Order number L888570. Received sketch as a Christmas gift. Beautiful however the sketch seems like it's a digital print that has been pencil sketched over. Not a big deal however when given the instructions to not include the writing that said dude on the sweatshirt it was evident that the writing is still there making it obvious that it's not a true pencil sketch. Will not return calls or emails. I have attempted to contact myDavinci about an order I placed. The drawing proofs came back and we're not what I had hoped. We paid extra for matting and a frame. The artists/website kept sending back the same proof to me without any adjustments so I thought I had better discuss the issue with staff. To my confusion and shock, I have been trying for over a week to contact someone, ANYONE, and all I get is a voicemail. No returned emails except one saying to email for faster reply. This is a great concept company, but trust me when I say , you had better be okay with whatever you get, no matter what you pay, because the have no customer service. I contracted a local artists so I'll be seeking a refund, if anyone gets back to me. read more

Wow!! And not in the good way. After viewing an impressive gallery of artwork online, I was SO excited to give my husband a drawing from our wedding photos for our first anniversary- I thought, what a fun and unique thing to give for our "paper" anniversary.. unfortunately that never happened. After several phone calls and emails to complete my order (ALL of which went unanswered) I finally sent an email saying I would officially be cancelling my order and they didn't even respond to that!!! Not even an apologetic email response! I mean... the horrible customer service is almost laughable. They provide you with a phone number to call, but never answer (and don't call back) AND they provide an email and even an online messaging system through their website to which they also don't respond. How is this place even functioning?! I've worked in customer service for YEARS.. it's a pretty basic concept that you should correspond pretty diligently with the people wanting to provide you with their business. Such a shame. UPDATED REVIEW: Mydavinci sent me a complimentary hand drawn pencil sketch and it's absolutely beautiful! My husband and I love it, and truly appreciate a company that tries to right the wrongs of a less than desirable shopping experience. They do not NEED to offer a complimentary service but the fact that they did shows that they care for their customers and want their continued business. And I have to say, when I want a unique gift like this, I will probably use Mydavinci again. read more

Update: I did finally get my money back. I did finally get to speak with customer service. They offered it up for free, to make amends. Nice touch--and that is a good idea for dissatisfied customers. No, I declined. I was then told I would receive my precious photos back (she did say they found them, after all). As of today, I still have not received them. I had a terrible experience a couple of years ago with a similar company, so I was hesitant to try myDaVinci. I am very glad I did. I ordered an 11-14 watercolor house portrait in a matted frame as a gift for my father. He was selling his childhood home and I wanted a way for him to remember it before they knocked it down. The artist worked with me to get the portrait just right. Everything was done in a timely manner and shipping was fast. They did send me the portrait in the wrong frame, but resolved that problem right away. My father was so thrilled with the portrait. I definitely recommend them and would use them again in the future. read more

Terrible Terrible Terrible ! Placed my order within a well before my anniversary with expedited shipping - called customer service just to make sure it would get to me in time, was told by customer service I would get well before my anniversary. After not receiving within about 5 days spent 3 days calling customer service left voicemail and sent emails and finally spoke to Pam on day 3. She said it should have shipped but didn't so she would over night to me so I could get in time for anniversary. Asked her for tracking confirmation which she said she would send. When I finally received tracking turned out is was shipped standard and I am now receiving package well after my anniversary. Attempts to call customer service again have proven to be unsuccessful. I hope that when I finally receive order that my wife is happy with it but definitely never ordering from this company ever again. And if you decide to do it make sure to do it even more well in advance than I did to avoid frustrations. read more

Recently I needed some artwork done for a couple's anniversary gift. I needed to update artwork I had done about 4 years ago and I had very little hope that it would still be available to edit. But I was delighted to find out that yes, Mydavinci could and would edit the original and have it to me to approve within 2 days, The very next morning I had the artwork to approve and did. It was very well done and I loved it. It was delivered within 4 days after that and I presented it to the couple and they were overjoyed with it, so much so they wanted me to order a copy to hang in their second home. MyDavinci did an awesome job! Blown away by how easy the whole process was and how great the canvas came out, especially with how affordable their pricing is. Great value. Their website was extremely easy to navigate through to get exactly what I needed. I simply uploaded my picture, submitted it, approved it and a few days later my brand new, beautiful canvas showed up on my door step. I was also pleasantly surprised to see attention and detail they took with packaging my canvas print. The staff is delinquent and unprofessional in ensuring good customer service. I was purchasing a pencil sketch for a friend who was moving to another state. We were having a party. I advised Mydavinci clearly in my initial order of the delivery date and if they could not ensure delivery to advise me. This was a gift for my fiance on his birthday. He had just lost his father a year ago and had very few pictures of him that were worth framing. So finding this photo and having it reproduced in a larger format as a penciled sketched not only made it unique but it memoralized his father in a very personal way. I bought a print of American Gothic with two good friends' faces superimposed to celebrate their recent purchase of a farm. The print arrived damaged in the shipping tube (crushed) and had creases which were not fixed with dry board mounting during framing. Pam in customer service got wind of this through an earlier YELP post and immediately sent a second print without question. As this was clearly an issue with the shipper, I saluted her effort to make the situation right. The quality of their work was good to excellent. Once framed the print looked fantastic and was much appreciated by my now-rural friends. I would definitely recommend Mydavinci to a friend! read more

Wow has this company done a complete 180. They must have new management and new artists. I ordered a photo for my for my sister of her and her new fiancé, I wanted to see it it both the licht style and comic book style. They showed me both with no problem. I lived the licht style and did not have to make one correction. The first one they did was beautiful! My sister loved it! I will100% order from this company again and can't wait for another picture! If you do get your art, the quality is very good as I have ordered few times from them before but, if you do not, for whatever reason, you will receive ZERRRRRO support and reply, as someone correctly reviewed on this site! I have not received my order (apparently it went to another state) and left gazillion messages through email, telephone, chat window, only to be completely ignored receiving no reply whatsoever! It is beyond frustrating, unprofessional and UNETHICAL!!! To make it more ridiculous, the main office is located in Illinois which is around the corner from me. Also, the package actually was finally in the post office next to me (I receive USPS notifications) only to be re-routed to another state the next day! Look, mistakes can happen, I understand it but TO COMPLETELY IGNORE your clients (especially repeated business one/s) has me speechless. I would expect that type of arrogant irresponsible acts from the overseas company with limited English, etc. Seems, I have no choice but to show up in the Carol Stream office. Rarely do I take the time to write a negative review but my experience with this company was disgraceful. I had ordered a hand drawn sketch from a photo I uploaded. The first rendition came out and I asked for a minor edit to be made. They made that minor edit and then changed something else. I let them know that they made a change that wasn't requested. Clearly, something got lost in translation when I communicated the edit. No problem, I thought. I'll just call and walk them through it. Mind you, this was around the holidays and timing was very important. I waited 24 hours for a call back and when I didn't hear back, I called again. And then sent an email. And another and another. No one ever answered the phone or responded to my email. There is no customer service. It does not matter what extension you dial, you can only leave a voice mail message. My messages were always cordial and on point. Perhaps if I yelled, screamed and threatened, I would have gotten somewhere. I finally asked for a credit. I am still waiting for their response. I will be in dispute over this charge as I have never received the product. Buyer beware. read more
