I got charged for initial inspection which I was surprised wasn't credited when I had the work done by them which is a common practice, but ok will let it fly. Then I was told 4 different stories about the pricing and work to be done. My coil was under warranty so no cost for that part. 1. 1st I was told job would be about $3000 plus coolant cost while unknown cause some coolant can be preserved but could be as much at 10 lbs at about $150 per or maybe $1500 more. Back in few days with new part. 1st person 2. When I called questioning costs and may have to cancel work order I was told 2nd story that hourly labor costs were about $150 and it would take about 4 hours. 2nd person 3. So someone else (3rd person) got on phone, maybe a manager or owner not sure, he said there is no hourly rate. They charge a flat rate for whole job and that no coolant is preserved and there would be 2 men doing the work. And coolant was included in the $3000 so no extra cost there. But he would do me a solid and take about 10% off. I asked for an estimate. Said ok but still felt I was over paying. The estimate was not line item but just few lines of what they would do and a cost. I shopped prices online and felt they were high but with 2 men coming out for 4 hours and 10 lbs of coolant plus some pipe supplies, ok so I'm a few hundred bucks overpaying. 4. 2 men came out and worked 2 hours not 4. So not 8 man hours just 4 total. And I was told coolant is preserved and that they would not know how much is needed till they came back to test on warmer day. 4th person 5. 1 guy came out to test system and top off coolant. He took 1/2 hour to add 3 or 4 lbs coolant. So 4.5 man hours I'll give em 5 at $200 per hour $1000 and 5 lbs of coolant at $150 thats $750 and maybe $50 for some pipe and welding. $1800 MAX. Will not go back to them nor recommend anyone else. I figured 8 hours at $150 that $1200 plus Coolant at $1500. Ok few hundred over pay but more then $1000 with a pun intended: That's not cool I'm giving 2 star only cause the onsite employees were ok.

I bought a house about a year ago. We have been struggling pretty much the whole time since we…read morebought the house with a/c and heat and in general things just not working correctly. I've had people come service the unit, and look into to multiple different things. Today I had someone come and look into everything. And why my electric bill was running 100-150 more than it should be. and has been for a while now. After looking into everything he found that the thermostat that was wired into our home a few months before moving in was wired completely incorrect. Not only were wires not where they were supposed to be it was also set up for someone with gas heat. The saddest thing about all of it was the previous owners supplied us with all receipts and paper work for the house. We found the receipt for the installation and this company charged this poor old couple $250 to install a $30 thermostat and to top it off it wasn't even installed correctly. This cost not only that couple 100's of dollars but also us 100's of dollars. Just be aware when you are working with people especially if you re not well versed in what your having worked on. I'm just very disgusted about how the previous home owners were taken advantage of and not serviced correctly when most likely it was because of their age.

This past week we had a part failure on our heat pump, and Mike personally walked us through various troubleshooting procedures over the phone before coming by to examine the unit in person. He ended up ordering a replacement part, coming back the next day and spending over an hour installing it and ensuring it was working properly. And for all this work, four years after installation? No charge at all. Mike has been in the business for years, and genuinely sees his customers as valuable, long-term relationships. It's borderline incredible that in an era where seemingly everyone in the universe is out to nickel and dime you for every little thing, people like Mike are still putting in the work.
