I had a move-out cleaning. When I first arrived to grab the last bit of our things, the cleaners had just arrived. They were VERY friendly and they were hard at work cleaning the window sills and bathroom upstairs. We left and didn't come back until the next day. The kitchen looked amazing and all the counters were great! But the floors weren't swept - AT ALL. And it was rather egregious with dust bunnies and leaves that had blown in, so I don't think they forgot. We also paid an extra $40 for grout cleaning in the master bath, but that wasn't done. It looked like they ran out of time? I had filled out all the information on how many bedrooms and baths needed cleaning, but I don't know how long they had allotted. I came back the next day to sweet and scrub the bathtub and grout myself. I let MyHoustonMaids know and the manager contacted me and refunded just the amount I paid for grout cleaning. I'd use a different company next time - especially for a move-out when you don't have time for them to come back and fix it. You get what you pay for, I think, and this company is quite cheap. read more

This never went right from the first time they cleaned my house. The team was nice and personable but the cleaning was not very good. A lot of corners cut and just carelessness-- Moroccan rug sucked up into vacuum cleaner making a large hole, acid used in my stainless kitchen sink causing a chemical reaction that created rust on the stainless, scratched the stainless on my fridge (looks as if they used a scrubbing pad in it and if that isn't enough-- out fitted sheeted were put in the beds inside out and too sheet an quilt put on sideways. Just so disappointing. I wanted to like this company but each cleaning brought new problems and damages. The owner is great and very responsive. I couldn't find my confirmation emails and he responded quickly and resent them within minutes. The cleaning service however was below average. We requested the service a few weeks before expecting our baby, wanting a clean home for her and something I could just maintain due to time. They upsold me saying they needed longer in order to do baseboards and blinds.. I accepted. I walked in after their service and couldn't get over the smell. The cleaner was not a fresh scent but very musty like a mop that had been used 1000 times mixed with cheap lavender scent. Our house reeked for weeks. Mainly in the bathrooms but the smell was so strong it was everywhere. The dishwasher was labeled "dirty" and they put away all of the dishes dirty. I pulled out cups and bowls from cabinets I had put in dishwasher prior to running it, that smelled like old milk. Not sure if this was included.. but our ceiling fans still had dust on them big time. Was looking forward to those being cleaned. Feel like we wasted money completely. My husband doesn't want us spending money on cleaners so I was so excited to have it done just once. Such a bummer. read more

Nice people. They are a bit over priced for the 280sqft I was needing them to clean. It is what most call a "cabana". It is an efficiency one full bathroom but no kitchen at all with a bed that only needed to be made up because I personally wash them and leave on the bed for housekeeping. Zero laundry, zero kitchen, and 280 sqft, they asked for $135 to $180 depending on the mess. That is just a bit on the outrageous side of cost. I can have my entire 4 bedroom/2 bath WITH and kitchen cleaned very well (I have very high cleanliness standards) for the amount they gave me. I told them thank you and I'll pass. But still they were very nice people. read more

She not only cleaned but sorted and reorganized and make suggestions for how we could be more efficient with our shelving. Team was on time and ready to work. They did an exceptional job. My house was dirty & dusty due remodeling after the freeze caused pipes to break. There was so much work to be done. They finished all of the work. And, during the final walk-through, I could see that their quality of work was exceptional. My front storm door is still so clean you have to look twice to determine if there are truly window panes in it. read more

Poor cleaning practices and poor follow up. I booked a deep clean on a Friday in November. The web portal is pretty easy to use for scheduling. Our housekeeper showed up on time and was a pleasant person. Unfortunately, we have hardwood floors and she mopped, then vacuumed. Who does that? Later that day I emailed a photo of a towel I used to wipe down a small area in our kitchen. It was filthy. The owner called that Monday, left a voice mail saying he wanted to make it right and would call me back the next day. He did not call. I called him at the end of the week and left a VM and adjusted the schedule but kept our biweekly cleaning booked. But, I never heard from him. I decided between the horrible way our wood floors were treated and the lack of follow through this was not the maid service for us. read more

I scheduled a job for a 2 bedroom townhome for a move out cleaning. It appeared that countertops were wiped down and the inside of the refrigerator was cleaned however not all cabinets and other things were cleaned. I'm not sure how much effort was put in the remainder of the cleaning. The baseboards and ceiling fans appeared untouched. My roommate and I had to go back and take extra time to clean baseboards, ceiling fans, sweep, vaccine and mop last minute. Toilets appeared to be wiped but still had dust and needed more cleaning. When I emailed to provide feedback the company did reply immediately but the refund did not match the extra time/work that needed to be done. I'm hoping others had a better experience but I personally wish I would have hired an independent person and would not recommend this company. read more
