It depends on what type of repair, generally if it is a hardware repair such as screen or keyboard we do not.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Jason loves to tune up computers to make them run their best. He doesn't judge if…read morethe computer is old. He communicates via text, so you will know what problems he observes. He provides cost estimates for any upgrades or repairs he suggests, and the decision is always yours. There is no pressure--just information. I brought my boyfriend's laptop to Jason after it fell, damaging the DC power jack. This has happened before, and we weren't sure it could be repaired again. Jason assured me it could. He provided a very reasonable up-front estimate for the part and labor, which I gladly agreed to. Once he opened up the computer, Jason diagnosed a few other problems. He tightened the hinges, cleaned the fan and the heat sink, and applied fresh thermal paste for the CPU. When he installed the new power jack and recharged the battery, he noticed the computer was running slowly, so he asked if I would like to replace the old mechanical hard drive. Long story short--my boyfriend was thrilled to have his computer running well again. I appreciated Jason's work so much I brought him an old (over 10 years old!) MacBook to see if he could make it run faster. He transferred all my files to a new drive, replaced a broken trackpad, and changed the battery. It works like a dream now--and for a lot less $$$ than it would take to buy a new one. Jason knows his stuff! I will definitely be back with any computer repairs I need in the future.

Arrogant and Greedy. I stopped by for only less than 5 minutes of his time to just tell me my…read morelaptop is trash. Quoted me $60. Treated me like a poor person. Definitely needs to take classes in humility, compassion and customer service presentation skills just 100% wrong. He has learned nothing from his negative reviews.Rating F P.S. I am not taking this review down. You were also RUDE. I asked you for HELP and you just quoted CORPORATE speak. You were 100% uninterested unless I paid. Your body language is just AWFUL. You pretty much told me to get LOST and shut your office door in my face. Life is not all about money amigo. Help some people for free. I could pay $1000 to fix it but refused to give it to someone of your low character. Your energy is DARK man.

My wireless all-in-one printer finally passed away after three years of loyal service and, being…read moreInternet savvy but not so much when it comes to installing hardware, I started searching around for a better alternative to Geek Squad (way too much buck for not nearly enough bang) and, thanks to YELP, I got in touch with Dominique at DESERT COW and I have to report that I'm totally delighted that I did!! First off, I called on the weekend and left a voicemail expecting to hear back on Monday, but no, Dominique called within the hour, offered to come over later in the day, in fact, but we settled on Monday instead. She arrived promptly on time, provided friendly professional service at a very reasonable price---and I should add this particular printer was no simple "plug 'n play", especially when trying to interface with TWC's Byzantine wi-fi application---but Dominique sorted it all out in short order, no fuss no bother, and I'm one happy camper. Take it from this dedicated Yelper: for all your tech support needs in the Coachella Valley give Desert Cow a call, you won't be disappointed!!! HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION!!!

Looks like I am the only one that doesn't love Desert Cow Computers. I had a virus that MalWare…read morebytes couldn't fix. I checked around and noticed all the great comments from Desert Cow customers, so I called them. At first Service seemed great, they make house calls. When the tech arrived I mentioned that before the virus my PC had been getting slower and slower over the last few months. I asked him about installing more memory and He said I had plenty of memory. He noticed I had MalWare bytes, System Mechanic, and another software that was suppose to speed up the PC. He recommended I get rid of all and go with Norton. He mentioned that a solid state hard drive would make my system faster. So I agreed that he install a new drive, get rid of the viruses and all Malware and anti-virus software and Install Norton. It took 7 days to get my PC back (One of those days was a holiday, but 6 days is still a long time). After it was delivered and setup the PC started up so fast. It took just a few seconds to boot up. For a few seconds I was excited, then I was told I would have to re-install all my software. It took me a few hours every day for a week to get all my software re-installed and files moved to where they should be. The solid state drive is great for booting up my PC. It doesn't help when I am moving files, or installing new software. The problem is that my old drive was a Terabyte and it was replaced with a solid state drive that is 1/4 the size. The new drive doesn't hold all my data so most of my data is still on my old slower drive. I don't remember if the size of the drive had been discussed. I just assumed it would be replaced with a drive of the same size, or larger. If it had understood that I was getting a much smaller drive I would never have agreed to replacing it. Even after all this happened I wasn't going to write this. But a few weeks ago I called Desert Cow because I had another virus. The woman who answered told me she was working with another customer and would call me in about 30mins. It's been more than two weeks and no call. I was able to contact Norton and they fixed the problem in a few minutes.
