Fayetteville location I wish I could leave no stars. Dealing with this place has been an absolute nightmare. The office is tiny and all children are seen at the same time in the same one office. The staff seem nice and helpful but refuse to follow through with anything asked of them. Made an appointment with a new dentist and had to pay out of pocket for a new set of x-rays because the staff refused to send over medical records after multiple calls over a week. There is someone in office that offers 25% services in return for a positive Google review which is why there are so many 5 star reviews. just now i would not wish this place on my worst enemy. they claimed that a family member (a child) had 7 cavities and when i took them to a different dentist and an orthodontist, they advised he only had 3!!! they are frauding Medicaid and the lower income people and that makes me angry as a tax paying citizen. DO NOT USE THEM. find a different dentist even if you are on Medicaid, which this child isn't on any longer I wish there was a negative star rating. read more

One star is too many. In February our young son ( just turned 3 last week ) had to have an oral procedure done. Dr. Bibbs Prayed with us and reassured us everything was going to be okay. Less than six months later I am holding my sweet baby as he finally sleeps after having BOTH teeth that had root canals and caps put on by her REMOVED. They were deeply infected. The dentist we researched and took our son to now was heartbroken over what our child has been through. We had just moved to this area and had no idea of the type of work MyKIDZ would do and how it has traumatized us and our son. I beg of you PLEASE go somewhere else. If you have an appointment please cancel and find somewhere else to go. We have spent so much time, money, and tears trying to fix what was done to our baby boy at this office, please don't let it happen to your child too. read more

My daughter(16) went to have cavities filled and they wAnted to hold her down to get it done. When I refused to pay $35 for nitro gas they said they couldn't continue. They were also holding down a 6 year old to force him to get the cavities filled. Personally witnesses them holding a 4 year old down to get X-rays. Three dental hygienists and the doctor. I generally do not post reviews, but having read through many of the reviews, the other parents are completely correct. We are experiencing the same thing with this dental practice. Unfortunately, my daughter has a deep cavity on tooth T. If it weren't for another general dentist confirming the cavity, I would not have allowed them to see her or fill her tooth. 1. Different Dentist every visit. We originally started going to the Atlanta (Highland) location in 2015. Once MKD purchased our old dentist's practice, quality, customer service, and generally patient care quickly deteriorated. There has been a different dentist every time we visited (every 6 months). 2. Billing - Not adept at it and not helpful. Received a bill from 11/2017 in November 2018. They did not file it with my insurance and just sent me a full bill. 3. Customer Service- Automated phone circles and when you finally get someone, they never have an answer and just place you on hold or tell you they will call you back. Also rude to my husband in the Newnan office when he brought our daughter in for her sedation filling on 1/22/19. No one ever mentioned that he could not be present for the procedure. As these are minors, parents are allowed. They would not allow him to be present. That was last straw and made me write this post. I'm done with this practice. If we need any type of followup, I will rather pay out of pocket at another dentist than to come back here. read more

My son was getting teeth cleaned in pain crying and told had to get it done hang in there. I said stop they were scraping his gums. They also pulled a tooth and he was not all the way numb yet. They should have given shot more time to work. Big hurry not the best place for kids. read more

I visited My Kidz Dentist today (1/5/2016) with my 6-year old boy-girl twins. It was fantastic. The Dentist was amazing and the hygienist allowed my children to "help" with the cleaning. I visited the location previously when it was under different ownership (Dr. Brown) and was skeptical when I initially called to book an appointment. However, we had a great experience. The office is kid-friendly and we were in and out within 40 minutes (seriously). One more thing: Although the new name sounds corporate, it is not. It is owned by a single mother with two children. Our family just moved from California a year ago. We wanted a dentist close, but not many pediatric dentists in our area take Medicaid insurance. That's ok, we are working on better insurance. Our first appointment went ok, but I didn't like that they would not let me go to the back with my child. We finished with the appointment with no other issues. We understand that the COVID situation is and has been tough on many businesses, so that's why when we scheduled our 6-month visit and were called to reschedule, we didn't get upset. Our 6-month checkup was due around February, but since then, we have been rescheduled 3 times. Instead of being rescheduled a fourth time, we opted to wait. About a week ago, August 4th, we began calling to try and schedule a check-up, but received no answer. We aren't fond of leaving messages, so we decided to try calling the following day. We have called multiple times since then and even alternated between my partner and I. We have yet to reach a person. We have yet to be followed up with after our previous three cancellations. We get an automated message so we assume this place is still open, but there must not be any people working. How is it a business is unable to answer the phones for a week? Times are tough, we understand, but where is customer service?! If you want to schedule an appointment or talk to a person, I wouldn't recommend trying this place. Over two hour wait. Way too crowded with over 20 kids in the dental area and another 15 in the front waiting for one Dr and 4 available seats. This place is also unsanitary with no effort made to keeping the dental area clean. There were kids playing and running around. The DR did not seem to give more than 20 seconds of attention to us and her expertise was very lacking. The dental assistants were lousy with little to no skill and even burned my daughters face by dripping sealant on her face during a simple tooth sealant process. This place is horrible. Awful. Just plain awful. Carrollton location. My son had to have a chip in the tooth fixed done before school started. First off, they would not fix the teeth without cleaning the teeth (gotta make more money!!!). Second, they lied and put in a temporary filling, not a permanent one like I asked them to. Filling came out 3 days later. They won't do anything else without us seeing the orthodontist. Not even put a temporary filling back in. Nerve is not exposed. No pain in the tooth, but they refuse to touch it. Now a 9 year old has to go to school with a chipped tooth! Or, we have to go to the orthodontist and then put a crown on (that's what My Kidz Dentist told us we have to do). Who puts a crown on tooth of a 9 year old?!!!! Horrible! Do NOT take your kids here! My 3 and 5 year old went in to get a simple procedure done just a few fillings. She suggests they be sedated for the procedure because with more up to date Xrays my kids had a few more cavities than before. We get there only needing 3 fillings a piece and leave with both of my children having SILVER CAPS on every single tooth but the bottom 4 and white crowns on their top teeth. Their teeth were completely normal healthy teeth before we go there and now all they do is complain about their teeth. So much unnecessary work on toddlers and NO EXPLANATION read more

We had the opposite experience of the previous review. We had a very good experience with the new practice . They all introduced themselves. There was no wait time. They were friendly and informative. My son is ten and had lost a lot of teeth since his last appointment so we had a lot of questions and concerns. We went in for my 4 year old one cavity on baby teeth led to so many caps and extractions worse mistake ever communication isn't clear with billing and schedule I don't know the ladies name but she has a Hispanic accent. Not good experience. Not truthful. Dr is friendly but I think my child didn't need all the work on her mouth she only had baby teeth being that she owns this business maybe that is the whole point to make money period, and anyone will fall for it because of not being able to read xrays!! We were there one morning and all I saw were kids coming around the same age as my child to be sedated and have some kind of work done on their mouths. Stay away. Horrible is an understatement. I was referred by the Carrollton location, which I was told they would call to schedule an appointment. After 2 weeks of me harassingn the Newnan location I was able to make an appointment. Thwy said my son needed 4 crowns, which I thought was a lot but they didn't explain much. I should have asked more questions, yes. They had to sedate my son and whwn he come out it was awful! They pulled 3 teeth and did 8 crowns without my knowledge! I was so upset! Also the crowns come off, I've had 4 some off of his teeth and they make you pay out of pocket. Now I've had crowns and none kept coming off like these do. I feel and several other moms I've talked to said they have did unnecessary dental work and pulled teeth that don't need pulled and will apparently use elmers glue to put the crowns on. Beware of this place and keep your kids away from here! They will butcher your kid's mouth! read more

My son is autistic an he's been going to different dentist since he was 12months My Kids Dentist is a blessing for parents like me we had the most amazing experience they were able to get an full x-ray cleaning an exam which he never fully had. My child went in for sedation because she is terrified of needles. We have had this procedure in the past with no issues. But the anesthesiologist (who had an awful attitude) didn't do things that were done in the past. It was later explained to me that the Dr was not an actual part of the dentist office. He held the needle like he was going to stab my child and it terrified her. She started fighting and 2 nurses attempted to calm/restrain her. They were great but the dr grabbed my child's arms and was attempting to give her the shot. She was cornered and crying and screaming and I had to make him stop. I will go back to the office but I refuse to have him near my children. My daughter had two huge marks on her arm and a bruise from being held by Dr Goldsmith. Also, be prepared to wait. We were in the office an hour and forty mins before going back. The wait time there is always awful. read more

Such a bad experience. It's such a chaotic environment, to start. Also they have a play area IN the actual exam room which is insane to me. We had to wait there for like a half hour while my eldest son was playing on his hands and knees. They are fine with that, but when my 1 year old started walking around barefoot [mommy troubles, I forgot his socks, he wont wear shoes, and he wouldnt stay in my lap that long] I was called out rudely and publically in front of a room full of people. She didnt ask me, she snapped at me about it loudly. It was just so hypocritical. How about you not put a filthy play area in the middle of an exam room!? It was so rude. The tech wasnt even nice or polite about it. She was so hateful and I was seething the rest of the visit. read more

My son needed dental work and I struggled finding a dentist Office. My first visit was at the Fayetteville Office and I must say the wait was terrible, I was there for about 3 hours just for a consultation. I was instructed on the amount of dental work my 4 year old needed and sedation was the best option. I was given very little information on the actual work but by the price of the bill it was a lot. The day of my son's appointment there was much less of a wait. However, I was not aware of all the crowns they were doing, nor that they would be ALL be silver. They worked on 9 teeth and they are all silver but 2 of the 4 in the front. 2 other lower teeth in the front are silver and extremely noticeable, I wish someone would have been VERY clear because I dont think all of it was needed. I felt so sorry for him after looking closely at his mouth. I felt as if they destroyed his beautiful smile. His entire mouth is silver. He's 5 years old and I can't imagine his teeth could be so bad in just 4 years. I could only see 2 visible cavities which I thought were not that bad and I'm no Dentist. Just make certain you clearly understand what's being done as I don't feel I did. I'm a Father of 3 and to think I did this to his smile just broke my heart. Noone wants to see their child like that especially for the amount of money I paid and seeing what real professionals work looks like. I would like to believe that such a place isn't out to just make money but after visiting another dentist I don't believe that's the case here. We trust these professionals with our children, I just wish someone would have really taken the time to sit down and explain all the work that needed to be done and I would have gotten a second opinion. Since then my some has had numerous of these crowns come out. I have since changed the dentist I take my son to and will never be returning here again. If you chose this office please be aware of what they are actually doing and what your paying for. Damage can be done that can't be fixed until their permanent teeth come in. My daughter recently had her teeth cleaned and examined by a dentist at the Carrollton office. She had x-rays taken and was then examined by the hygienist for about 5 mins max which involved getting her teeth polished (fancy brushing) and flossed...not once did they attempt to remove any plaque or do a proper examine. She was then taken to the dentist who then evaluated her teeth, while I was speaking with the dentist's assistant, she applied fluoride to my little girls teeth, which in all honestly I never saw happen, but could tell she had based on the residue on my daughters teeth, this encounter was all of 2-3 minutes. My insurance was then billed over $180 for this less than 15 minute total encounter. I am highly dissatisfied with the service we received and quite frankly I'm concerned about the ethics of this practice. I later contacted the office to have a form filled out for my upcoming Kindergartener...this is a standard form that is required by school systems...all it requires is a check box, signature and stamp. In order to have this form filled out I had to pay $10. I work in healthcare and have filled out hundreds of forms for patients and not once have I charged for a simple form that is required by the county. I find this practice to be unethical and money seeking and will no longer allow them to take care of my children's dental care and I encourage you to take caution in any future visits as I find their dental staff less than competent and greedy. read more

First experience with a pediatric dental doctor as a parent was the most horrible experience. Care and concern all the way from the staff to the doctor, who is also the owner of the practice, was severely lacking. We were dismissed due to several instances of this office failing to provide us the proper notification and information. Stating in their dismissal that the provided release of records paperwork had the incorrect contact phone number because it was disconnected. No surprise there that outside of the box thinking was not done to locate our numbers on our child's profile or on the several chains of email I had back and forth with the surgery coordinator. I imagine the number that was put down may have been transposed due to the extreme frustration of being told the doctor is refusing to provide services to my 6 year old based on semantics and lack of information from two offices. Oh and we still have to pay $30 for the release of records. Also told it would take 7-14 business days to have the records. I have spent the last 7 years in the meducation field and, you either have an EMR system where you can print automatically or paper where you can make copies. No, no, of course no consideration yet again were not made. At the end of the day, my sweet 6 year old, whom the Carrollton and Newnan office forgot about has to continue to suffer. read more

DO NOT go to this dentist. They scheduled a surgery for a crown to be put on my sons tooth at 12pm September 24th. Originally scheduled for October 17th. They first gave an appointment of 12 noon. Arrived at 12 noon and at 140pm still sitting has not been seen. My son has not ate anything since 9pm the night before. They say he can have a sip of water. Come to find out the Doctor went to lunch. He was NEVER going to be seen at 12pm that's when they take their lunch. They tried to make every excuse in the book about the DR basically us slow in her surgeries. Well that's not even the icing on the cake. My son already had two crowns put on at the same dentist using nitrous oxide(laughing gas). Ironically for his third crown they feel he needs surgery. Looks like it's about the money. The worst experience ever. I will be taking this further and hiring an attorney. They also removed four of my child's teeth all in the front and nothing has grown in since then. Again sounds like money. Don't trust anything they say. I will be taking this legally further because no child should have to experience malpractice like this. read more

Yikes! Horrible experience at N Highland location where Inman Park Kids Dental Spot used to be. No one introduced themselves. The appointment was almost 30 minutes late without mention of being late (only a sign reading "The best thing we can spend on our kids is time. Please be patient"). They pushed extra services that were unnecessary (according to a pediatric dental colleague who did a residency at Harvard that I asked when my gut felt they were misleading me), and they explained nothing. It's a sales force getting you in and out and spending money and totally impersonal. No bedside manner. Don't seem to care about kids or parents. Just getting done. Grateful my kids were just happy to get tokens for cheap-o prizes and don't care about who treats them. I wouldn't trust this practice for anything. read more

My daughter started going to this practice around 6 years ago, when Dr. Bibbs was more present in the Newnan office. Everyone was nice and I was more than pleased with the service. I agreed to let my daughter go through sedation and receive several caps when she was 4 years old. In the past few years, things have fallen off. We haven't seen Dr. Bibbs in long time. For my child's last 3 visits, I have had issues with the billing. I would receive bills that had been paid and had to present receipts showing where I had paid the bill. The clientele has gotten so big that it's always crowded and you feel like you're being herded like cattle. My daughter is now 11 and this year, after another bill discrepancy and them losing my daughter's records, I decided to go to another dentist. I found out that my daughter didn't even need the caps that she was given. It is so disheartening to see just how much this business has gone into the ground. read more

My son has been seen here three times now , just for his cleanings . Which are only twice a year, the second time i was notified that he had to get a filling but they would call because they have to see price with insurance. They never called , not a big deal i just waited until the next cleaning. We had our appointment a few weeks ago and i was yet again told about his cavity and needing a feeling. They told me I would have to go over it with the finance lady in the office to see how much it would be , with sedation they said it would be around 1200! she explained to me that the office takes mostly medicaid and state insurance , so they are not use to "normal" insurance... first sign to run! then also gave me an option to take my son to the hospital to be sedated ... scary that a dental office even gives this as a option , clearly they don't know what they are doing! Then she tells me that its an estimate because they didn't even run my insurance yet ! She told me they would call the following day , a week later they called, but i didn't answer seeing i will NEVER return to that office with my children. I DIDNT PLAN ON WRITING THIS UNTIL I CAME HOME TODAY TO A BILL FOR HIS CLEANING WHICH I SHOULD SAY IS 200 ..... they also don't know i work for a dental firm and my job is handling dental insurance! so the fact that my son is double covered under two dental plans , yearly cleanings are covered. Trying to call the office is ridiculous , it doesn't even go directly to the office! The staff is horrible , while i was there two of the assistants were arguing and the staff should not be a working with children. Stay away from this office ! RIDICULOUS read more
