Absolutely exquisite dinner here at My Homies Kitchen. Dined here with my friend and it was so very memorable. Food here is made with intention and with the philosophy of zero waste. Each item is soooo very good. We started with the agave fermented drink similar to kombucha, slight sweet with a clean finish. The stracciatella melon salad had prosciutto, melon, lemon, cucumber, arugula, balsamic glaze, and couscous came together in the most beautiful way. I could have eaten this all day. Nick was the Agua Chile, what a flavor explosion. Every bite had a different texture. The corn tortilla was incredibly aromatic, and aqua chili feature Alaskan halibut, radish, pickle, watermelon, rain, yellow, and red watermelon, avocado, and chili oil. Such a simple presentation were incredibly complex flavors, while honoring their zero- waste philosophy. The yellow watermelon dish was sweet, nutty, fresh, and perfectly balanced with basil, pistachios, and pickle watermelon wine. Every ingredient had a purpose. Then came duck mole, easily 10/10. The duck was sous vide, smoked, grilled, and big Intel unbelievably tender, Paired with the rich, deeply flavor for mole and their beautiful handmade tortilla, this was one of the best dog dishes I've ever had. They also surprise us with a yellow watermelon. I'll go Frisco. It was the most refreshing palate cleanser. To finish, we enjoyed their flower chocolate torte with blueberry compote and strawberry sorbet. The perfect sweet ending to an unforgettable meal. This 5 course meal was perfect from start to finish. To anyone wondering if they should check out My Homies Kitchen, YES! I finally got to try this new spot and WOW... it completely exceeded my expectations. It was a 5-course experience and every single dish was beautifully crafted--vibrant, thoughtful, and packed with flavor. You could tell so much care went into balancing textures and flavor combinations in each course. The absolute star of the night was the main dish: the duck taco. I'm still thinking about it. The duck was unbelievably tender--it literally melted on my tongue--while still having that perfect crispy finish on the outside. The contrast was just incredible. The cactus salad was another standout. It was so fresh, perfectly seasoned, and honestly one of the best versions I've had. It balanced the richness of the other courses so well. And to end it all, the dessert... a rich chocolate dish that was indulgent without being overwhelming. The perfect ending to a flawless meal. Overall, this was one of those dining experiences where every bite felt intentional and exciting. Had the 5 course meal which is 5 small plates for $55 and everything was fresh, beautiful and delicious. My favorite was a dish with raw salmon, peach, mango, avocado, cucumber, micro greens and some kind of slightly spicy and sweet chile sauce . My hubbie's favorite was the venison with wild rice (forgot to take a picture) and he said the salad was the best he had ever had (also no picture) Both of us loved the goat cheese ice cream with peach sauce and a little lemon muffin. Wait staff was super sweet young people. Price was incredibly reasonable. Be aware that there's no menu--you don't get to choose your meal tho i think they make some modifications as needed for allergies and other preferences. It is not a fast experience. Be prepared to hang out and let the meal and socializing be your evening entertainment. They don't have alcohol but I think maybe you can bring a bottle. Downtown Fresno has some wonderful local businesses! This is a new favorite. You might need a reservation, starting to get more popular. read more

Amazing! You can choose three, five, or seven fixed course meal (there is no menu). Go there when you have some time on your hands. This is not fast food! We were there for over two hours, but that is part of their allure. They use seasonal ingredients that are sourced locally. The server was extremely nice and explained every course to us in detail. We chose the five course meal ($60 per person) which included a salad, fish sashimi course, an appetizer, a main course, and a dessert. Our first salad was the best salad I have ever had in my life. It had beats, big couscous, micro greens, and a chunk of soft cheese that was incredible. The next courses were a blue fin sashimi, a cauliflower dish, a souved duck with Nopales and beans dish, and a fantastic dessert of an acorn almond cake with sorbet. Alex, the chef, came out to chat with us and even shared some of the indigenous specialties and the concept of the restaurant. It is a nonprofit that is working to use indigenous food practices, and community empowerment. They also do catering and participate in art hop where they have a different kind of menu. Quite possibly the best food I've ever had while eating out. The attention to detail, the flavors, the nice conversations between entrees, the friendship and connection was top tier.
