However the prices are ridiculously high compared to online retailers like Amazon. I love the atmosphere and experience of shopping in person but it's hard to justify the higher prices for the same books that I could get delivered to me. Great store, just wish the prices were more reasonable.

So to clarify, the place they work informed the public that they had stock of the toy people can't ever find for their kids. Seems simple, right? We go there when they open at 10- my kids so excited to get their hands on something they have been wanting so bad. We get in there and the two women working had attitudes of a middle school teenagers. They couldn't believe they had to deal with people who were eager (and all respectful) to get a toy (that they posted!!!). I reminded the one with the worse attitude that it's really not that big of a deal, this is just exciting and makes kids so happy. She responded with no words . Again, acting like a child. I fear even a teenager would have a better attitude. I understand there ARE people who have bad attitudes about these toys but none of us were those people and they should have mentally prepared for people to be there when they opened. Surely there is some meditation they could do before experiencing the horror of parents getting a toy for their kids. I pray they make it through this craze and that the next craze is just going outside and breathing so they don't have to deal with it. God bless.

Went to B&N this past weekend to purchase a book and to pass the time until I could meet my…read moredaughter and sister at AMC to catch a movie. I didn't have a problem at all finding and purchasing the book I wanted and the cashier was super nice. My issue was with the person in the cafe, hence the 2-star rating. My plan was to have a slice of quiche and start on my book. I stood at the counter for longer than I thought was necessary. The person behind the counter was making a coffee for another customer and when done, called the customer to pick up the order. Then the person proceeded to prepare another order, I assume for the folks who were sitting down waiting. Not once was I acknowledged; she walked past me at least twice without saying a word, not even eye contact. I was totally bemused! It was if I was invisible! Needless to say, after a while, I just walked out. No more cafe' visits for me! Subpar customer service at best. :-(

It has your Starbucks café inside, as well as your customer service desk, children's area, and the like. I passed by this past weekend to get some books. Lately I've been obsessed with the Bridgerton books, and well, it being Tallahassee, it made much more sense to get them at a bookstore over Amazon. Much quicker! Not to mention, too, that they recently changed their membership program, and being the bibliophile that I am, you know I'm a member. I should also add that their app is super convenient in that it tells you if they have books available. You can also order them for pick-up, but I chose to go there instead and peruse. I somehow limited myself to what I went for, but I admittedly was tempted to purchase a book by Isabel Allende. Next time I'm sure, next time.

If you are trying to wait until class time to see if you actually NEED the book, then be prepared to bring snacks for your time in line. The book store staff is actually really helpful and they will show you right to where your books are and walk you around. They hire extra staff when the semester has started for this exact reason. It's awesome. They let you rent books in here as well which is useful, expecially hen your book normally costs about $200. Besides books the computer store is now located in here, they're helpful, but your computer could be trapped in there for like 2 weeks so be sure to have a back up way to do your homework. As for the selection of clothes and souvineers, they have a huge selection, so when you get stuck on what to buy your dad for fathers day or something you can pop in there and buy him an FSU cap or something like that. Overall a good book store that has what you're looking for or will at least order it for you in a more or less timely manner.

First day of class for Fall 2019 semester. Parking at Woodward garage and FSU bookstore are both a madhouse, but fun! :)
