Guys, I'm a massive fan of this place. From the detail spent on the space through to the smell of freshly roasted coffee beans, I've not had a poor experience yet. Tucked away in Wright street, a journey here is well worth it.

    Yummy cake selection!

Made the stop here as one of the few places open on Queens Birthday public holiday! Amazing coffee and great selection of cakes and bites to eat. Great place for brunch but make a booking, by the time I got there at 1030, I only just got a table for 2! Speedy service and got a sunny spot by the window which was divine. It's located on Wright st, so lovely and quiet but still close to the city so was able to find an easy park. Worth a look!

A bright, casual cafe not far from the Adelaide Central Market. The staff are friendly and easy going. After enjoying a quick coffee on a Sunday morning we came back at the earliest opportunity for breakfast. I found the menu to be well thought out and contemporary, with the dishes appearing from the kitchen making the choice even harder! As a muesli aficionado I chose the Almond milk soaked Bircher Muesli which was visually pleasing, full of interesting flavours and embellished with hazelnuts, blueberries and apricots, while the Smoky house baked beans with Barossa feta was described as "a hearty, simple dish, enhanced by the addition of a poached egg". Definitely will be back to work our way through the menu as soon as possible.

My bf got the whole kingdom which he really liked. He also said the coffee was ok. It had a cute foam art on it tho! I had the Black Forest waffle which was ok. The waffle could have been done better. I'm not sure if they were pre-made and just reheated but it kinda seemed that way. Would have been better if it were crisp. The cream on it would have been better if it were sweetened a little.

Holy heck I love this place. Strange location, but it seems to be up and coming with food and coffee places. It can lead to some very interesting people watching being so close to whitmore square but it doesn't matter because hell the coffee and food makes you delve into a dream world. The passion the employees have about coffee is insane, they will talk about the coffee and make suggestions, whether you want filtered, cold drip, espresso, macchiato or your general flat white you will get it and you will be impressed. Good clean bright atmosphere, not super crowded with tables and it has some outside seating. Some times you have to pay extra for avocado but for the smashed avo with heirloom tomatoes add a poached egg nobody cares. Have nothing bad to say about this place and my boyfriend states their hollandaise is the best he has had in Adelaide. Win win.

What more can I say than "wow"! I had myself one delicious brunch in this busy and gorgeous new establishment on Wright Street. It was a tough decision to make when choosing what to order as there were so many tempting options on the menu but I am so happy that I went with the Gin Cured Ocean Trout because it was delicious - and oh so pretty to boot! The staff were super friendly and there were so many tempting items on the menu and in the cake cabinet that left me convinced that I will soon need to return. Our food and drinks (my friend ordered the fresh squeezed grape-fruit juice which was a nice addition to standard orange juice) came out in a good amount of time, considering how insanely busy they were! I only have one whinge and that is 'no split bills' - which always kills me because it can be a pain when getting together with a group but otherwise, no complaints here! Excellent for long weekend brunches, this will now be my go-to choice when I find myself on this side of town - and I don't think I could think of a better place to write about for my 300th review!

The title of the cafe thrilled me, a quote from Shakespeare I had to check it out! So when my friends invited me for brunch there I jumped (despite rocking a very hungover self) I could only stomach a coffee and watched as my friends devoured some tasty brunch. Unfortunately the coffee was terrible, being an ex barista and trainer of the 'art of coffee making' I had high expectations of the coffee here. Unfortunately I was very let down, the coffee was bitter and had a funky taste (I could blame that my palette may not have been in the greatest shape after the many tequilas the night before so I left it) I also left with a takeaway coffee (I wanted to give it a second chance-I like coffee ok!) this time I received an equally disgusting coffee and it wasn't until I got home I realised it was made with cows milk. I haven't had coffee with diary in a very long time, I find firstly that I am allergic to diary and secondly I find soy compliments the coffee. So I was very disappointed. But I didn't want to write this place off on one experience so I went back with a friend and had poached eggs on toast with a side of hollandaise and avocado. It was Devine I have never had such a delicious hollandaise in my life. The eggs were perfectly done and the avocado was not stingy. The presentation of the food was beautiful as well. My friend had the trout and he enjoyed it as well. But. Sadly a but. I found one of the waiters appalling rude. I had asked who was on the coffee machine because of my terrible previous experience. The waiter (I believe he is the manager) responded by literally walking away and ignoring our table for 20 minutes before somebody finally took our food order. Being an ex manager of a couple of Cafes I would never treat a customer like this. rude behaviour I was ready to walk out watching him stand behind the coffee bar just relaxing chatting to another waiter blatantly ignoring us. Finally we ordered a lovely young blonde man took our order and the food came very quickly. And to the girl who made my coffee thank you. It was delicious and I thoroughly enjoyed it. To all the wait staff except the manager thank you for a lovely meal and coffee. My rating would be 5 stars if this man hadn't treated us so poorly. Food 10/10 coffee (round 3) 8/10 service for the older waiter -10/+10 but for all the other servers 10/10 atmosphere 10/10

This corner block fitout was bright and light with lots of white tiles used throughout. We sat in front of the kitchen where we could see straight in. The kitchen looked messy and cluttered. I think a curtain of some sort would be beneficial here. We were offered table water upon sitting down. Always a thumbs up in my opinion. We perused the extensive menu umming and aahing over all the tasty-sounding dishes. What appealed to me was the amount of home-made goodies they had on offer, from brisket to lox (cured salmon). Most of us settled on the salmon blini and one brisket salad. I ordered a side of toasted bread on the side as well. The presentation was beautiful. Every dish looked delectable and mouthwatering. Taste-wise: it was lovely., but "standard". I didn't taste any point of difference compared to another eatery had I ordered the same or similiar dish. The other ladies enjoyed theirs and so did the lady with the brisket. She said the beef was tender and flavoursome. I want to come back and try another dish, something with their homemade bagels I think.

For food I tried the Leo - eggs with cured Salmon on a open bagel - very delicious except I wasn't a fan of the bagel itself: I won't let it affect my review though because I'm sure that it was an actual 'traditional' bagel as opposed to the white bread ones I'm used to. Will definitely swing past again next time I'm down Jeffcott :)

You can easily drive by looking for something bigger, better, more open but you would be missing out. There's a cafe a little up the road that's also great but targets a different type of customer - I believe these two can co-exist happily. I was in a rush so I bolted in, was welcomed by a friendly bearded young bloke at the counter (with a lady in the kitchen), asked for my standard medium FW and because I didn't want to fumble with the menu, asked what I could snack on other than what was in the display cabinet (which looked fresh and inviting). He offered a toasted egg and bacon sandwich with house relish (oh yes please) and one or two other things but I was already sold (rushing remember). I took a couple of photos & took in the surroundings before my coffee was brought to me. Well crafted, creamy, strong enough, perfect temp with some nutty after tones. It took less than 5 minutes and my sandwich was brought out to me and I left feeling happy. Another five minutes later after I had demolished the sandwich I was even happier. It was delicious with just the right amount of filling and the relish a great flavor They have coffee cards where every 6th is free and my spend was just under $10, also a fair price. Look, I'll be going back and unless I'm mistaken I won't be changing my review. They do have some competition from further up Churchill Rd, from Prospect Rd, and from Jeffcott St, but this is a little gold star cafe in suburbia that aims to please and produces what it produces well enough to please its customers.

Queen Street Café is a great demonstration of a fun creative team. The café itself is very decently sized. Lots of space inside and out. A big long communal table as well if you want to dine alone. I think looking back at previous reviews, they are getting better when it comes to service. I ordered the gnocchi with roasted seasonal veg. Lovely pan fried brussel sprouts, roasted pumpkin, spinach, and mushrooms. Best of all, the gnocchi was soooo sooo soft and buttery. Wow, it's been a long time since I have had gnocchi like this. Well done chef! So much flavour in this dish as well. What better to go with a veggie gnocchi than a carrot, orange, and ginger juice. It so so tasty and fresh. I don't personally want to have kids charging around in a cafe on the one hand, and in between tables and chairs on the side of a reasonably busy road on the other hand. I don't care how trendy it is and I certainly don't care how many young up and coming professionals are discussing the better stocks to buy since the global financial crisis at brunch; if they have children they should be watching them, especially if they insist on sitting outside next to a reasonably busy street. There is a level train crossing at one end of the block here and that means there are regular periods when several cars will be banked up and suddenly driving through. Half a dozen times I saw kids nearly get toppled by traffic while I was sitting here. I was most alarmed. There's such a great children's playground down the road, all fenced in and beautiful - up here in cafe la la land the adult were so engrossed in the food and conversation they just ignored a few kids who were evidently still in play mode. I have decided the place gets enough custom without me talking about the lovely furniture or the strictly word of mouth policy that the owners have - no business card, no brochure, no website... just word of mouth; well, the word of mouth at my mid morning soiree was "Watch out!" Seriously, I'd rather eat somewhere else and leave all the swank alone.

Dress up or down, take away or dine in, Chris Jarmer has created a warm and welcoming atmosphere in the old Plant 13 with white walls, french chairs and lots of homely decorations. Staff are incredibly friendly and offer attentive table service even during a busy dinner service. The menu is non-vego friendly, seafood selection is limited and non-fried or roasted meals are a little hard to come by for the health conscious. We must have made pretty poor meal decisions as after ordering the potato langos, duck croquettes, arancini, olives and a mushroom gnocchi I rolled out feeling heavy and greasy. All meals were very oily and the only dish that benefited were the warmed olives. So for the woman who walks in watching their waistline, preferring to eat seafood and get plenty of 2 and 5 in their meal, you might want to accept a different dinner invitation. If you know what you're getting in for and are cool paying a price for a gourmet pub meal then this isn't a bad spot for a pre-show meal or Sunday brunch.
