's a good thing I found it around 8AM because the website states that if the results are received by 11AM, I can have the results by 5PM. However, I tried to book an appointment via the website, and the options were only from 1PM onward, so I called to ask if they accept walk-ins. Peter answered and said that they do, but he recommended that I book online so that I don't have to wait a while. I informed him about the website's time options, and that I was trying to come in before 11 to have the results by 5, so he said it's no problem and to just come in. They're really good at returning calls btw, because I called twice and nobody answered, but got a call back within a couple of minutes. When I got to the center at 10:30, the sweetest man greeted me and explained the process thoroughly. He answered all of my questions patiently and kindly as well. I asked if they provided the certificate and he showed me a physical laminated sample of what it looks like. He asked if I needed it to travel and when I confirmed that I did, he assured me that it'll be accepted. He then explained what I need to do to perform the test. Afterwards, he let me know that I'd receive the results anywhere from 5-6PM. I didn't receive it at that time though, so before 6 I got a phone call to inform me that it will take closer to 6:30 due to the high volume of people coming in that day, which I really appreciated, and I did receive it at 6:30. Also, I really appreciated their honesty because apparently my payment went through online when I tried to make an appointment, but I ended up paying in cash in person. So they refunded my account instantly. ***TIP: If you're traveling, make sure to bring your Passport! Also, the process is easier/faster if you create an account online before heading there, which I did. To top it all off, their prices are much lower than the airport at $275 and other places who charge over $250 which is pretty ridiculous. I HIGHLY recommend Arbor Vita!

I decided to go with Arbor Vita. I registered online on their website and followed their instruction to make appointments. Since my family would be leaving within a week each, I made 3 appointments. First one, about 3 weeks ago. For expedited result, needs to give saliva sample before 9am. The place is easy to find using Google map. On their glass window there is a paper sign "Covid Test". Gave a copy of passport. Gave saliva sample. Yes, no pokey pokey in the nose. So happy they are so advance with medical technology. Pay the fee. Then we waited for the result at home. Before 1pm, I got text message informing the test result. Got the email, too. I used desktop computer to log in to my Arbor Vita's website. And click on the name to see test result. All info needed all there, and the QR code. I printed it. At SFO, the counter lady asked for everything, we gave her all she asked. All was good. One week after, same thing with appointment number 2. Result was delivered before 1pm. Today, appointment number 3 is my turn. Result was delivered before 1pm. I am very happy to find this laboratory. Mr.Pedro who greeted us 2 times was helpful and professional. I will come back to Arbor Vita in near future for our travelling needs. Thank you, Arbor Vita. (Tips to future customers: To help them help us, I suggest to read and comply with do and dont before the test. Such as, do not eat or drink 30 minutes before, nor brushing your teeth. Jennifer is super kind, friendly, approachable, and knowledgeable. When I had my newborn, I'd come to her weekly support group to get tips of latching, feeding, and all other baby related questions. You're able to do weighed feeds (weighing baby before and after breastfeeding) to see how much they took in. Jennifer also can help assess latch, and many moms book lactation consultant appointments with her to get 1:1 help. It was also really nice meeting new moms who had babies similar in age to mine. I was able to find my mom group through here, and now we meet up to do walks and park hangs. It's really nice that this group is offered to the community and I've found it extremely valuable for my mental health to be connected through this group. Even in third world countries, the health care providers are the ones updating the patient records - no one expects the patients to maintain health records. I mean, sure if the patients transfers from another institution, but my dad has been with them for more than 10 years. This is ridiculous. I always have to add that the individual doctors are mostly fine, but the way they organize things is shameful for the Bay Area.
