    So blue! Lol

I love My Doc Now. I feel like they honestly care and want to provide excellent service. So much that I referred my adult children and my Dad here. They take great care of their patients.

Visited for urgent care on vacation. The MyDrNow website at the time clearly listed urgent care as one of their services. They billed our insurance as a primary care provider in spite of not even being available in our state. On calling them they lied to us and said they did not offer urgent care as a service, and will not bill our insurance that way. Thankfully, the internet has receipts.

Now I am strictly Rebeca Rowen's patient and LOVE HER!!!! One visit I got a random person and instead of him reviewing my chart he decided a lecture was far better. I walked out in tears. What finally caused me to write this review unfortunately has nothing to do with the provider herself, it's the company's process. Today's call to make an appointment ended with asking for my insurance information and reminding me (first time I've heard this) that they do NOT verify insurance, it is my job to do so. WHAT?! Since when did this became their policy? So if you don't fully understand what the comment means, IF YOUR INSURANCE IS OUT OF NETWORK AND YOU DIDNT CAL YOUR INSURANCE TO CHECK YOU WILL BE RECEIVING A BILL that would most likely have been covered or had a higher coverage rate had you gone to an in network Dr. So if this isn't a problem for you make sure you always verify with your insurance because they can be in network for one visit but for a future appointment no longer be in network.

To make a long story short, here is are bullet points of what occurred: 1) Reached out to OM to ensure they accepted the new insurance plan I was considering. I was told by TWO different employees that they accepted it. 2) I used this insurance to see my doctor several times over a health concern. 3) Received a bill stating I would need to pay all out of pocket because OM didn't accept my plan. 4) Reached out to various departments at OM asking about this. After several attempts and many delays in getting someone to respond, I was finally told to speak to the office manager. 5) Office manager informed me they would look into it and see what could be done. Few weeks went by, no response. Reached out various times and finally heard back from a new office manager who told me she would look into the issue. 6) Several more weeks went by and still nothing. Left messages and emails and after about 4 months of this, was told I would need to speak to my insurance since they couldn't help me. 7) Due to the amount of time between having received the initial bill and finally being told I need to figure it out myself, I asked for them to please not send the bill to collections since I am very aware that medical offices will quickly take this route. 8) Was informed that they had already sent me to collections and there was nothing they could do about it and didn't even try to make it right by offering to refund my membership or anything else. 9) Had to pay the full bill through a collection agency which has now affect my credit all due to their staff being incompetent.

I was repeatedly contacted by the office to schedule a Medicare Annual Wellness Visit, which Medicare considers optional for patients. After I declined the visit and canceled a scheduled appointment by voicemail, I was contacted by office staff regarding a "no-show." The conversation became argumentative, and I was told that if I did not complete the wellness visit, my prescription refills would not be authorized. I later received an email from Dr. Tokatlian acknowledging that the Medicare Annual Wellness Visit is not mandatory for patients, but he also informed me that it would be best for me to transfer my care to another primary care physician. During the same period, I was managing several significant medical issues, including prostate cancer, melanoma, and other specialist care. Rather than feeling supported during a difficult time, I felt that office policy had become more important than my long-standing physician-patient relationship. I appreciate the care I received over many years, but based on my recent experience, I cannot recommend this practice.

I've Been a Patient Here for Years, and the Care Has Always Been Exceptional…read more I have been coming to this doctor's office for the past few years, and every visit has been a positive experience. The entire staff is consistently warm, welcoming, professional, and genuinely caring, which makes such a difference. The office is always clean and has nice decor. Katrina, NP, is simply the BEST! She is friendly, compassionate, knowledgeable, and incredibly competent. She always takes the time to listen carefully, never makes me feel rushed, and addresses every concern with kindness and respect. I truly appreciate the exceptional care she provides. She provides the same great service on Telehealth appointments. I know some people mention that some providers occasionally run behind schedule, but if they're running late, it's because they're giving the patient before you the same exceptional care they'll give you! The company may only allow appointment slots that are 10-15 minutes, but many patients have complex medical concerns that simply can't be addressed that quickly. I'd much rather wait a little longer than feel rushed through my appointment. As a medically retired registered nurse, I recognize quality healthcare when I see it. Katrina, NP exemplifies the kind of provider every patient hopes to find. I am grateful to have her as part of my healthcare team and highly recommend her and the wonderful staff at this office.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel other patients should be aware of our experience…read more My father is 82 years old, diabetic, and on dialysis three times a week. On June 24, his pharmacy notified us that his medication required a prior authorization from this office. Because the authorization was not completed and the medication was medically necessary, we had to pay out of pocket to ensure he did not go without treatment. Since then, we have called the office numerous times, spoken with multiple staff members, and repeatedly explained the urgency of the situation. Despite multiple follow-ups and escalations, the prior authorization was still not completed in a timely manner. We were even hung up on during some of our calls, making an already stressful situation even more frustrating. At no point did we feel that the seriousness of my father's medical condition was being taken seriously. What is most disappointing is that my father, an elderly patient with significant medical needs, has had to endure the stress and uncertainty of this situation. He is fortunate to have family members who can advocate for him, make repeated phone calls, and navigate the healthcare system on his behalf. I cannot help but think about patients who do not have that support. No elderly or medically vulnerable person should have to fight this hard to receive a medication they have already been prescribed. It is deeply concerning that clinical issues like medication prior authorizations appear to be handled through a call center that is unable or unwilling to appropriately address urgent patient needs. Patients deserve timely communication, compassion, and a process that prioritizes their health--not repeated transfers, unanswered requests, or disconnected calls. The way this office has handled this situation has been unacceptable. I am sharing our experience because I genuinely do not want another patient or family to go through what we have experienced. I sincerely hope this practice improves its prior authorization process, communication, and overall care for medically vulnerable patients.
